The influences of the load resistance $R_L$ on the magnetoelectric (ME) characteristics of $NiZnFe_2O_4+PZT$ composite were investigated in the non-resonance frequency range. The ME coefficient peak increases with increasing $R_L$, but the frequency indicating the ME coefficient peak decreases with increasing $R_L$. The maximum output power peak is approximately $9.3{\times}10^{-10}mW/Oe$ near $R_L=3.3M{\Omega}$ at f=280 Hz, and the ME coefficient seems to be saturated at $R_L>20M{\Omega}$. This frequency shift effect of $R_L$ shows that the frequency range for an ME sensor application can be modulated with the appropriate value of $R_L$. The ME output voltage has a good linear response to the ac field Hac and shows fair stability over a range of temperatures. The measured non-linearity of this sample is approximately 0.8%. This sample will allow for a low-strength magnetic ac-field sensor. The result from this sample will serve as basic data for a signal-processing circuit system.
Traditional three-dimensional (3-D) laser imaging systems are based on real aperture imaging technology, whose resolution decreases as the range increases. In this paper, we develop a novel 3-D imaging technique based on the synthetic aperture technology in which the imaging resolution is significantly improved and does not degrade with the increase of the range. We consider an imaging laser radar (ladar) system using the floodlight transmitting mode and multi-beam receiving mode. High 3-D imaging resolutions are achieved by matched filtering the linear frequency modulated (LFM) signals respectively in range, synthetic aperture along-track, and the real aperture across-track. In this paper, a novel 3-D imaging signal model is given first. Because of the motion during the transmission of a sweep, the Doppler shift induced by the continuous motion is taken into account. And then, a proper algorithm for the 3-D imaging geometry is given. Finally, simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

RFID technologies, which allow collecting, storing, processing, and tracking information by wirelessly recognizing the inherent ID of object through an attached electronic tag, have a variety of application areas. This paper presents a novel carrier leakage suppression RF(CLS-RF) front-end for ultra-high-frequency RF identification reader. The proposed reader CLS-RF front-end structure generates the carrier leakage replica through the nonlinear path that contains limiter. The limiting function only preserves the frequency and phase information of the leakage signal and rejects the amplitude modulated tag signal in the envelope. The carrier leakage replica is then injected into the linear path that contains phase shifter. Therefore, the carrier leakage signal is effectively cancelled out, while not affecting the gain of the desired tag backscattering signal. We experimentally confirm that the prototype shows a significant improvement in the leakage to signal ratio by up to 36 dB in 910 MHz, which is consistent with our simulation results.

In this paper, a photonic-based microwave system technology is described, and a traveling-wave electro-optic modulator is designed and manufactured as a key component. The fabricated modulator is composed of a metal diffusion waveguide for optical transmission and a planar waveguide electrode on lithium niobate substrate for microwave transmission. The electro-optic response bandwidth of I and Q channels in a fabricated dual parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator were measured for 27.67 and 28.11 GHz, respectively. Photonic four times up-converted X-band frequency and linear frequency modulated signal were confirmed using the fabricated electro-optic modulator by S-band input signal. The confirmed broadband signal can be applied to a microwave system for surveillance and high-resolution ISAR imaging.
This study attempts to test the classifying performance of a neural network and thereby examine its applicability to the signals distorted in a shallow water environment. Linear frequency modulated(LFM) signals are simulated by using an acoustic model and also measured through sea experiment. The network is constructed to have three layers and trained on both data sets. To get normalized power spectra as feature vectors, the study considers the three transforms : shot-time Fourier transform (STFT), wavelet transform (WT) and pseudo Wigner-Ville distribution (PWVD). After trained on the simulated signals over water depth, the network gives over 95% performance with the signal to noise ratio (SNR) being up to-10 dB. Among the transforms, the PWVD presents the best performance particularly in a highly noisy condition. The network performs worse with the summer sound speed profile than with the winter profile. It is also expected to present much different performance by the variation of bottom property. When the network is trained on the measured signals, it gives a little better results than that trained on the simulated data. In conclusion, the simulated signals are successfully applied to training a network, and the trained network performs well in classifying the signals distorted by a surrounding environment and corrupted by noise.

In this paper, we proposed the new class-E frequency multiplier design that include the highest efficient characteristics. The proposed frequency multiplier is designed for 5.8[GHz] output using the frequency multiplier about 2.9[GHz] input signal. And studying in this paper is for the design and the implementation of the class E frequency multiplier. For the result, the maximum highest efficient characteristics 32[%] which is with output power 24.5[dBm] and 8.5[dB], is shown with frequency multiplier for the 2.9/5.8[GHz] class E. And we applied the linear method to the implemented class E frequency multiplier. As a result, the output spectrum for the linear is upgrade to 12[dB], 12[dB], 13[dB] of the ACPR characteristics on the +11[MHz], +20[MHz], +30[MHz] offset frequency in the center frequency. The result is satisfied with the 3.83[%] of the lineared EVM for the 64-QAM modulated method with the 54[Mbps] transmission velocity. In this paper, we show that the good compensation result of the linearity and the efficiency through the digital pre-linear method of the distortion with the frequency multiplier. Therefore, we suggested the frequency multiplier method are applying to WLAN, cellular, PCS, WCDMA, and etc.
In this paper, we propose an algorithm to improve target detection rate degradation due to direct blast in a bi-static sonar systems with high duty cycle using an adaptive filters. It is very important to suppress the direct blast in the aforementioned sonar systems because it has a fatal effect on the actual system operation. In this paper, the performance was evaluated by applying the Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS) and Recursive Least Square (RLS) algorithms to the simulation and sea experimental data. The beam signals of the target and direct blast bearings were used as the input and desired signals, respectively. By optimizing the difference between the two signals, the direct blast is removed and only the target signal is remained. As a result of evaluating the results of the matched filter in the simulation, it was confirmed that the direct blast was removed to the noise level in both Linear Frequency Modultated (LFM) and Generalized Sinusoidal Frequency Modulated (GSFM), and in the case of GSFM, the target sidelobe decreased by more than 20 dB, thereby improving performance. In the sea experiment, it was confirmed that the LFM reduced the level of the transmitted direct wave by 10 dB, the GSFM reduced the level of the transmitted direct wave by about 4 dB, and the side lobe of the target decreased by about 4 dB, thereby improving the performance.

In mobile channel environments, the effect of the multi-path fading reduces the performance of the mobile communication severely. Previous studies on the effect of the multi-path fading show that, only the channel between fixed base stations and mobile terminals are considered. However, the future mobile communication service such as telematics may use the communication between moving mobile terminals, so called mobile ad-hoc communication, the studies on the channel is required for such situations. In this paper we have measured the mobile channel and analyzed the fading characteristics when using the linear array antennas. In the data measurements, we sent the QPSK modulated signal with carrier frequency of 2GHz band and received the signal using the array antennas equipped on moving vehicles. We have analyzed the fading characteristics and the effects of the fading reduction using the CDF of fading depth using data collected from two moving vehicles. The simulation results show that the beamforming technique adds 6 or 7dB to the fading margin than that of the selection diversity depending on channel environments.
High-frequency bistatic sea surface scattering channels according to sea state were measured at an experimental site of Geoje bay in April 2020, and compared with predictions based on scattering theory. A linear frequency-modulated signal with a center frequency of 128 kHz and a bandwidth of 32 kHz was used for the acoustic measurements. Sea surface wavenumber spectrum was calculated from surface roughness data measured by a wave buoy, and bistatic scattering cross-section of Small Slope Approximation (SSA) based on the wavenumber spectrum was estimated. In addition, scattering from near-surface bubbles using wind speed measured during experiments was considered. Surface scattering channel intensity impulse responses were simulated using the scattering cross-section and the simulation results were compared and analyzed with the field data.
In active sonar system, aspect angle and length of a target can be estimated by calculating the cross-correlation between left and right split-beams of a LFM(Linear Frequency Modulated) signal. However, high-resolution performances in bearing and range are required to estimate the information of a remote target. Because a certain higher sampling frequency than the Nyquist sampling frequency is required in this performance, an over-sampling process through interpolation method should be required. However, real-time implementation of split-beam processing with over-sampled split-beam outputs on a COTS(commercial off-the-shelf) DSP platform limits its performance because of given throughput and memory capacity. This paper proposes a cumulative processing algorithm for split-beam processing to solve the problems. The performance of the proposed method was verified through some simulation tests. Also, the proposed method was implemented as a real-time system using an ADSP-TS101.
