  • In this paper, the eddy current flowmeter with 4-coil is designed and made on the basis of theory, and its characteristics is considered through dry test and flow experiments. The biggest output signal varied with wave wave form frequency, and 900Hz in rectangular wave, 27.12kHz in sine wave. The conductivity is bigger, the output signal is bigger and has a linearity between both relation, and also The Magnetic Reynolds Number and output characteristics The flow faster and the output signal is bigger.

  • In this paper, some parameters are studied for the performance improvement of a bulk optical magnetic-field sensor. The performance of optical magnetic-field sensor is influenced by optical intensity change and wavelength change of light source, and phase shift so called optical bias mismatch. A magnetic field measuring system based on optical Faraday sensor is implemented and tested in the current range from 10 ampere to 200 ampere. The test result shows implemented system has goof linearity.

  • This paper presents a vibration-rejection control design for a magnetic suspension system which has strong non-linearity, open-loop unstable characteristics, high-order flexible modes, and parameter variations. The target plant to be controlled consists of a U-core electromagnet and a flexible rail. We describe the test rig and formulate the mathematical model and then we set up a control problem as the mixed sensitivity problem where the augmented plant is constructed with frequency weighting functions and the feedback controller is designed by using the H$\infty$ controller. The effectiveness of the designed controller for the magnetic suspension system with high-order flexible modes is validated and justified using several simulations.   • There are lots of tunnel intervals in the KTX II stage construction line for the linearity of railway line passing mountain region. In order to use the rocks from tunnel excavations, railway subgrades are constructed with crushed rock-soil mixtures. In this study, plain strain test using large scale box was conducted in order to analyze the characteristics of deformation behavior of railway subgrades composed of crushed rock-soil mixtures. The effects of variation of degree of saturation, stress level of applied loadings, and number of loading cycles on the resilient and permanent deformation behavior were analyzed. The results show that degree of saturation have a great effect on the deformation behavior of crushed rock-soil mixtures. The axial strain ranges between $0.1{\sim}0.8%$ with variation of degree of saturation, in assumption that deviatoric stress applied on the subgrade by high-speed train load is 55kPa.

  • The present paper is devoted to constructing a numerical algorithm for solving un steady problems on generation, propagation and interaction of nonlinear waves at a surface of ideal fluid, within the framework of the potential-flow model. The numerical scheme is implicit. with non-linearity iteration at every step of time. the finite-difference method with boundary-fitted coordinates are presented in favor for validity and high efficiency of the numerical model developed. Among these arguments, there are the results of calculations of two test problems-on stretching of a liquid ellipse and on wave generation by lifting a portion of a bottom.

Organizational Commitment of Five Working Groups of MNCs

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to confirm that five different working positions show different Organizational Commitment (OC) and factors influencing OC levels in the Chinese MNCs. Design/methodology/approach - The study collected data of 326 employees in different positions in Chinese MNCs abroad and in domestic country. To test hypotheses, ANOVA analysis and linearity regression are used with SPSS 26 and AMOS 26 software on the collected data. Findings - Results shows that different working groups do not show significant difference of AC and CC level. However, there are significant difference of NC among the five groups in the Chinese MNCs. Employee's position and marital status are positively related to CC and NC. Tenure is positively related to AC. Research implications or Originality - Our research offers insight for further research direction on OC difference research. It provides implication for Chinese MNCs to consider more about strategies how to stimulate host country employee's normative commitment.

  • Rapid screening for internal contamination by alpha- and beta-emitting radionuclides is essential in situations involving radiation workers or radiation accidents. This study focused on the use of urine samples and liquid scintillation counting to quickly and accurately assess contamination. Calibration of the alpha and beta detection areas ensured precise measurement results. The major radionuclides recommended for surveillance during accidents were also considered. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the method by examining various parameters, including the limit of detection, linearity, sensitivity, selectivity, accuracy, ruggedness, and blind test sample analysis. The liquid scintillation counting method is an effective tool for screening urinary samples to detect alpha- and beta-emitting radionuclides, particularly during radiation emergencies, despite some limitations in precision.

  • This study developed a buoyancy-based level sensor composed of a buoyant object, a sensing unit, and a signal generation unit to meet the demand of low-cost, high-efficiency inundation-detection sensors. The volume of the submerged buoyant object remained nearly constant even in the presence of water-level fluctuations, allowing stable water-level data acquisition. The measurement resolution and measurement repeatability were confirmed to be within 0.4 mm and 0.3%, respectively. LoRa-based communication was used to implement the IoT-based inundation-detection sensor. The measurement deviation between the sensors is approximately 0.15%. The unresponsive level at which measurement was not possible was confirmed to be approximately 2 mm. Excluding this unresponsive range, the water level measurements exhibited very high linearity, allowing precise measurements. Furthermore, a test bed was established in an inundation-vulnerable area using buoyancy-based level sensors.

  • MIRIS (Multipurpose Infra-Red Imaging System) is the first Korean Infrared Space Telescope developed by KASI (Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute), and is the main payload of STSAT-3 (Science and Technology Satellite-3). The FM (fight model) of MIRIS has been recently completed, and various performance tests have been made to measure system parameters such as readout noise, system gain, linearity, and dark current. Final thermal-vacumm test of the MIRIS and the vibration test of the electronics box have been performed. Band response tests showed good agreement with the initial design requirements. No significant dark difference was measured within the expected temperature variation range during observation in orbit. Using Pa-alpha band from a uniform source, the readout noise and system gain were measured by mean variance test. To obtain uniform flat image, flat fielding tests were made for each band, and the data will be compared to that obtained in orbit for calibration. The final version of MIRIS FM will be delivered in March, and it will be integrated into the satellite system for the AIT (Assembly Integration, Test) procedure. The launch of MIRIS is expected in November 2012.

Influence of Osmolality of Complete Semen Extender on Motion Characteristics of Frozen-thawed Ram Spermatozoa

  • The present study was conducted to observe the effect of osmolality of glycerolated TEST-yolk glycerol extenders on post-thawing sperm kinematics of ram spermatozoa of the native Malpura breed maintained in a semi-arid tropical environment. Good quality semen obtained from adult rams was pooled, split and diluted to 1,000 million spermatozoa per ml in complete TEST-yolk-glycerol extenders of 900, 1,200, 1,500 and 1,800 mOsm/kg osmolality. Diluted semen samples were loaded in 0.25 ml straws and cooled down to $-125^{\circ}C$ freezing temperature at the rate of $-25^{\circ}C$ per minute under controlled conditions before plunging into liquid nitrogen for storage. The thawing of straws was performed at $50^{\circ}C$ in a water bath for 10 seconds and sperm kinematics of the frozen-thawed spermatozoa were assessed by a computer-assisted sperm analysis technique. Osmolality of diluent had no significant effect on post-thawing % motility, % rapid, % medium and % slow moving frozen-thawed spermatozoa but significantly (p< 0.05) affected the % linearity and % straightness. The post-thawing % motility and % rapid motile spermatozoa were highest in samples extended in diluent of 1,500 mOsm/kg osmolality and lowest in 900 mOsm/kg. The curvilinear velocity of spermatozoa was significantly (p<0.05) higher for samples extended in 1,800 mOsm/kg, compared to those in 900 and 1,200 mOsm/kg, but the effect was not significantly different to those extended in diluent of 1,500 mOsm/kg osmolality. The study indicated that ram spermatozoa could tolerate a wide osmolality range for dilution in the complete TEST-yolk-glycerol extender for their cryosurvival. The highest recovery of motile spermatozoa following thawing was achieved in samples extended in the TEST-yolk-glycerol diluent of 1,500 mOsm/kg osmolality.
