  • In this paper, we propose the linear interpolation-based BD (Block Diagonalization) precoding approximation algorithm for low complexity in downlink multiuser MIMO-OFDM (Multiple-input Multiple-output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems. In the case of applying the general BD precoding algorithm to multiuser MIMO-OFDM systems, the computational complexity increases in proportional to the number of subcarriers. The proposed interpolation-based BD precoding approximation algorithm can be achieved similar SER performance with general BD algorithm and can decrease the computational complexity. It is proved that proposed algorithm can achieve the significantly decreased computational complexity by computer simulation.

  • Aeroelastic characteristics of a deployable missile control fin have been investigated. A deployable missile control fin is modeled by a 2-dimensional typical section. Supersonic Doublet-Point method is used for the computation of supersonic unsteady aerodynamic forces and Karpel's Minimum-State approximation is used for the aerodynamic approximation. Root-locus method and time-integration method are used for the linear and nonlinear flutter analyses. For the nonlinear flutter analysis the deployable hinge is represented by a asymmetric bilinear spring and is linearized by using the describing function method. From the flutter analyses, the effects of nonlinear parameters on the aeroelastic characteristics are investigated.

  • Based on second-order Stokes wave and parabolic approximation, a refraction-diffraction model for linear and nonlinear waves is developed. With the assumption that the water depth is slowly varying, the model equation describes the forward scattered wavefield. The parabolic approximation equations account for the combined effects of refraction and diffraction, while the influences of bottom friction, current and wind have been neglected. The model is tested against laboratory experiments for the case of submerged circular shoal, when both refraction and diffraction are equally significant. Based on Boussinesq equations, the parabolic approximation eq. is applied to the propagation of shallow water waves. In the case without currents, the forward diffraction of Cnoidal waves by a straight breakwater is studied numerically. The formation of stem waves along the breakwater and the relation between the stem waves and the incident wave characteristics are discussed. Numerical experiments are carried out using different bottom slopes and different angles of incidence.

  • This paper is devoted to the non linear quasi-steady aerodynamic loading. A linear approximation is often used to compute the response of structures to buffeting forces. Some researchers have however shown that it is possible to account for the non linearity of this loading. This non linearity can come (i) from the squared velocity or (ii) from the shape of the aerodynamic coefficients (as functions of the wind angle of attack). In this paper, it is shown that this second origin can have significant implications on the design of the structure, particularly when the non linearity of the aerodynamic coefficient is important or when the transverse turbulence is important.

  • This paper is concerned with the applicability of the chi-square approximation to the six disparity statistics: the Pearson chi-square, the generalized likelihood ratio, the power divergence, the blended weight chi-square, the blended weight Hellinger distance, and the negative exponential disparity statistic. Three dimensional contingency tables of small and moderate sample sizes are generated to be fitted to all possible hierarchical log-linear models: the completely independent model, the conditionally independent model, the partial association models, and the model with one variable independent of the other two. For models with direct solutions of expected cell counts, point estimates and confidence intervals of the 90 and 95 percentage points of six statistics are explored. For model without direct solutions, the empirical significant levels and the empirical powers of six statistics to test the significance of the three factor interaction are computed and compared.

  • The disturbance attenuation problem for a class of discretetime switched linear systems with exponential uncertainties via switched state feedback and switched dynamic output feedback is investigated, respectively. By using Taylor series approximation and convex polytope technique, exponentially uncertain discrete-time switched linear system is transformed into an equivalent switched polytopic model with additive norm bounded uncertainty. For such equivalent switched model, one designs its switching strategy and associated state feedback controllers and dynamic output feedback controllers so that whole switched model is asymptotical stabilization with H-in nity disturbance attenuation base on switched Lyapunov function and LMI approach. Finally, two numerical examples are presented to illustrate our results.

  • In this paper, the current distribution on a 6 points fed linear antenna is theoretically introduced. The antenna that we call the 6 points fed linear antenna is an antenna which are fed by emf E1 at the first two points, emf E2 at the second two points, and emf E3 at the third two points. symmetrical with respect to the center. In this analysis, Hallens theory has been extended with the approximation in the same order.

  • In this paper we consider a heat flow in an inhomogeneous. body without internal source. There exists special initial and boundary conditions in this system and we intend to find a convenient coefficient of heat conduction for this body so that body cool off as much as possible after definite time. We consider this problem in a general form as an optimal control problem which coefficient of heat conduction is optimal function. Then we replace this problem by another in which we seek to minimize a linear form over a subset of the product of two measures space defined by linear equalities. Then we construct an approximately optimal control.

  • Typical application of detecting piecewise-linear curves includes vectorizing of scanned drawings whirh is a vital step in installing any geographic information system. This paper considers the problem of optimally approximating a piecewise linear curve to a set of digital points while satisfying given intersection angles between each pair of neighboring lines. The criterion for optimality is to minimize the sum of squared deviations. The problem is formulated as an unconstrained nonlinear programming model. An algorithm which guarantees an optimal solution is then proposed and its validity is tested with both a synthetically generated image and a real image. The test results illustrate the excellent performance of the proposed algorithm.

  • This paper proposes the stereo LVFC-Robot which Imitates eyes and arms of man. we derived linear approximation equation between visual space and joint space by minimum square method and then applied it to the proposed stereo LVFC-Robot. As a result of a simulation, its efficency is verified. Compared with the stereo VFC, the stereo LVFC Robot don't need the Image Jacobian and the Robot Jacobian. Thus it is possible to control Robot in real time.
