The paper examines the influence of ownership type on environmental performance of Chinese listed enterprises. China's environmental problems are attributed to the collusion between enterprises and economy-oriented local governments, which has allowed many companies to skirt environmental regulations. Especially, local state-owned enterprises (SOEs) tend to have worse environmental performance than private firms, under the wing of local governments, with whom they have a closer political connection. According to the report of the Environmental Protection Agency, currently the unacceptably poor environmental performance of local SOEs has severely hampered the realization of green economy in China. After examining the dataset of 15,996 firm-year observations from 2,688 listed firms, this paper found that, in the presence of central government supervision and personnel intervention, listed local SOEs will be forced to improve their environmental performance in accordance with standards set by the central government, which leads to better environmental performance than that of listed private firms (private firms). The result of two-stage regression also supports the conclusion. This shows increased supervision and personnel intervention from the central government can significantly improve the environmental performance of local SOEs. The research in this paper expects to make a contribution to attaining the goal of green economy in China.

This study explores the issue of campus expansion of an urban university using an in-depth case study of New York University in New York City, USA. It investigates the physical pattern and development mechanism of the campus expansion process on a city grid structure. The three elements that characterize NYU's recent campus expansion, are (1) the university's commitment to building a student community around a public open space on a subway network, (2) four types of property acquisition and building development practiced by the university with private developers for space leasing, building renovation and development under changing local development circumstances, and (3) the city's initiative for attracting the private sector whose development activities influence the university's development dynamics. These findings suggest that the expansion planning of an urban university, due to its location in a city, should be placed on a local planning agenda, which can positively contribute to public goals through the collaborative engagement of the private and public sectors.

Local universities are faced with rapid environmental changes in 2000's. Therefore local universities are required to research for more specialized marketing strategy such as positioning strategy. The objectives of this study are to examine what are the most important university images and image position of 7 universities'. In order to this study, 276 questionnaires collected from university in Busan area are analyzed by t-test, anova. The results of this study are summarized as follows (1) the most important university images are ranked in the order 1) prospect of getting employment(4.78), 2) possibility of development (4.35), 3) confidence(4.31), 4) research ability(3.97). It is true that practical images get high grade, traditional image such as research ability remains yet as a very import image. (2) Except (A, F) & (B, E) university, common position is not found among the 7 universities, therefore each university cultivate important image as G university dose. The purpose of this study is to identify effect in how urban garden is run by different operators in Korea, and consequently how it determines the level of community formation among urban garden users. Based on this analysis, the study is intended to present some points as to how to better manage urban garden. The operators are divided into three types: public, public-private partnership and private. The study interviewed each operating entity and surveyed garden users to gauge the extent to which communities are developed. After the ANOVA analysis and Scheffe post-hoc analysis, it was found that the levels of community formation among users of public and public-private partnership urban gardens were similar (so can be grouped together), whereas that of private urban garden users was higher (separated as another group). However, this study found no meaningful differences in the level of community formation among all types of urban garden in a local community. Some key suggestions are made as a result. First, as for the public and public-private partnership types of urban garden, it is necessary to foster leaders to build a community. Next, it is worth noting the potential of public-private partnership in realizing community revival through urban garden. The last suggestion is that, generally, the urban garden has only little influence on community formation in a local area so far, thus more practical consideration needs to be given to enhance the role of urban garden in a local community.
The purpose of this study is to understand the perceptions of stakeholders in environmental conflicts. The private rental housing project in Busan Sasang-gu Jurye 3 District, which took place in 2017 is one of many cases of environmental conflicts between developers and local residents. The case is considered as a typical failure of collaborative governance that has consequently caused negative impacts to both local residents and government. To understand why local residents could not come to consensus even though the majority of them were against the development project, we analyzed residents' perceptions and subjective opinions towards environmental conflicts. This study adopted 'Q methodology' to investigate human subjectivity. The results showed three distinguished types of subjectivity structures. Each type was named as 'collaborative governance advocates', 'public administration distrusters', and 'current local government supporters' based on their characteristics. Participants in all three types showed opposition to environmental damages that can be caused by the private rental housing development, but they revealed different perspectives on the importance of public participation and institutional responsibility in the process of decision-making. This study makes better understand what makes it difficult to build collaborative governance as a means of overcoming environmental conflicts.

This study is for why Korean private universities make high position and performance on their archives. It's needless to say that archives of university is desperate for democratic management, historic and cultural identity and administrative efficiency. As for archives of private university, it has to be set by its own organization as the name of '00 university archives' if possible. At the same time both 'administrative structure' and 'working-level structure' should be activated for the better output. It might be helpful to empower itself. Archives of private university have to fulfill these basic role; aquisition, arrangement, classification, preservation etc./service/study of archival science /university history compiling. It could be expand to the link between university and local community, open class and digital archive service.
