  • In this study, we propose a cow behavior recognition system based on YOLOX and OC-SORT. YOLO X detects targets in real-time and provides information on cow location and behavior. The OC-SORT module tracks cows in the video and assigns unique IDs. The quantitative analysis module analyzes the behavior and location information of cows. Experimental results show that our system demonstrates high accuracy and precision in target detection and tracking. The average precision (AP) of YOLOX was 82.2%, the average recall (AR) was 85.5%, the number of parameters was 54.15M, and the computation was 194.16GFLOPs. OC-SORT was able to maintain high-precision real-time target tracking in complex environments and occlusion situations. By analyzing changes in cow movement and frequency of mounting behavior, our system can help more accurately discern the estrus behavior of cows.

  • BIM technology, which was introduced to systematically manage buildings, is also being combined with augmented reality technology to provide users with realistic services. In order for the BIM model to be accurately positioned in the real space, it is necessary to align the BIM modeling space with the augmented reality space. In this paper, we propose a method to accurately position a BIM model at the designed location when augmenting it into real space. In the proposed method, an augmented reality application is implemented by applying the Unity 3D game engine and the ARCore platform, which uses the plane recognition function of ARCore. We generate a marker on the detected plane to set the location of a BIM model, and correct the direction of the model using the normal vectors from the wall and floor. Implementation results show that the proposed method utilizes ARCore's plane recognition library to effectively compensate for spatial differences and accurately place the model in real-world space.

  • In the field of automatic door, the infrared rays and microwave sensor are much used as the important components in charge of the motor's operation control of open and close through the incoming signal of object recognition. In case of existing system that the sensor of the infrared rays and microwave are applied to the automatic door, there are many malfunctions by the infrared rays and visible rays of the sun. Because the automatic doors are usually installed outside of building in state of exposure. The environmental change by temperature difference occurs the noise of object recognition detection signal. With this problem, the hardware fault that the detection sensor is unable to follow the object moving rapidly within detection area makes the sensing blind spot. This fault should be improved as soon as possible. Because It influences safety of passengers who use the automatic doors. This paper conducted an experiment to improve the detection area by installing extra ultrasonic sensor besides existing detection sensor. So, this paper realize the computing circuit and detection algorithm which can correctly and rapidly process the access route of objects moving fast and the location area of fixed obstacles by applying detection and advantages of ultrasonic signal to the automatic doors. With this, It is proved that the automatic door applying ultrasonic sensor is improved detection area of blind spot sensing through field test and improvement plan is proposed.

  • In this paper, we propose a vision-based robust vehicle detection and inter-vehicle distance estimation algorithm for driving assistance system. We use the haar-like features of car rear-shadows, as well as the edge features for detecting of vehicles. The use of additional vehicle edge features greatly reduces the false-positive errors in the vehicle detection. And, after analyzing the conventional two inter-vehicle distance estimation methods: the location-based and the vehicle width-based, an improved inter-vehicle distance estimation algorithm which has the advantage of both method is proposed. Several experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In this study, we propose a method for effectively detecting and recognizing the face in image using RBFNNs pattern classifier and HCbCr-based skin color feature. Skin color detection is computationally rapid and is robust to pattern variation for face detection, however, the objects with similar colors can be mistakenly detected as face. Thus, in order to enhance the accuracy of the skin detection, we take into consideration the combination of the H and CbCr components jointly obtained from both HSI and YCbCr color space. Then, the exact location of the face is found from the candidate region of skin color by detecting the eyes through the Haar-like feature. Finally, the face recognition is performed by using the proposed FCM-based RBFNNs pattern classifier. We show the results as well as computer simulation experiments carried out by using the image database of Cambridge ICPR.

  • Computer vision is coming more interesting with new imaging sensors' new capabilities which enable it to understand more its surrounding environment by imitating human vision system with artificial intelligence techniques. In this paper, we made experiments with Kinect camera, a new depth sensor for object detection and distance measurement functions, most essential functions in computer vision such as for unmanned or manned vehicles, robots, drones, etc. Therefore, Kinect camera is used here to estimate the position or the location of objects in its field of view and measure the distance from them to its depth sensor in an accuracy way by checking whether that the detected object is real object or not to reduce processing time ignoring pixels which are not part of real object. Tests showed promising results with such low-cost range sensor, Kinect camera which can be used for object detection and distance measurement which are fundamental functions in computer vision applications for further processing.

  • In this study, a newly constructed optical measurement system, whose main components were a parametric tunable laser and a near infrared photoelectric multiplier, was applied to detection of the information for the inside of Satsuma mandarin using time-of-flight near infrared spectroscopy (TOF-NIRS). The combined effects on the time resolved profile of sample diameter, sugar content, the wavelength of the laser beam, and the detection position of transmitted light were investigated in detail. The samples used were Satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshu $M^{ARC}$.) (location: Wakayama, Japan) having the diameters of 50-84 mm. The sugar content measured by a refractometer varied from 9.9 to 16.3 Brix%. Equator of sample was irradiated vertically with the pulsed laser, and transmitted output power was measured on the restricted position of the equator using the optical fiber cable. The sampling time and the number of averaging the output power were 100 ns and 100 times, respectively. The variation of the attenuance of peak maxima At, the time delay of peak maxima t and the variation of full width at half maximum w were strongly dependent on the detection position and the wavelength of the laser beam. At, t and w increased gradually as the sample diameter increased to be much absorbed and vigorously scattered. On the other hand, each optical parameter had a tendency to increase as the sugar content increased. Such behavior was remarkable when the transmitted light was detected at the side face of a sample. When we apply TOF-NIRS to detection of the information for the inside of fruit with high moisture content like Satsuma mandarin, it is very important to give attention to the difference in the scattered light within tissues and the semi-straightly propagated light. Furthermore, we tried to express the resulting phenomena by using a model samples composed of water, sucrose, and milk. The variation of the time resolved profile is strongly governed by the combination of the light absorption component, scattering medium, and refractive index.

  • In modern society the image processing has been applied to various digital devices such as smartphone, digital camera, and digital TV. In the field of image processing the edge detection is one of the important parts in the image processing procedure. The image edge means point that the pixel value is changed between background and object rapidly, and includes the important information such as magnitude, location, and orientation. The performance of the existing edge detection method is insufficient for the image degraded by AWGN(additive white Gaussian noise) because it detects edges by using small weighted masks. Therefore, in this paper, to detect edge in AWGN environment effectively, we proposed an algorithm that detects edge as calculated gradient of sorting vector which is transformed by estimated mask from new pixel according to each region.

  • The compression of video data is intended for real-time transmission of band-limited channels. Compressed video bit-streams are very sensitive to transmission error. If we lose packets or receive them with errors during transmission, not only the current frame will be corrupted, but also the error will propagate to succeeding frames due to the spatio-temporal predictive coding structure of sequences. Error detection and concealment is a good approach to reduce the bad influence on the reconstructed visual quality. To increase concealment efficiency, we need to get some more accurate error detection algorithm. In this paper, We hide specific data into the motion vector difference of each macro-block, which is obtained from the procedure of inter prediction mode in H.264/AVC. Then, the location of errors can be detected easily by checking transmitted specific data in decoder. We verified that the proposed algorithm generates good performances in PSNR and subjective visual quality through the computer simulation by H.324M mobile simulation tool.
