고무차륜 경량전철의 구조강도 해석 연구 (Structural analysis of Rubber Tired AGT)

  • In this study, the carbody design of the rubber tired AGT(Automated Guide-way Transit System) under development by KRRI was numerically analysed to evaluate its structural strength according to the standard specifications for Korean LRT (Light Rail Transit). The numerical results showed that the detail design of the carbody was strong enough to satisfy the specifications with respect to the axial compression strength, the vertical strength and the vertical stiffness(natural frequency). However, the carbody design had some problems on the fatigue strength by twist loadings. So, it was recommended that the carbody design should be modified to improve the twisting strength by reinforcing the front end structures.

  • This is an interior design for a furniture & lighting design exhibition. The concept of design is to secure the smooth flow planning of an audience and effective direction of an exhibit Design content include 1) installation(passage of light) to guide an audience from entrance to right side of the exhibition space to prohibit the flow dispersion and keep smooth continual circulation flow plan 2)image-wall to introduce exhibition 3)installation to help the global understanding of exhibit 4)exhibition stand design considering proper height of audience's eye.

  • The LGP(Light Guide Panel) for the back light unit that is used to the 2.2" TFT LCD was designed and fabricated. The method of the pattern design which is the most important in the design of the LGP was converted the V-cutting method into the Dot method. This newly developed Dot method provided a good uniformity in the brightness at the LGP, which was a very difficult problem to solove in the V-cutting method. The experiment result of the newly designed LGP shows the brightness uniformity 90% and the brightness 3656 $cd/\;m^2$ which is 20% higher than the commercial products.

  • As the demand of large and high-resolution display panels is increased, the black light units (BLU) of the display devices play an important roles. In this study we'll deal with various defects of BLUs. Patterns of defects can be classified by the scratches, the non-uniform misprinting for the diffused reflection, the surface stains, spots and etc. Due to these distorted patterns the high-resolution and high-precision could be impeded. We'll propose the visual inspection system to detect various defects by pattern-matching.

  • BLU(back light unit) is one of kernel parts of LCD(liquid crystal display) unit. New 3-D micro-lens pattern for LGP(light guide plate), one of the most important parts of LCD-BLU, had been researched. Instead of dot pattern made by chemical etching or laser ablation, SCS(slanted curved surface) micro-lens pattern was designed with optical CAE simulation. This study introduce the method of design using optical CAE simulation for SCS micro-lens, the new fabrication method of micro-mold with SCS micro-lens pattern.

LED 열화데이터의 신뢰성 분석 (Reliability Analysis of Degradation Data for LEDs)

  • LEDs have rapidly replaced old light devices such as incandescent or fluorescent lamps, and have been widely applied in general lighting, signals, automobile, signs and others. Since LEDs are for both indoor and outdoor use, temperature and humidity inevitably affect its reliability. We explain the result of the degradation life test on LEDs, and guide to reliability analysis procedure. Analysis on reliability measures are performed by Weibull++6 program, and a common shape parameter of Weibull distribution on the LED is suggested. Also, we make a description of reliability analysis procedures for the degradation data using collected test data from degradation tests. Reliability analysis procedures are consisted of estimating degradation models and failure time, verifying of distribution and parameters of the distribution, and estimating of reliability measures. Finally, this paper suggests reliability analysis method for light characteristics on LEDs.

  • The target reliability values are defined for the train, signaling, rail track and electric power supply system of the LRT under development. The allocation of the reliability value is based on the failure rate and the failure type in the Korean subways. The reliability allocation in the train system is the made ore detail than others. The purpose of the allocation is to verify the reliability value of the results from each of the development stage, which could be the designing, manufacturing and purchasing work. The reliability of braking system, traction system, door system and other control system could be verified by establishing reliability models of these system. It could also enable us to estimate and analyse the reliability value and redo the work if necessary to achieve the shooting reliability value. A guide to the LRT reliability criteria is to be prepared after running test on the test track.

  • The UV nanoimprint technology uses the UV light as the energy source. Because the imprint process is carried out in room temperature and low pressure, this technology has its own merits compared to the thermal nanoimprint. However, in UV nanoimprint technology, a resin which has low viscosity is essential for the improvement of accuracy. In this research, a resin (named as IMS01) which has relatively low viscosity was developed. And a measurement system was developed in order to measure the degree of cure of the resin. The measurement system which is composed of FT-IR, UV light source and optical guide can measure the degree of cure in real time. From the experimental results, it was found that the IMS01 is cured more rapidly than existing resin (PAK01).

  • We proposed the laminate thin film asymmetric Extruded-closed-polygon diffusion pattern that was able to improve the performance of back light unit. Developed a pattern of brightness and bright line, half-power angle attribute the improved performance in the uniform, and through the formation of a thin film stackable diffusion layer 970% improved perpendicularity brightness, and 580% improved horizontality brightness.

  • LCD (liquid crystal display) industry is needed to goods of high reliability and is interested in products without harmful material. In this experiment, we made the LED backlight unit for Automotive-navigation. And for making this backlight unit we used to eight side emitting type white LEDs with 1 W high power of the lumileds company. We could know that this backlight unit releases to 6500 nit in 14 W power consumption and start up voltage time is under the 15ms in the ambient temperature $-20\;^{\circ}C$.
