On the basis of the meaning and general process of geometric proof through transformation concept and understanding the geometric properties of linear transformation, this study showed that the centroid of geometrical figure and certain properties of a parabola and an ellipse in school mathematics can be explained as a conservative properties through linear transformation. From an educational perspective, this is a good example of showing the process of how several existing individual knowledge can be reorganized by a mathematical concept. Considering the fact that mathematical usefulness of linear transformation can be revealed through an invariable and conservation concept, further discussion is necessary on whether the linear transformation map included in the former curriculum have missed its point.
In this paper feedback linearization of valve-controlled nonlinear hydraulic velocity control system is studied. The $C^{\infty}$ nonlinear transformation T is obtained, and it is shown that this transformation is global one. Linear equivalence of nonlinear hydraulic velocity control system is obtained by this global nonlinear transformation, and linear state feedback control law is applied to this linear model. It is shown that this transformation method is to the linear approximation by simulation study..
The aim of this research is comparing the existing approximation models (e.g. Affine Transformation and Direct Linear Transformation) with Rational Function Model as a substitute of rigorous sensor model of linear array scanner, especially push-broom sensor. To do so, this research investigates the mathematical model of each approximation method. This is followed by the assessments of accuracy of transformation from object space to image space by using simulated data generated by collinearity equations which incorporate or depict the physical aspects of linear array sensor.
Linear transformation theory has been effectively used in the design and analysis of prestressed concrete structures. The underlying assumptions of the theory, which were often overlooked, are investigated in the respect of equivalent load method. As a result, it is found that the same equivalent loading system is produced for all the cases of the linear transformation by the assumptions of the conventional equivalent load method. On the other hand, equivalent loading systems in a strict and accurate sense do not satisfy the classical theories of the linear transformation. Also, it is shown that a little different equivalent loading system from the conventional one is obtained for each linear transformation according to the proposed equivalent load method that is derived from the self-equilibrium property of the tendon-induced forces. Therefore, it can be concluded that the linear transformation theory is valid only when referring to the conventional approximate equivalent load method. The discussions are further extended to the eccentrically located circumferential tendon in the wall of containment structures, where the problem of eccentricity is analyzed also from the view point of the linear transformation.

The feature vectors which are used in conventional speaker recognition (SR) systems may have many correlations between their neighbors. To improve the performance of the SR, many researchers adopted linear transformation method like principal component analysis (PCA). In general, the linear transformation of the feature vectors is based on concatenated form of the static features and their dynamic features. However, the linear transformation which based on both the static features and their dynamic features is more complex than that based on the static features alone due to the high order of the features. To overcome these problems, we propose an efficient method that applies linear transformation and temporal information of the features to reduce complexity and improve the performance in speaker verification (SV). The proposed method first performs a linear transformation by PCA coefficients. The delta parameters for temporal information are then obtained from the transformed features. The proposed method only requires 1/4 in the size of the covariance matrix compared with adding the static and their dynamic features for PCA coefficients. Also, the delta parameters are extracted from the linearly transformed features after the reduction of dimension in the static features. Compared with the PCA and conventional methods in terms of equal error rate (EER) in SV, the proposed method shows better performance while requiring less storage space and complexity.
This paper is to raise several questions in teaching the Graph and Linear Transformation complied with the Mathematics Amended Curriculum announced in 2006 Aug. and then to formulate a plan accordingly. For this, we'll take a good look at the prior studies on the Graph and Linear Transformation after the announcement of the 7th School Curriculum along with the changes in their contents through the process of curriculum. Then we'll check over learning factors of the Graph and Linear Transformation in all 27 kinds of the authorized textbooks - 'Mathematics I', 'Applications of Mathematics', and 'Geometry and Vectors' - and 27 kinds of exercise books issued on 2009. By this, we put measures which improve understanding and apply correctly to the Graph and Linear Transformation in the Mathematics Amended Curriculum to high school teachers.
The world we live in is called the age of information. Thus communication and computers are doing the central role in it. When one studies the mathematical problem, the use of tools such as computers, calculators and technology is available for all students, and then students are actively engaged in reasoning, communicating, problem solving, and making connections with mathematics, between mathematics and other disciplines. The use of technology extends to include computer algebra systems, spreadsheets, dynamic geometry software and the Internet and help active learning of students by analyzing data and realizing mathematical models visually. In this paper, we explain concepts of transformation, linear transformation, congruence transformation and homothety, and introduce interesting, meaningful and visual models for teaching of a plane transformation geomeoy which are obtained by using Mathematica. Moreover, this study will show how to visualize linear transformation for student's better understanding in teaching a plane transformation geometry in classroom. New development of these kinds of teaching-learning methods can simulate student's curiosity about mathematics and their interest. Therefore these models will give teachers the active teaching and also give students the successful loaming for obtaining the concept of linear transformation.

In this paper, an experiment was done where the input device used the linear multiple regression and the sRGB color space to perform a color transformation. The output device used the GOG, GOGO and sRGB for the color transformation. After the input device underwent a color transformation, a $3\;{\times}\;20\;size$ matrix was used in a linear multiple regression and the scanner's color representation of scanner was better than a digital still camera's color representation. When using the sRGB color space, the original copy and the output copy had a color difference of 11. Therefore it was more efficient to use the linear multiple regression method than using the sRGB color space. After the input device underwent a color transformation, the additivity of the LCD monitor's R, G and B signal value improved and therefore the error in the linear formula transformation decreased. From this change, the LCD monitor with the GOG model applied to the color transformation became better than LCD monitors with other models applied to the color transformation. Also, the color difference varied more than 11 from the original target in CRT and LCD monitors when a sRGB color transformation was done in restricted conditions.
When teaching the linear regression analysis in the class, the power transformation must be introduced to fit the linear regression model for nonlinear data. Box and Cox (1964) proposed the attractive power transformation technique which is so called Box-Cox transformation. In this paper, an effective algorithm selecting an appropriate value for Box-Cox transformation is developed which is considered to find a value minimizing error sum of squares. When the proposed algorithm is used to find a value for transformation, the number of iterations needs to be considered. Thus, the number of iterations is examined through simulation study. Since SAS is one of most widely used packages and does not provide the procedure that performs iterative Box-Cox transformation, a SAS program automatically choosing the value for transformation is developed. Hence, the students could learn how the Box-Cox transformation works, moreover, researchers can use this for analysis of data.

In this paper, the authors introduce new classes of p-valent functions defined by Dziok-Srivastava linear operator and the multiplier transformation and study their properties by using certain first order differential subordination and superordination. Also certain inclusion relations are established and an integral transform is discussed.
