The purpose of this study is to figure out the actual situation of possession and use of traditional living appliances in the rural area, so as to provide plans for preservation and succession of traditional living appliances. The data were collected from 200 households in 8 rural areas classified by geographical zone. Traditional living appliances were divided into clothing.food.housing living appliances, play tools, and the others. As a result, the degree of using the traditional living appliances is 46.5%(in respect of "often use"). The need for preserving and using the traditional living appliances in modern society was 68.5%(in respect of "a little need"). The level of preservation and use of the traditional living appliances was relatively low except for food living appliances. In conclusion, the suggested directions for developing traditional goods to preserve and succeed traditional living appliances are as follows; ${\circled1}$ Developing traditional living goods peculiar to a certain locality ${\circled2}$ Developing goods with various uses; display, ornament, living appliances, memorial, etc. ${\circled3}$ Developing goods on the process and technique of making traditional living appliances. ${\circled4}$ Providing information and education on excellance of traditional living appliances.
Recently, with the ourdoor air pollution, the indoor air pollution devided into living environment and working environment are raised as the problem of indoor space. Also, the more time lived in indoor space, the larger the influence of indoor air pollution. Therefore in this study, the spatial variation of ventilation efficiency was estimated through the experiment using a physical model. The experiment using a physical model. The experiment was conducted in two category; the central zone of ventilated air flow and the corner zone. As the result of experiment, high ventilation efficiency (90$\sim$108%) was shown in the central zone of ventilated air flow. Whereas low ventilation efficiency (46$\sim$77%) was shown in the corner zone. In conclusion, when the designing of ventilation was planned, the zone showed low ventilation efficiency should be considered.
This paper deals with pollen analysis of a 190cm core collected from the Chollipo Arboretum sedimentary basin($N36^{\circ}47$ 43", $E1269^{\circ}$ 7") in southwestern Korea in order to know the change of the climate and vegetation. In this research it is found that the pollen zones are divided into two layers. Pollen zone, I, the lower layer, is flourished with broadleaved trees such as Quercus, Alnus, Corylus, Betula, Carpinus and Castanopsis, and about 30~40% of pollen of those trees consist of that of Q. acuta/glauca and Castanopsis which are evergreen trees. And pollen of Trapa, Typhaceae and Nymphaceae living in wet habitat, is dominant among the nonarboreal pollen. Therefore we can conclude that it ould be warmer and more humid than present in this area of the past. In pollen zone, the upper layer, pollen of Pinus is dominant and those of Artemisia, Gramineae, Compositae and spore are increased in quantity, while pollen of Quercus, Belula and Nymphaceae decreased. It it supposed that the climate of this zone was drier than that zone.that zone.
This study is to clarify the actual conditions of small elementary school facilities in depopulation areas. The aim of this thesis is to present the directions for Reorganization of small school facilities. Research area was kumi and uiseong, the number of students decreased rapidly. And small elementary school facilities were surveyed. The results are as the follows; 1)After consider living zone, commuting distance, opinions of residents, it is advisable that the small size school(the number of students under 60) will be combined stronghold school. 2)In the case of relocation, first of all, should consider the characteristic of living zone, exchanging training programs between elementary schools. 3)The closed school facilities will be used consistently as public facilities with priority consideration of environmental characteristic and users' demand.

The purpose of this study is to develop furniture design for the apartment based on the market research of furniture and interior design, and the survey on the design preference of hte apartment residents. The apartment furniture in living rooms, bed rooms and kitchens are designed according to the design concepts of preference image of apartment sizes: that of mid-size apartment(34pyung type) is Natural Modern image, large-size(59pyung type) is Korean Modern image, and extra large-size(81pyung type) is Classic Modern image. The living furniture is designed smaller in order to use the space flexibly, and the built-in furniture of bed rooms is designed simply like the wall of a room to be felt larger, basically. The furniture in kitchen is composed of the storage zone by high cabinets and the display zone by open shelves.

The purpose of this research lays on examining the adequacy of the hybrid ventilation system. The hybrid ventilation system must satisfy the next to be used. Firstly, the cold-draft phenomenon must not exist in the occupied zone. Secondly, the condensation must not happen on the surfaces of vents. Thirdly, the flow of make-up air must be happened in an each space by exhausted air of a rest room and living room. We used an examination and CFD method to verify these. Trough the examination of air-vents, We confirmed that the cold-draft to be induced by make-up air does not happen and could not find the condensation in the limits of outdoor temperature higher than 265K. Through CFD simulation, We confirmed that the rapid temperature change existed only within 0.5m the occupied zone and the flow of air was happened in an each space by only exhausted air in the rest room and living room. Consequently, the hybrid system is possible method to an apartment house.
This study was conducted to investigate the community structure and distributional pattern of meiobenthos in the deep-sea bottom of the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone of northeastern Pacific during July 2001. Examination of sediment samples collected on the eight survey station showed that there were 10 different types of meiobenthos. The most abundant meiobenthic animals were nematodes in all stations. Sarcomastigophorans, benthic harpacticoids were next abundant meiobenthos. Vertical distribution of meiobenthic animals showed the highest individual numbers in the surface sediment layers of 0-1 cm depth and showed more steep decreasing trend as sediment gets deeper on the stations of high latitude located in $16-17^{\circ}N$. Horizontal distribution of meiobenthic animal in the study area within CCFZ showed high densities of meiobenthos at the stations had few manganese nodules on their sediment surface in the site of low latitude. For size distribution analyses showed that animals which fit into the sieve mesh size of 0.063 mm were abundant.

Four species of the free-living nematodes were collected from marine sediments in the sublittoral zone in the East Sea, Korea and were identified, described, and illustrated. Paranticoma tricerviseta Zhang, 2005, originally described from the Bohai Sea, China, is recorded for the first time in the East Sea, Korea; only in body length and thickness (1902-2282 ㎛ compared to 2472-3300 ㎛, 50-62 ㎛ compared to 57-82 ㎛, respectively). Specimens of Parodontophora marina Zhang, 1991, from East Sea, Korea largely agrees with the original description of Zhang (1991) of nematodes from the Bohai Sea, except for differences in body length and thickness (1190-1345 ㎛ compared to 1235-1408 ㎛, 40-44 ㎛ compared to 42-72 ㎛). Terschellingia longicaudata de Man, 1907 is reported for the first time in Korea, but was previously considered a cosmopolitan species of nematodes with a widespread distribution from the North Sea, Belgium to the Exclusive Economic Zone of New Zealand; it differs from the original description in body thickness(30-38 ㎛ vs. 40-62 ㎛). Vasostoma brevispicula Huang & Wu, 2011, originally described from the subtidal muddy sediment in the Yellow Sea, China, is newly reported in Korea; apart from a few minor morphological differences, body length and thickness (2009-2425 ㎛ vs. 2119-2906 ㎛, 41-48 ㎛ vs. 37-58 ㎛). The present study on unrecorded species improves our understanding of nematode species diversity in Korean waters.
