Based on the proven feasibility of bottom ash and tire shred-soil mixtures as lightweight fill materials, tire shred-bottom ash mixtures were suggested as a new lightweight fill material to replace the conventional construction material (soil) with bottom ash. Therefore, we carried out the field compaction test and performance test of large scale embankment in order to evaluate their suitability for the use of lightweight fill materials. In these tests, we could assess the settlement, earth pressure, stress-strain relation, vibration of large scale embankment which were made with tire shred-bottom ash mixture and the conventional fill material(weathered soil) respectively. The earthpressure and vibration transmission was decreased and the settlement behaviour of the 2 materials (tire shred mixture and weathered soil) was measured similarly under static/cyclic loading condition.

In this study, small scaled (1/30) laboratory chamber tests of the pile foundation for a lightweight concrete pavement system were carried out to evaluate the safety of a pile foundation on sandy soil. The testing ground was simulated in the field and a standard pile-loading test was conducted. The test piles were divided into 3 types, Cases A, B and C, which is the location from the center of the slab by applying a vertical load. The interval between the piles was set to 8 cm. As a result of the pile foundation model test, the pavement settled when the vertical load was increased to 12kg from 1.5kg in sandy soil ground, particularly the maximum settlement of 0.04mm. Judging from the model chamber test, Case A showed compressive deformation, whereas Case B represented the compression and tensile forces with increasing vertical load. Case C showed an increase in tensile strain.

In this study, the lightweight design of a brake bracket for a composite bogie was studied by considering two brake bracket models with thicknesses of 12t and 9t, respectively. For achieving this goal, finite element analysis and topology optimization were conducted. Firstly, the largest cross-sectional areas of the vertical and horizontal plates of the brake bracket were selected as the design variables. As the constraint, the Z-axis displacement of the brake bracket was increased by 2.5 units from the initial displacement value. The minimum volume fraction of the design regions was chosen as the objective function. The full model comprised a composite bogie frame and brackets attached together. However, to reduce the analysis time, 1D beam elements were used instead of the composite bogie frame by ensuring its equivalence with the full model. The result revealed that the weights of the 12t and 9t models of the brake bracket were reduced to 60 kg and 31 kg, respectively.

This paper aims to obtain the effect of lightweight on Radius rod. The response surface method used in the paper is the statistical method. Optimization method is performed with the Radius rod using the lightweight material. Structural analysis is executed by using the ANSYS program to find static and dynamic responses. From this study result, it is verified that the response surface method has the advantage of optimum value in comparison with other optimization methods. The analysis is also performed by response surface method to derive optimal design values. Steel model and aluminium initial model are obtained by finite element analysis to clarify design criteria and the results are compared with three models each other. The weights can be reduced by optimal design analysis results of these models similar to those of existing products. The quantitative goals in this study can also attained through results of fatigue analyses. The reliability on optimal design of Radius rod can be improved by use of structural and fatigue analysis results.

In general, Korean Lightweight Concrete used Heat insulating material for building and filler for civil construction, backfill material for tunnel, office floor fillers, lightweight blocks and so on. These expand the range of use ALC(autoclaved lightweight concrete) on the soft-ground at regular intervals during road construction by installing piles used as substrates for the process is under study. In this study, behavior characteristics on the soft-ground of pavement analysis was used to test the geo-Centrifuge. Prototype pavement reduced to 1/30 slab form of the composition as kaolinite model tests were conducted in the soft ground. Pile Arrangement (having 36 component pile with an array of $3{\times}12$) was used to group of piles. Tests of gravity 30 level the centrifugal force acting Light-weight pavement models. Based on the Prototype pavement of the behavior characteristics of pavement behavior characteristics were estimated. FMA analysis of the 10 times as big 39.4kg (actual load 35 ton) of the lateral load is applied to the case 7.8mm (actual behavior 23.4mm) behavior was fine.

In this paper, we propose a framework which supports the simple development cycle based on Distributed System using IPO(Input-Process-Output) model. In our proposed framework, once a single class with Input, Process and Output functions is developed, it can be executed like a single application in both presentation layer and middle layer of a distributed system. Our proposed Framework removes dependency on distributed system and makes development cycle decreased from Develop-Build-Deploy-Test cycle to Develop-Test cycle when application programs is developed. The verification of productivity and performance is performed by comparing our Framework with distributed system or lightweight Framework. The results show high productivity due to the considerable amount of reduction in lines of source code and reduction in dependency on distributed system, and show stabler performance than lightweight framework.
In this study, micro cellular injection molding of automobile head lamp housing with uneven thickness structure was performed to obtain improvement on deformation and light-weight of the part. The thickness of the presented model was uniformly modified to control the deformation of the molded part. In order to maximize the lightweight ratio, the model having an average thickness of 2.0 mm were thinly molded to an average thickness of 1.6 mm. GFM(Gas Free Molding) and CBM(Core Back Molding) technology were applied to improve the problems of the conventional foam molding method. Equal Heat & Cool system was also applied by 3D cooling core and individual flow control system. Warpage of the molded parts with even cooling was minimized. To improve the mechanical properties of foamed products, complex resin containing nano-filler was used and variation of mechanical properties was evaluated. It was shown that the weight reduction ratio of products with light-weighted injection molding was 8.9 % and the deformation of the products was improved from the maximum of 3.6 mm to 2.0 mm by applying Equal Heat & Cool mold cooling system. Also the mechanical strength reduction of foamed product was less than 12% at maximum.
This study was conducted to optimize a mixing design of lightweight aerated concrete with the blast furnace slag(BFS) using Box-Behnken method, one of response surface designs. The lightweight aerated concrete with the BFS was made on the conditions of steam curing method at atmospheric pressure. The experimental factors were unit Water(W)/total powder($P_d$) ratio, BFS replacement percentage and Al powder addition based on the total powder (${P_d}^*$%). From the results of the response surface analysis, regression models for dried specific gravity and compressive strength of the lightweight aerated concrete were derived. When the target values for dried specific gravity and compressive strength of the lightweight aerated concrete were set at 0.72 and 4.42 MPa respectively, its optimized mixing conditions driven from the regression models were 0.62 of $W/P_d$ ratio, 35.5% of BFS replacement and 0.05% of Al powder addition. This experimental design model was found to be credible by measuring the dried specific gravity and compressive strength of the sample made from the above mixing conditions.
The current study prepared 9 laboratorial concrete mixes and 3 ready-mixed concrete batches to examine the size and shape effects in compression failure of lightweight aggregate concrete (LWC). The concrete mixes were classified into three groups: normal-weight, all-lightweight and sand-lightweight concrete groups. For each concrete mix, the aspect ratio of circular or square specimens was 1.0 and 2.0. The lateral dimension of specimens varied between 50 and 150 mm for each laboratorial concrete mix, whereas it ranged from 50 to 400 mm with an incremental variation of 50 mm for each ready-mixed concrete batch. Test observations revealed that the crack propagation and width of the localized failure zone developed in lightweight concrete specimens were considerably different than those of normal-weight concrete (NWC). In LWC specimens, the cracks mainly passed through the coarse aggregate particles and the crack distribution performance was very poor. As a result, a stronger size effect was developed in LWC than in NWC. Especially, this trend was more notable in specimens with aspect ratio of 2.0 than in specimens with that of 1.0. The prediction model derived by Kim et al. overestimated the size effect of LWC when lateral dimension of specimen is above 150 mm. On the other hand, the modification factors specified in ASTM and CEB-FIP provisions, which are used to compensate for the shape effect of specimen on compressive strength, were still conservative in LWC.

Ubiquitous Sensor Network(USN) is the very core of a technology for the Ubiquitous environments. There is the weakness from various security attacks such that tapping of sensor informations, flowing of abnormal packets, data modification and Denial of Service(DoS) etc. And it's required counterplan with them. Especially it's restricted by the capacity of battery and computing. By reasons of theses. positively, USN security technology needs the lightweighted design for the low electric energy and the minimum computing. In this paper, we propose lightweight USN mutual authentication methology based on trust model to solve above problems. The proposed authentication model can minimize the measure of computing because it authenticates the sensor nodes based on trust information represented by subjective logic model. So it can economize battery consumption and resultingly increse the lifetime of sensor nodes.
