  • A linear state equation of the first order differential form relating the load-frequency dynamic characteristics of interconnected power systems was derived for use in computer simulation. A now solution of the algebraic matrix riccati equation for application in quadratic optimal controllor and least-square state estimator dermination was developed. The program for a dynamic state equation for two interconnected control areas was developed. The optimized load-frequency deviation was analysed and a numerical analysis was tried based on the computer simulation. It was shown that the dynamic response of th loed-frequency could be optimized with weighting factors IR and Q. The result was that the load-frequency and the tie-line deviation were visibly reduced.

  • Concrete has a different fracture mechanism from the other materials, with the existing of FPZ at the ahead of its cracks, and represents the softening curves at the post-peak load in the load-displacement diagrams. So, it can transmit the stress at the post-peak load. This can not be understood with the traditional concept of strength, but with the theory based energy approach. For the purpose of this study is mainly used RILEM(1990 TC89-FMT) and TPM, and the concrete fracture properties have been evaluated according to the its compressive strength. The evaluated fracture properties is $G_{F}$, $a_{c}$, $K_{IC}$ , CTODc, Q etc.c.c.

관개기 광역논에서의 오염물질의 수지(지역환경 \circled3) (Mass Balance of Pollutants at a Paddy Field Area During Irrigation Period)

  • Concentration of pollutants and discharge were monitored regularly at paddy field area during irrigation periods. The amounts of irrigation water during irrigation water during irrigation periods in 1999 were 3690mm. The concentration of pollutants in ponded water are high during fertilizer application period. The ratio of discharge of direct runoff Q$\_$D/ to the total runoff is 9%. The ratios of the load of direct runoff L$\_$D/ to the total load L$\_$T/ are 6% for T-N, 16% for T-P and 16% for COD. It was found that the ratios of the concentration are 0.7 for T-N, 1.8 for T-P and 1.9 for COD. The unit load of T-N, T-P and COD during irrigation periods were 12.1kg/㏊, 0.42kg/㏊ and 85.7kg/㏊, respectively

  • In this paper, we proposed a new load flow analysis algorithm. In order to develop it, we converted typical power flow problem into optimal problem. This problem has the objective function that minimize the difference between calculated values and specified values of bus powers and subject to bus power equations of P and Q. Using it, we solved the divergence by singularity of Jacobian matrix, the divergence by initial value in the typical power flow study. In the study of a sample system, we verified the superiority of proposed algorithm.

Vibration analysis of steel frames with semi-rigid connections on an elastic foundation

  • An investigation on the combined effect of foundation type, foundation flexibility, axial load and PR (semi-rigid) connections on the natural frequencies of steel frames is presented. These effects were investigated using a suitable modified FE program for cases where the foundation flexibility, foundation connectivity, and semi-rigid connections could be treated as equivalent linear springs. The effect of axial load on the natural frequency of a structure was found to be significant for slender structures subjected to high axial loads. In general, if columns of medium slenderness are designed without consideration of axial load effects, the frequency of the structure will be overestimated. Studies on the 3-story Los Angeles PR SAC frame indicate that the assumption of rigid connections at beam-column and column-base interfaces, as well as the assumption of a rigid foundation, can lead to significant errors if simplified design procedures are used. These errors in an equivalent static analysis are expected to lead to even more serious problems when considering the effect of higher modes under a non-linear dynamic analysis.

  • 웹 서비스를 제공하는 분산 서버 시스템에서 각 서버의 부하 상태를 파악하여 처리해야 할 부하를 조절하여 주면 서버의 부하가 균등하게 되어 더 나은 성능을 얻을 수 있게 된다. 서버의 부하 상태는 시스템의 자원에 영향을 미치는 여러 가지 요소에 의하여 분석을 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 스트레스 테스트를 통하여 서버의 자원의 고갈을 나타내는 주요 성능 지표들을 변화 상태를 분석하였다. 고려된 성능지표로는 Available Memory 양, Page Read 수, Processor Utilization, Processor Queue Length, 네트웍으로 전달된 Transmitted Bytes, 연결된 Connection 개수이다. 실제로 이중 하나의 요소를 적용시켜서 ALBM (Adaptive Load Balancing Mechanism)을 실행을 하였을 때 일반 LVS Round Robin 보다 성능이 좋은 결과를 낳았다.

무정전전원장치의 병렬운전 제어기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Parallel Operation Control Technique of On-line UPS System)

  • The parallel operation system of UPS is used to increase reliability of power source at critical load. But parallel UPS system has a few defects, impedance is different from each other and circulating current occurs between UPSs, due to line impedance and parameter variation, though controlled by the same synchronization signal. According to such characteristic of parallel UPS, balanced load-sharing control is the most important technique in parallel UPS operation. In this paper, a novel power deviation compensation algorithm is proposed. it is composed of voltage controller to compensate power deviation that be calculated by using active and reactive current deviation between Inverters on synchronous d-q reference frame.

  • This paper proposes a balancing control of DC-link voltages of a H-bridge multilevel inverter for STATCOM application. Individual DC link voltage is controlled by simply adjusting the d-q voltage reference through a PI controller in each cell while the main controller carries out the reactive power control. The correctness and effectiveness of the method are validated by PSIM simulation with unbalanced load condition data taken from a typical arc furnace load, showing the adverse effects of load unbalance to DC link voltage significantly suppressed.

  • The cooling technology of power conversion semiconductors in the propulsion system for the HEMU(High Electrical Multi Unit) are applied in water cooling method and phase change method such as the immersed type and the heat pipe type. This research designs and manufactures the water cooling system that could cool about heat load Q=2kW and performance tests to apply it by an electric power conversion semiconductors(IGBT) cooling technology. Experimental condition made change of a flow rate, an air velocity and a heat load to confirm operation characteristics of water cooling device, and when is heat load 2kW, air velocity 20 m/s, and water flow rate 7kg/s, it is about $80^{\circ}C$ to temperature of cooling plate.

Response of dynamic interlaminar stresses in laminated plates under free vibration and thermal load

  • The response histories and distribution of dynamic interlaminar stresses in composite laminated plates under free vibration and thermal load is studied based on a thermoelastodynamic differential equations. The stacking sequence of the laminated plates may be arbitrary. The temperature change is considered as a linear function of coordinates in planes of each layer. The dynamic mode of displacements is considered as triangle series. The in-plane stresses are calculated by using geometric equations and generalized Hooke's law. The interlaminar stresses are evaluated by integrating the 3-D equations of equilibrium, and utilizing given boundary conditions and continuity conditions of stresses between layers. The response histories and distribution of interlaminar stress under thermal load are presented for various vibration modes and stacking sequence. The theoretical analyses and results are of certain significance in practical engineering application.
