  • Recently in the field of GIS(Geographic Information System), data integration from various sources has become an important topic in order to use spatial data effectively. In general, the integration of spatial data is accomplished by navigating corresponding space object and combining the information interacting with each object. But it is very difficult to navigate an object which has correspondence with one in another dataset. Many matching methods have been studied for navigating spatial object. The purpose of this paper is development of method for searching correspondent spatial object considering local position error which is remained even after coordinate transform ation when two different building data sets integrated. To achieve this goal, we performed coordinate transformation and overlapped two data sets and generated blocks which have similar position error. We matched building objects within each block using similarity and ICP algorithm. Finally, we tested this method in the aspect of applicability.

  • A datawarehouse is generally used in organizations for decision and policy making. And In a distribute environment when a new system is added, there needs considerable amount of time and cost due to the difference between the systems. Therefore, to solve this matter. Firstly, heterogeneous data structures can be handled by creating abstract queries according to the standard schema and by separating the queries using XMDR. Secondly, metadata dictionary which defines synonyms of metadata and methods for data expression is used to overcome difference of definition and expression of data. Especially, work presented in this thesis provides standardized information for data integration and minimizing the effects of integration on local systems in discrete environments using XMDR to create information of data warehouse in realtime.

  • In the enterprises the data integration based on service requires integrated data management as the change in the environment of enterprises accelerates. Cooperation among enterprises is accomplished through accessing distributed database using business process. As this approach is performed based on the global query, problems such as data heterogeneity, schema heterogeneity, and verification of validity have to be solved in advance for the interoperability among the heterogeneous system. Thus, cooperation requires dynamic and reliable construction. In this paper, we propose XMDR-DSM (eXtended MetaData Registry-Data Service Mediator) system for cooperation. XMDR-DSM, which is comprised of XMDR-DS, XMDR-DQP, and XMDR-DAI, supports the mapping between global schema and local schema and provides data access and integration service. Therefore, XMDR-DSM enables the mutual support of business operations among heterogeneous database. In addition, it can secure information as reusable asset and the standardization of interchange. Also it can manage unified information since it provides business process based on workflow; therefore, it will be able to increase the life span of information and reduce the cost.

  • For construction project in extreme cold region, it is essential to establish basic data on the site such as topographical data from the early stage of construction of planning and designing, and it is needed to frequently perform site investigation when necessary. However, extreme cold regions are characteristic of being at long distance and difficult in approaching, and special regions such as Antarctica, in particular, are hard to conduct site investigation. Although a site investigation may be conducted, those who can visit Antarctica are sufficiently limited so that most of the staff may participate in construction without knowledge of the site and increase the risk of errors in decision making or designing. In order to resolve such problems, the authors in this study identified methods of building wide-area topographical data and bedrock classification data of exposed areas via remote sensing and of building precise topographical data on the construction site. Also, the authors attempted to present methods by which such data can be managed and visualized integrally via three-dimensional GIS technology and all the participants in construction can learn sense of field and conduct necessary analysis as frequent as possible. The areas around the Jangbogo Antarctic Station were selected to be the research area for conducting effective integrational management and three-dimensional visualization of various spatial data such as wide-area digital elevation model, ortho-images, bedrock classification data, local precise digital elevation model, and site images. The results of this study may enable construction firms to analyze local environments for construction whenever they need for construction in extreme cold regions and then support construction work including decision making or designing.

  • This paper presents a multivariate kriging algorithm that integrates categorical data as secondary data for spatial interpolation of sparsely sampled ground survey data. Instead of using constant mean values in each attribute of categorical data, disaggregated local mean values at target grid points are first estimated by area-to-point kriging and then are used as local mean values in simple kriging with local means. This algorithm is illustrated through a case study of spatial interpolation of a geochemical copper element with geological map data. Cross validation results indicates that the presented algorithm leads to significant respective improvement of 15% and 25% in prediction capability, compared with univariate ordinary kriging and conventional simple kriging with constant mean values. It is expected that the multivariate kriging algorithm applied in this study would be effectively applied for spatial interpolation with categorical data.

  • This study proposes a framework of a GIS service network to connect local governments'Land Management Information Systems(LMIS) together. Databases constructed far LMIS's are very crucial information on both administrative business and civil affairs administration. However, they did not give full play to their values because they could not be shared sufficiently. Local governments build their databases individually using diverse GIS solutions. It causes some problems on sharing them. To demonstrate their geniuses, they should be connected to each other within a network for the whole country, and are served whenever and wherever to people who require them. for this, there are two main problems to be solved. Firstly, a GIS service network that handles heterogeneous and distributed computing environments is organized to link every LMIS each other by the GIS service network vertically and horizontally. Secondly, a mechanism should be developed to access the GIS service network readily and to search GIS data efficiently. The needs from every types of user should be satisfied by the mechanism. As the result of investigation of the issues, one of the most possible solution was suggested in this study, which is a Web based approach. To take into account the advance of information technology in the future and the requirements of e-government, stepwise strategies that integrate the LMIS's into a Web based system was recommended.

  • We demonstrate the MMIC(monolithic microwave integrated circuit) frequency doublers generating stable and low-cost 29 ㎓ local oscillator signals from 14.5 ㎓ input signals. These devices were designed and fabricated by using the MMIC integration process of 0.1 $\mu\textrm{m}$ gate-length PHEMTs (pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistors). The measurements showed S$\_$11/ of -9.2 dB at 14.5 ㎓, S/sub22/ of -18.6 dB at 29 ㎓ and a minimum conversion loss of 18.2 dB at 14.5 ㎓ with an input power of 6 dBm. The fundamental signal of 14.5㎓ was suppressed below 15.2 dBc compared with the second harmonic signal at the output port, and the isolation characteristics of the fundamental signal between the input and the output port were maintained above 30 dB in the frequency range of 10.5 ㎓ to 18.5 ㎓.

  • We present ferroelectricity of Bi-doped ZnO film probed by piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM), which is one of the Scanning Probe Microscopy techniques. Perovskite ferroelectrics are limited to integration of devices into semiconductor microcircuitry due to hard adjusting their lattice structure to the semiconductor materials. Transition metal doped ZnO film is one of the candidate materials for replacing the perovskite ferroelectrics. In this study, ferroelectric characteristics of the Bi-doped ZnO grown by pulsed laser deposition were probed by PFM. The polarization switching and patterning of the ZnO films were performed by applying DC bias voltage between the AFM tips and the films with varying voltages and polarity. The PFM contrast before and after patterning showed clearly polarization switching for a specific concentration of Bi atoms. In addition, the patterned regions with nanoscale show clearly the local piezoresponse hysteresis loop. The spontaneous polarization of the ZnO film is estimated from the local piezoresponse based on the comparison with LiNbO3 single crystals.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish a linkage between local forest human resources policies and the analysis of forest resource conditions in Gyeongsangbuk-do. In particular, the study aims to gather insights from students enrolled local formal education institutions through a demand survey and their opinions. These findings would serve as basic data for the formulation of medium- and long-term policies. According to the results of the analysis, all surveyed groups expressed a desire to pursue careers, entrepreneurship, or further school education based on their forestry majors. Among, the most important needs identified for local human resources, receiving training related to field practice and access to information emerged as paramount. In addition, it was observed that educational programs were conducted on weekends and during school vacations, with integration into the school curriculum to ensure participants not only benefit from self-development but also receive administrative support. A notable observation in the survey results was the absence of a network among forest professionals, signifying a key weakness within the forest sector in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The results of this study hold significant value in terms of analyzing and sharing the educational preferences of forest human resources in Gyeongsangbuk-do, thereby serving as basic research data for proposing policies. In the future, by expanding the scope to include case studies and forest human resource preference analyses through cooperation with other local governments and institutions, the research can contribute to the establishment of national-level policies for forest human resources on a broader scale.
