Genetically Optimized Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks Based on Fuzzy Set (퍼지집합 기반 진화론적 최적 퍼지다항식 뉴럴네트워크)

  • In this study, we propose a fuzzy polynomial neural networks (FPNN) and a genetically optimized fuzzy polynomial neural networks(GoFPNN) for identification of non-linear system. GoFPNN architecture is designed by a FPNN based on fuzzy set and its structure and parameters are optimized by genetic algorithms. A fuzzy neural networks(FNN) based on fuzzy set divide into two structures that is simplified inference structure and linear inference structure. The proposed FPNN is resulted from integration and extension of simplified and linear inference structure of FNN. The consequence structure of the FPNN consist of polynomials represented by networks using connection weights for rules. The networks comprehend simplified(Type 0), linear (Type 1), and quadratic(Type 3) inferences. The proposed FPNN can select polynomial type of consequence part for each rule. Therefore, proposed scheme can offer flexible structure design capability for a system characteristics. Moreover, GAs is applied to networks structure and parameters tuning of proposed FPNN, and its efficient application method is discussed, these subjects are result in GoFPNN that is optimal FPNN. To evaluate proposed model performance, a numerical experiment is carried out.

  • In this paper, the optimization of fuzzy inference systems is proposed for fuzzy model of nonlinear systems. A fuzzy model needs to be identified and optimized by means of the definite and systematic methods, because a fuzzy model is primarily acquired by expert's experience. The proposed rule-based fuzzy model implements system structure and parameter identification using the HCM(Hard C-mean) clustering method, genetic algorithms and fuzzy inference method. Two types of inference methods of a fuzzy model are the simplified inference and linear inference. in this paper, nonlinear systems are expressed using the identification of structure such as input variables and the division of fuzzy input subspaces, and the identification of parameters of a fuzzy model. To identify premise parameters of fuzzy model, the genetic algorithms is used and the standard least square method with the gaussian elimination method is utilized for the identification of optimum consequence parameters of fuzzy model. Also, the performance index with weighting factor is proposed to achieve a balance between the performance results of fuzzy model produced for the training and testing data set, and it leads to enhance approximation and predictive performance of fuzzy system. Time series data for gas furnace and sewage treatment process are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed model.

  • Control of Industrial processes is very difficult due to nonlinear dynamics, effect of disturbances and modeling errors. M.Morari proposed Internal Model Control(IMC) system that can be effectively applied to the systems with model uncertainties and time delays. The advantage of IMC systems is their robustness with respect to a model mismatch and disturbances. But it was difficult to apply for nonlinear systems. Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System which contains multiple linear models as consequent part is used to model nonlinear systems. Generally, the linear parameters in neuro-fuzzy inference system can be effectively utilized to identify a nonlinear dynamical systems. In this paper, we propose new IMC design method using adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system for nonlinear plant. Numerical simulation results show that proposed IMC design method has good performance than classical PID controller.

  • In this paper, we are proposed optimization method of fuzzy model in order to complex and nonlinear system. In the fuzzy modeling, a premise identification is very important to describe the charateristics of a given unknown system. Then, the proposed fuzzy model implements system structure and parameter identification, using the fuzzy inference method and genetic algorithms. Inference method for fuzzy model presented in our paper include the simplified inference and linear inference. Time series data for gas furance and sewage treatment process are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed model. Also, the performance index with weighted value is proposed to achieve a balance between the results of performance for the training and testing data.

First, the fuzzy I+PD controller is derived from the conventional continuous time linear I+PD controller. Then the fuzzification, control-rule base, and defuzzification using SIIM in the design of the fuzzy controller are discussed in detail. The resulting controller is a discrete time fuzzy version of the conventional I+PD controller. which has the same linear structure. but are nonlinear functions of the input signals. The proposed controller enhances the self-tuning control capability. Particularly when the process to be controlled is nonlinear When the SIIM is applied, the fuzzy inference results can be calculated with splitting fuzzy variables into each action component and are determined as the functional form of corresponding variables. So the proposed method has the capability of the high speed inference and adapting with increasing the number of the fuzzy input variables easily. Computer simulation results have demonstrated the superior to the control performance of the one Proposed by D. Misir et at.

  • In this paper, we proposed the Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) model with fuzzy activation node. The proposed FPNN structure is generated from the mutual combination of PNN(Polynomial Neural Networks) structure and fuzzy inference system. The premise of fuzzy inference rules defines by triangular and gaussian type membership function. The fuzzy inference method uses simplified and regression polynomial inference method which is based on the consequence of fuzzy rule expressed with a polynomial such as linear, quadratic and modified quadratic equation are used. The structure of FPNN is not fixed like in conventional Neural Networks and can be generated. The design procedure to obtain an optimal model structure utilizing FPNN algorithm is shown in each stage. Gas furnace time series data used to evaluate the performance of our proposed model.

  • In this paper, we introduce a fuzzy inference systems for nonlinear inference using fuzzy cluster. Typically, the generation of fuzzy rules for nonlinear inference causes the problem that the number of fuzzy rules increases exponentially if the input vectors increase. To handle this problem, the fuzzy rules of fuzzy model are designed by dividing the input vector space in the scatter form using fuzzy clustering algorithm which expresses fuzzy cluster. From this method, complex nonlinear process can be modeled. The premise part of the fuzzy rules is determined by means of FCM clustering algorithm with fuzzy clusters. The consequence part of the fuzzy rules have four kinds of polynomial functions and the coefficient parameters of each rule are estimated by using the standard least-squares method. And we use the data widely used in nonlinear process for the performance and the nonlinear characteristics of the nonlinear process. Experimental results show that the non-linear inference is possible.

  • This paper deals with design method of learning fuzzy controller for control of an unknown nonlinear plant using the self-tuning algorithm of fuzzy inference rules. In this method the fuzzy identification model obtained that the joined identification model of nonlinear part and linear identification model of linear part by fuzzy inference systems. This fuzzy identification model ordered self-tuning by Decent method so as to be servile to nonlinear plant. A the end, designed learning fuzzy controller of fuzzy identification model have learning structure to model reference adaptive system. The simulation results show that th suggested identification and learning control schemes are practically feasible and effective.
