  • Light Rail Transit is system that offer target Performance and function because various sub-system such as vehicles, power supply, signaling, communication, mechanical, track, civil is consisted as large complex system. Light Rail Transit and the complex system of safety, reliability to be a behavior, and target performance and function properly to system's configuration, design, manufacture, installation and test verification, through operations system requirements to accurately describe what It is more important. With this study, light rail system KSX ISO/IEC 15288 system life cycle process by applying engineering techniques utilizing light rail system in the early stages of construction from the concept, design, production, operation, maintenance and end-use to the disposal stage throughout the entire life cycle, from the beginning of construction until the end of construction of the stakeholder to define requirements, analyze the introduction of the system developers and system requirement of those who wish to be described accurately by selecting the best system and system requirement in order to achieve their purpose.

  • The status and effectiveness of Bi-modal Tram is analyzed through the comparison of the transport effectiveness and operation cost between the public transportation systems (bus, light rail transit) considering the vehicle and operation characteristic of new transit system Bi-modal Tram. The standard operation schedule is established in consideration of the vehicle specification and operation characteristic of main public transportation modes, and then the annual average operation cost is estimated depending on the volume, speed, analysis length for respective public transportation mode. Through analyzing the operation cost and distribution characteristic of public transportation modes depending on the transport volume and travel speed, the operational efficiency suitable for the city is derived. It is concluded that the operational efficiency of Bi-modal Tram is superior to that of the bus and light rail transit on the aspect of travel volume and operation speed.

Bandwidth-Efficient Precoding Scheme with Flicker Mitigation for OFDM-Based Visible Light Communications

  • Recently, orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) was applied to VLC systems owing to its high rate capability. On the other hand, a real-valued unipolar OFDM signal for VLC significantly reduces bandwidth efficiency. For practical implementation, channel estimation is required for data demodulation, which causes a further decrease in spectral efficiency. In addition, the large fluctuation of an OFDM signal results in poor illumination quality, such as chromaticity changes. This paper proposes a spectrally efficient method based on a hidden-pilot-aided precoding technology for VLC with less flickering than a conventional OFDM-based method. This approach can obtain channel information without any loss of bandwidth efficiency while ensuring illumination quality by reducing the flickering effect of an OFDM-based VLC. The simulation results show that the proposed method provides a 6.4% gain in bandwidth efficiency with a 4% reduction in flicker compared to a conventional OFDM-based method.

경량전철 국산화의 경제적 파급효과 (The Spill-over Effects of Domestic Production of Light Rail Transit)

  • 본고는 국산화의 경제적 파급효과에 대한 이론적 설명을 제시하고, 국산개발에 성공한 한국형 경량전철 도입이 생산, 부가가치, 취업 등 경제전반에 미치는 영향을 실증분석 한다. 파급효과는 수입차 대신 한국형 경량전철을 적용하는 경우에 발생하는 순파급효과(순이득)와 국산차든 수입차든 경량전철을 건설해 운영할 때 발생하는 총파급효과를 구별하여 추정한다. 분석모형은 산업 간 전후방 연관효과를 반영할 수 있도록 산업연관분석을 적용한다. 추정결과, 경량전철 국산화는 수입대체와 무역수지 개선, 생산 부가가치 취업 유발 등 막대한 순이득을 초래하며, 건설비, 시스템공사비, 차량구입비, 운영비, 관세운송비 등의 비용절감 효과도 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다.

  • Study of Lunar exploration is progressed and manned lunar exploration is planned. In order to explore in Lunar, we need habitat to stay for a long time and system that mine, classify and transport materials. Lunar has dust that is very light-tiny. That is on the air for a long time so there are problems to adject transportation system such as vehicle. However, it can solve the problem to use pipe transportation system. This transportation system help materials move continually and is more effective than other transportation system such as train or vehicle. For those positive points, some experts studied about tube transportation systems. I introduce these system and find out factors that can be used in Lunar regolith transportation system. I suggest Lunar regolith transportation system, using the factors.

도시철도차량 운영 및 발주관련 프로그램의 RIMS 적용 (A Study on Application of RIMS for City Rail-road Management and Ordering Programs.)

  • The Seoul-Metro is the first city railroad corporation to operate RIMS(Rolling-stock Information Maintenance System). The development of "RIMS Project" and trial running task were started from Mar 29, 2001. Finally, this project was completed successfully on Dec 31, 2005, as integrated systems including light or heavy maintenance works in Ji-Chuk and Chang-Dong Rolling-stock Offices. After that, from 2006 to Dec 31, 2007, we promoted a this new program to other four rolling-stock offices (Su-Seo, Gun-Ja, Sin-Jeong) and the headquarter. For the duration of trial running, we developed and applied new complementary program having made up for the weak points or defects. The series of new program which were newly developed and applied are comprised of an operation management, trouble management, wheel management, heavy maintenance table automatic creation programs and ordering prediction programs to purchase goods smoothly. The Seoul-Metro have registered these programs(RIMS) to Computer Program Protection Committee. We'd like to introduce a composition of program for enhancement of a city railroad Information Systems.

경전철 역사를 대체하는 정류장 도입을 위해 필요한 설계지침의 도출 및 적용 사례에 관한 연구 (On the Study of Design Guidelines and a Design Case to Enable the Replacement of LRT Stations by Stops)

  • 중단거리 수송을 위한 도시철도의 수요 증대에 부응하기 위해, 건설비 및 운영비 등의 절감을 실현할 수 있는 경전철 시스템의 도입이 국내에서 본격화되고 있다. 비록 경전철 시스템이 관련 규정에 근거하여 설계 및 시공, 그리고 운용되고 있지만, 일부 과다한 기준 및 사양을 맞추기 위해서 건설 및 운용 등에 초과 비용이 투입되는 것에 대한 문제점이 제기되고 있다. 게다가 경전철 역사의 경우 사용자의 동선이 불필요하게 길어져 시민들과 교통약자의 불편을 초래할 수 있다는 점이 지적되고 있어 경전철 역사의 슬림화가 필요한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 하나의 방안으로 경전철 역사 대신에 버스정류장 개념에 해당하는 '경전철 정류장' 개념의 도입을 위해 필요한 설계지침에 대해 연구하였다. 구체적으로 정류장 개념 도입을 뒷받침하기 위한 설계 기본방향 및 지침을 수정/보완하여 도출하였다. 또한 이를 상세설계에 적용시키는 사례 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구결과의 활용을 통하여 경전철의 건설 및 운영 비용의 절감, 시민들의 경전철 이용편의 증진 등의 결과로 교통복지를 강화할 수 있는 기회가 될 것이다.

TPS를 이용한 한국형 고무차륜경량전철(K-AGT)의 성능특성 분석 (Train Performance Characteristics of Korean Rubber-Tired AGT System by TPS)

  • In this work, the characteristics of train performance of Korean rubber-tired AGT system(K-AGT) are evaluated by using TPS(Train Performance Simulation) and these results are compared to those of other LRT(Light Rail Transit) systems. The performance characteristics of K-AGT was analyzed by comparing the scheduled speed and the energy consumption in case of station interval change and rail track condition change in, the scheduled construction line. In the scheduled construction line, scheduled speed of K-AGT was no difference with other systems and energy consumption was less than other LRT's. In case station intervals are increased, scheduled speed of K-AGT shows similar increasing rate and in curved and graded track conditions K-AGT has no difference in scheduled speed with other systems. As a simulation result by track condition change, when the track which is smaller than curved line of 250m dominates more than $50\%$ in whole track, K-AGT is similar to other systems to the point of scheduled speed and there is advantage in energy consumption.

  • High speed Train Systems are the energy supplied system via the pantograph through which the voltage and the current supplied by the catenary wire flow. The arc discharges generate owing to the contact loss between the catenary and the pantograph, and the electromagnetic fields radiate. There are many different phenomena between the static charges and the moving charges in view of the radiated electromagnetic fields. To calculate the electromagnetic filed about the moving charges, it is necessary to adapt Lorentz transformation. Actually, the particle which moves near the speed of light has the relativisitic phenomena. In addition, it is necessary to predict the electromagnetic field because the radiated electromagnetic field takes effect on the near electronic devices and the human beings. In this paper, we model the arc discharge into the dipole antenna model, adapt Lorentz transformation to the case that the electric railway cars move, and calculate the radiated electromagnetic field. By the calculation, we take the basis upon the electromagnetic prediction, and apply to the future research.

  • 바퀴와 BLDC전동기 일체형으로 구성되는 Hub Wheel 전동기는 감속기가 없는 직접 구동방식으로서 저소음 고효율의 운전이 가능하여 경전철의 구동부로 활용이 가능하다. 하지만 Hub Wheel 전동기는 속도계측을 위한 센서의 장착이 용이하지 않다. 전동기의 원활한 속도 제어를 위해서는 별도의 속도 계측을 위한 방법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서 입력이 적극 반영된 간단한 수학적 시스템 모델을 가지고 이산 칼만 필터를 사용하여 전동기 속도를 추정하고 이를 이용하여 속도제어를 하는 방법을 제시한다.
