  • We discuss in this paper the strong convergence for weighted sums of negative associated (in abbreviation: NA) arrays. Meanwhile, the central limit theorem for weighted sums of NA variables and linear process based on NA variables is also considered. As corollary, we get the results on iid of Li et al. ([10]) in NA setting.

  • We consider a nonlinear autoregressive moving average model with nonlinear GARCH errors, and find sufficient conditions for the existence of a strictly stationary solution of three related time series equations. We also consider a geometric ergodicity and functional central limit theorem for a nonlinear autoregressive model with nonlinear ARCH errors. The given model includes broad classes of nonlinear models. New results are obtained, and known results are shown to emerge as special cases.

  • In this paper we investigate scaling limits for associated random measures satisfying some moment conditions. No stationarity is required. Our results imply an improvement of a central limit theorem of Cox and Grimmett to associated random measure and an extension to the nonstationary case of scaling limits of Burton and Waymire. Also we prove an invariance principle for associated random measures which is an extension of the Birkel's invariance principle for associated process.

  • A chi-squared test of multivariate normality is suggested which is mainly focused on detecting deviations from elliptical symmetry. This test uses Mahalanobis distances of observations to have some power for deviations from multivariate normality. We derive the limiting distribution of the test statistic by a conditional limit theorem. A simulation study is conducted to study the accuracy of the limiting distribution in finite samples. Finally, we compare the power of our method with those of other popular tests of multivariate normality under two non-normal distributions.

  • An eventual uniform equicontinuity condition is investigated in the context of the uniform central limit theorem (UCLT) for continuous martingales. We assume the usual intergrability condition on metric entropy. We establish an exponential inequality for a martingales. Then we use the chaining lemma of Pollard (1984) to prove an eventual uniform equicontinuity which is a sufficient condition of UCLT. We apply the result to approximate a stochastic integral with respect to a martingale to that of a Brownian motion.

  • We consider the markov process ${X_n}$ on R which is genereated by $X_{n+1} = f(X_n) + \epsilon_{n+1}$. Sufficient conditions for irreducibility and geometric ergodicity are obtained for such Markov processes. In additions, when ${X_n}$ is geometrically ergodic, the functional central limit theorem is proved for every bounded functions on R.

  • Let $X_t = (X_t^(1), X_t^(2))', t \geqslant 0$, be a real stationary 2-dimensional Gaussian process with $EX_t^(1) = EX_t^(2) = 0$ and $$ EX_0 X'_t = (_{\rho(t) r(t)}^{r(t) \rho(t)}), $$ where $r(t) \sim $\mid$t$\mid$^-\alpha, 0 < \alpha < 1/2, \rho(t) = o(r(t)) as t \to \infty, r(0) = 1, and \rho(0) = \rho (0 \leqslant \rho < 1)$. For $t > 0, u > 0, and \upsilon > 0, let L_t (u, \upsilon)$ be the time spent by $X_s, 0 \leqslant s \leqslant t$, above the level $(u, \upsilon)$.
