Recently, BIM(Building Information Model) is widely applied to all stages of SOC (Social Overhead Capital)facilities life cycle from planning to maintenance. While BIM is an analysis tool focussing the inner space of facilities, GIS is principally applied to analyzing relationship between facilities. Therefore, integrating BIM and GIS, we expect to get a potential synergy effect in aspects of effective information management and various analysis for SOC facilities. This paper deals with prioritizing SOC facilities for applying BIM/GIS integrating platform to local governments. First, investigate facilities required by law, and identify SOC facilities suitable for SOC characteristics. Second, analyze the effectiveness and applicability of BIM/GIS integrating platform applying each facility. For the purpose, we quantify effectiveness and applicability in aspects of UIS management and GIS functions. Lastly, prioritize the SOC facilities applying BIM/GIS integrating platform.

This study analyzes the awareness of citizens towards the autonomous integration process between Goesan-gun and Jeungpyoung-gun. According to the survey, the citizens of Goesan-gun agreed on the integration, but the citizens of Jeungpyoung-gun disagreed on the plan. This result is different from the findings of the opinion surveys which were conducted in 2009 and 2012. The reason why some citizens agreed on the integration is that the integration will help more with the systematic administration service and the convenience of administrative process. Also the citizens are expecting the expansion of the convenient facilities and the economic growth through the local festivals. In the political view, it will cut the operating cost of the two provinces. However, there are some reasons for the disagreement of the integration. The first reason is that the independent development will be more beneficial for each province. And it will be more effective if each province separately promotes the local festivals to be more productive. Nevertheless, the citizens in both areas admit the necessity of the population influx and elevating the local economy for both provinces. These two areas are expecting to have the autonomous local economy and the complementary and competitive relationship with the nearby metropolitan councils while building the Jungwon cultural zone which is supported by the regional association.

In this paper, we developed the content management system for managing and integrating contents stored in local databases. This system converts the local database schema to XML document and makes the galobal database schema using the transmitted XML document. The contents integration and management system developed in this paper purposes the effective method for integrating and managing contents which is stored and operated in various environments.

This Study includes the information of integrated discussion and economies of scale on local governments' sewerage treatment plant through translog function based on the reality reports of sewerage treatment plant operation published by Ministry of Environment and sewerage statistics data from 2005 to 2010. Based on analysis results from the data of 35 local governments in Jeollanamdo and Jeollabukdo, which are selected as pilot project areas of sewerage facility integration by Ministry of Environment and have low percent of sewered population, it shows the existence of economies of scale. The economies of scale on sewerage treatment show the loss of approximately 22,211 thousand ton/day in sewage treatment, it is 1.7 times compared to the average treatment amount of 35 local governments as of 2010. It means the economies of scale can be achieved by lowering operation cost along with large scale integration in installation, operation and maintenance due to the features of sewerage industry as one of network industry.

Building Information Models(BIM) provides rich geometric and attribute information throughout the entire life cycle of a building and infrastructure object, while Geographic Information System(GIS) enables the detail analysis of urban issues based on the geo-spatial information in support of decision-making. The Integration of BIM and GIS data makes it possible to create a digital twin of the land in order to effectively manage smart cities. In the perspective of integrating BIM data into GIS systems, this study performs literature reviews on georeferencing techniques and identifies limitations in carrying out the georeferencing process using attribute information associated with absolute coordinates probided by Industry Foundation Classes(IFC) as a BIM standard. To address these limitations, an automated georeferencing process is proposed as a pilot study to position a IFC model with the Local Coordinate System(LCS) in GIS environments with the Reference Coordinate System(RCS). An evaluation of the proposed approach over a BIM model demonstrates that the proposed method is expected to be a great help for automatically georeferencing complex BIM models in a GIS environment, and thus provides benefits for efficient and reliable BIM and GIS integration in practice.

In distributed computing environments, there are many database applications that should share data each other such as data warehousing and data mining with autonomy on local databases. The first step to such applications is the integration of heterogeneous database schema, but there is no accepted common data model for the integration and also are difficulties on the construction of integration program. In this paper, we use the XML Schema for the representation of common data model and exploit XSLT for reducing the programming difficulties. We define the schema integration operations and develop a methodology for the semi-automatic schema integration according to schema conflicts types. Our integration method has benefits on standardization, extendibility on schema integration process comparing to existing methodologies.

This paper proposes an approach of identifying nonlinear mappings from input/output data. The approach is based on the universal approximation by the fuzzy integration of local affine mappings. A connectionist model realizing the universal approximator is suggested by using a processing unit based on both the radial basis function and the weighted sum scheme. In addition, a learning method with self-organizing capability is proposed for the identifying of nonlinear mapping relationships with the given input/output data. To show the effectiveness of our approach, the proposed model is applied to the function approximation and the prediction of Mackey-Glass chaotic time series, and the performances are compared with other approaches.

The necessity of Information integration has emphasized by advancement of internet and change of enterprise environment. In enterprises, it usually integrates the multi-database constructing by M&A. For this integration of information it must guarantee interpretation and integration which is stabilized with solving heterogeneous characteristic problem. In this paper, we propose the method that change the global XML query to local XML query for interpretation. It is based on XMDR(eXtended Meta-Data Registry) which expresses the connection between the standard and the local for solve the interoperability problem in heterogeneous environment. Thus, we propose the legacy model that can search and modify by one Query with creating global XML Query by XMDR. and for his, we use the 2PC technique which is the distributed transaction control technique of existing.
