Little Intelligent Nanosatellite of KAIST(LINK) is a 2U-size CubeSat which is developed by Aerospace Systems & Control Lab.(ASCL) of KAIST as a part of the international cooperation project QB50. The objective of the QB50 project is to carry out atmospheric research within the lower thermosphere and ionosphere and CubeSats are planned to be deployed at the International Space Station(ISS) from the first quarter of 2017. To implement this objective, a flight model(FM) of LINK has been successfully developed and the design and performance of the satellite have been verified by performing environment and function tests in accordance with acceptance requirement level. This paper describes the development of flight model and the results of vibration and thermal vacuum test.

Recently, several studies have been carried on knowledge flow of science, technology, industry to establish STI policy. Still it is in need of studies on relationship of science-industry although there have been studied only in aspect of science-technology relationship or technology-industry relationship. This paper's purpose is to propose method to measure knowledge flow among science, technology, and industry by means of patent citation by USPTO. After gathering knowledge flow data between science and technology through mapping citing patent and cited pater, it gets knowledge flows data between technology-industry by using OTC (OECD Technology Concordance), technology-industry mapping program. Based on these knowledge flow data, it examines knowledge flow science to industry by applying overlap function that is a network link weight function.

This paper shows effects of tropospheric delay models among delay features occurred when GPS code signal is transferred for GPS Time Transfer. GPS time transfer uses CGGTTS as the international standard format. For geodetic GPS receiver, ROB has provided r2cggtts software which generates CGGTTS data from RINEX data and all laboratories participated in TAI link uses the software and send the CGGTTS results periodically. Though Saastamoinen model and Niell mapping function are commonly used in space geodesy, r2cggtts software applied NATO model and CHAO mapping function to the tropospheric delay model. Hence, this paper shows effects of two tropospheric delay models implementing Saastamoinen model and Niell mapping function for the time offset.
Driving aircraft requires extremely complicated and detailed information processing. Pilots perform their tasks by selecting the information relevant to them. In this processing, spatial information presented simultaneously through crossmodal link is advantageous over the one provided in singular sensory mode. In this paper, probability to apply providing visual spatial information along with auditory information to enemy tracking system in aircraft navigation is empirically investigated. The result shows that auditory spatial information, which is virtually created through HRTF is advantageous to visual spatial information alone in attention processing. The findings suggest auditory spatial information along with visual one can be presented through crossmodal link by utilizing stereophonic sound such as HRTF. which is available in the existing simple stereo system.
We propose a general solution methodology for identifying the optimal aggregation interval sizes as a function of the traffic dynamics and frequency of observations for four cases : i) link travel time estimation, ii) corridor/route travel time estimation, iii) link travel time forecasting. and iv) corridor/route travel time forecasting. We first develop statistical models which define Mean Square Error (MSE) for four different cases and interpret the models from a traffic flow perspective. The emphasis is on i) the tradeoff between the Precision and bias, 2) the difference between estimation and forecasting, and 3) the implication of the correlation between links on the corridor/route travel time estimation and forecasting, We then demonstrate the Proposed models to the real-world travel time data from Houston, Texas which were collected as Part of the Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) system of the Houston Transtar system. The best aggregation interval sizes for the link travel time estimation and forecasting were different and the function of the traffic dynamics. For the best aggregation interval sizes for the corridor/route travel time estimation and forecasting, the covariance between links had an important effect.

Recently, the interest in optical network with multifiber link is continuing to rise since the network traffic has been growing exponentially. However, growing traffic in network leads to increasing the energy consumption of the network equipment. In this paper, we propose a dynamic routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) algorithm based on V-like cost function and layered graph to improve energy efficiency in IP over WDM network with multifiber link. The V-like cost function is used to decide the fiber cost according to the number of used wavelengths. The layered graph with multifiber link is used to select the energy efficient route and wavelength. The proposed RWA algorithm is compared and analyzed with conventional algorithm in view of average power consumption and blocking probability through OPNET modeler.

Consider the risk score which is a function of a linear score for the classification models. The AUC optimization method can be applied to estimate the coefficients of linear score. These estimates obtained by this AUC approach method are shown to be better than the maximum likelihood estimators using logistic models under the general situation which does not fit the logistic assumptions. In this work, the VUS and HUM approach methods are suggested by extending AUC approach method for more realistic discrimination and prediction worlds. Some simulation results are obtained with both various distributions of thresholds and three kinds of link functions such as logit, complementary log-log and modified logit functions. It is found that coefficient prediction results by using the VUS and HUM approach methods for multiple categorical classification are equivalent to or better than those by using logistic models with some link functions.
For binary classification models, we consider a risk score that is a function of linear scores and estimate the coefficients of the linear scores. There are two estimation methods: one is to obtain MLEs using logistic models and the other is to estimate by maximizing AUC. AUC approach estimates are better than MLEs when using logistic models under a general situation which does not support logistic assumptions. This paper considers imbalanced data that contains a smaller number of observations in the default class than those in the non-default for credit assessment models; consequently, the AUC approach is applied to imbalanced data. Various logit link functions are used as a link function to generate imbalanced data. It is found that predicted coefficients obtained by the AUC approach are equivalent to (or better) than those from logistic models for low default probability - imbalanced data.
IoT technology that utilizes wireless body area networks (WBAN) and biosensors is an important field in the health industry to minimize resources and monitor patients. In order to integrate IoT and WBAN, a cooperative protocol that constitutes WBAN's limited sensor nodes and rapid routing for efficient data transmission is required. In this paper we propose an we propose an energy efficient and cooperative link energy-efficient routing strategy(LEERS) to solve the problems of redundant data transmission detection and limited network sensor lifetime extention. The proposed scheme considers the hop count node congestion level towards the residual energy sink and bandwidth and parameters. In addition, by determining the path cost function and providing effective multi-hop routing, it is shown that the existing method is improved in terms of residual energy and throughput
The equality relation is very important in mechanical theorem proving procedures. A proposed inference rule called RHU-resolution is intended to extend the hyperparamodulation[23, 9] by introducing a bidirectional proof search that simultaneously employs a forward reasoning and a backward reasoning, and generalize it by incorporating beneflts of extended hyper steps with a preprocessing process, that includes a subsumption check in an equality graph and a high level planning. The forward reasoning in RHU-resolution may replace the role of the function substitution link.[9] That is, RHU-deduction without the function substitution link gets a proof. In order to control explosive generation of positive equalities by the forward reasoning, we haue put some restrictions on input clauses and k-pd links, and also have included a control strategy for a positive-positive linkage, like the set-of-support concept, A linking path between two end terms can be found by simple checking of linked unifiability using the concept of a linked unification. We tried to prevent redundant resolvents from generating by preprocessing using a subsumption check in the subsumption based eauality graph(SPD-Graph)so that the search space for possible RHU-resolution may be reduced.
