These studies are carried out to improve silk availability for anticrease by useing methacrylate monomer polymerization method with in silk fiber. For this purpose, degree of anticrease, stiffness and shrinkage of various silk fabrics, included finish or not, after repeat of washings and polyster fabric was compared as standard. The adopted samples are ; 1. Polyester, Georgette, Woven density…90cm-85g/m 2. Silk, Twill, Degumed, Light, Woven density…90cm-90g/m 3. Silk, Twill, Degumed, Heavy, Woven density…90cm-200g/m 4. Silk, Stain, Degumed, Light, Woven density…90cm-90g/m The reached results are as followings. 1. The results of improving on anticrease by the finished method were about ten per cent increase against their original samples. 2. The light density silks showed satisfactory improve for anticrease, but the heavy one remained as rather poor condition. 3. The results for degree of textile stiffness were investigated to make sure reserve their textile feeling and observed to be good condition upon the finish work. 4. Textile shrinkage after the repeat of soap wash was investigated on indivisual test sample and silk fabrics showed more shrinkage than polyester which it seemed to be tentering shrinkage druning their general finishing processes. 5. The investigation showed that anticrease, stiffness and shrinkage of the sample textile were more or less deteriorated regardless silk or polyester by the repeat of washings. These matters are considered that such results were obtained because of the fiber fatigue nature. 6. The report reached that silk textiles should be used by dry cleaning methed after finish of any resin finish to reserve their improved anticrease nature.

The performance of a set of low-cost optical components used for measuring the optical density of PM particles was evaluated in the present study. To this end, the set of low-cost optical components was replaced with that of general optical components used to measure the PM optical density under identical experimental conditions. The optical densities measured from the set of general optical components were then compared to those obtained from the set of low-cost optical components. While the optical density is measured, another key parameter, the dimensionless extinction constant of PM particles (which is needed to optically measure the PM concentration) was also determined in the present study. The experimental results indicate that the optical density and PM concentration measurements performed by low-cost optical components are feasible, producing trackable variations in the OD and concentrations compared to values obtained from the set of general optical components.
The authors observed histochemical and ultrastructural characters on the osphradium of Rapana venosa Valenciennes using light microscope, scanning and transmission electron microscpes. The results were as follows:1)The basic structure of osphradium was bipectinated shape, which consisted of a septum situating in the center of osphradium and numerous osphradial leaflets. On the other hand, Epidermis of ospradial leaflets formed the structure of pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium which was composed of an epithelial cell layer, a basal cel layer and a neuropile. 2) Ciliated dpithelial cells:A large number of these cells were observed on the lateral and ventral regions but a small number of them were observed on the dorsal region. These cells had cylindrical microvilli, slender mitochondria and serve fibers.3) Supporting cells: These cells had cylindrical microvilli, spongy layer, electron dense granules, mitochondria and nerve fibers4) Four types secretory epothelial cells: Four distinct types of secretory epithelial cells were recognized and were arbitrily designated as Type I, Type II, Type III and Type IV.cell type I: These cells contained electron denwe granules(diameter, 0.94-1.56${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$), well developed Golgi apparatus and rough endoplasmic reticula, cell type II: These cills contained two types of granules of the different electron density. One was high electron density granules which were 0.4-1.0${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in diameter, The other was low electron density granules which were 0.75-1.2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in diameter.cell type III:These cells had fibrous secretory materials and exhibited strongly positive reaction with Toluidine blue.cell type IV:A large number of this type of cells were observed on the ventral region of ospgradial leaflets and positively reacted with periodic acid Schiff reagent. 5)Dark cells contained several electron dense cillaty rootlets and unmerous granules but cellular organelles were not observed.6) Four types basal cells: Four distinci types of basal cells were recognized and arbitrarily designated as Type I, Type II, Type III and Type IV.Cell type I(light cell): These cells exhibited low electuon density and contained short smooth endoplasmic reticula, several vacuoles and granules.
he photoconductive gain mechanism in amorphus silicon devices was investigated in connection with applications to radiation detection. Various device types such as p-i-n, n-i-n and i-i-p-i-n structures were fabricated and tested. Photoconductive gain was measured in two time scales : one for short pulses of visible light(<$1{\mu}sec$) which simulate the transit of energetic charged particles or ${\gamma}$-rays, and the other for rather long pulses of light(1msec) which simulate x-ray exposure in medical imaging, We used two definitions of phtoconductive gain : current gain and charge gain which is an integration of the current gain. We obtained typical charge gains of 3~9 for short pulses and a few hundreds for long pulses at a dark current density level of 10mA/$cm^2$. Various gain results are discussed in terms of the device structure, applied bias and dark current density.

In this study, we fabricated two standard and inverted quantum dot light emitting diodes (QLEDs) using $TiO_2$ nanoparticles (NPs) with lower electron mobility than ZnO NPs as inorganic electron transport layer to suppress electron injection into the emitting layer. Current density was much higher for the inverted QLEDs than the standard ones. The inverted QLEDs were brighter, but showed low current efficiency due to the high current density. In addition, as the current density was higher, the driving voltage was higher, and the red shift was confirmed in the emission wavelength spectrum. The low current density in the standard structured devices showed that the possibility that $TiO_2$ NPs could suppress the electron injection in the QLEDs.
To fabricate all-solution-processed flexible Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs), we demonstrated a bonding technology using a polyethyleneimine (PEI) as an adhesion layer between the two substrates. As the adhesion layer requires not only a high adhesion strength, but also a high current density, we have tried to find out the optimum condition which meets the two requirements at the same time by changing experimental factors such as PEI concentration, thickness of the layer and by mixing some additives into the PEI. The adhesion strength and the electrical current density were investigated by tensile tests and electron only device (EOD) experiments, respectively. The results showed that at higher PEI concentration the adhesion strength showed higher value, but the electrical current through the PEI layer decreased rapidly due to the increased PEI layer thickness. We added Sorbitol and PolyEthyleneGlycohol (PEG) into the 0.1 wt% PEI solution to enhance the adhesion and electrical properties. With the addition of the 0.5 wt% PEG into the 0.1 wt% PEI solution, the device showed an electrical current density of 900 mA/cm2 and a good adhesion characteristic also. These data demonstrated the possibility of fabricating all-solution-processed OLEDs using two-substrate bonding technology with the PEI layer as an adhesion layer.
Purpose : The size and regular array of the collagen fibers in the corneal stroma have very close correlation with transparency. Simulation was carried out to investigate the change of light transmittance according to the array structure and collagen fiber layer thickness. Methods : The collagen fibers in corneal stroma were arranged in regular hexagonal, hexagonal, square and random shapes with OptiFDTD simulation software, and the light transmittance was analyzed. In square array, the light transmittance according to the density change was confirmed by when the number of collagen fibers in the simulation space was the same and the light transmittance was examined when the number and density of collagen fibers were changed. Results : When the number of collagen fibers is the same, the density becomes smaller and the thickness of the fibrous layer becomes thicker in order of arrangement of square, regular hexagonal, random and hexagonal. As a result of measuring the light transmittance by changing the array structure, the light transmittance measured at the detector at the same position was almost similar regardless of the array structure. In the detectors D0, D1, D2 and D3, the maximum transmittance is shown in square, hexagonal and square, regular hexagonal and regular hexagonal array structure, and the minimum transmittance is hexagonal, random, hexagonal and square, and square array structure. However, the difference between the maximum transmittance and the minimum transmittance was almost the same within 1%. When the number of collagen fibers was the same, the light transmittance of the rectangular array structure decreased with increasing fiber layer thickness. And as the thickness increased, the light transmittance decreased more when the number of collagen fibers decreased. Conclusion : Even though the collagen array structure changed, the light transmittance is almost similar regardless of the arrangement structure. However, as the array structure was changed, the thickness of the collagen fiber layer changed, and as the thickness increased, the light transmittance decreased. In other words, the transparency of the corneal stroma is more closely related to the thickness of the fibrous layer than the array of collagen fibers.

This study was aimed to promote evergreen ferns native to Korea as a material for interior landscape by investigate effects of light quality on the growth of Cyrtomium falcatum and Rumohra aristata, in an indoor environment that artificial light was used, especially. Result of experiments are as follows; 1. Wavelengths were measured as control(=570~580nm), red(=600~610nm), yellow(=550~580nm), green(=500~510nm) and blue(=430~440nm) between different color film. The order of photon flux density was red>yellow>control>green>blue decreased. 2. Although there was no difference in the growth of Cyrtomium falcatum depending on light quality, in case of fronds with sori and new fronds, there were highest under red film. Fresh weight was no significant in all treatments, but dry weight was increased with green>control>yellow>blue>red in order. 3. In case of Rumohra aristata, there was no difference in its growth, however, number of total fronds was highest under green film. Although fresh weight was increased with yellow film, dry weight was highest under green film.
The effect of light scattering layers (400 nm, TiO$_2$ particle) of 4 $\mu$m thickness on the dye-sensitized solar cell has been investigated with a 12 $\mu$m thickness of photo-anode (20 nm, TiO$_2$ particle). Two different structures of scattering layers (separated and back) were applied to investigate the light transmitting behaviors and solar cell properties. The light transmittance and cell efficiency significantly improved with inserting scattering layers. The back scattering layer structure had more effective transmitting behavior, but separated scattering layer (center: 2 $\mu$m, back: 2 $\mu$m) structure (9.83% of efficiency) showing higher efficiency (0.6%), short circuit current density (0.26 mA/cm$^2$) and fill factor (0.02). The inserting separating two scattering layers improved the light harvesting, and relatively thin back scattering layer (2 $\mu$m of thickness) minimized interruption of ion diffusion in liquid electrolyte.

The current study proposes a simple monodimensional model to estimate the linear growth rate of photosynthetic microorganisms in flat-plate photobioreactors (FPPBRs) during batch cultivation. As a model microorganism, Chlorella kessleri was cultivated photoautotrophically in FPPBRs using light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as the light sources to provide unidirectional irradiation in the photobioreactors. Various conditions were simulated by adjusting both the intensity of the light and the height of the culture. The validity of the proposed model was examined by comparing the linear growth rates measured with the predicted ones obtained from the proposed model. Accordingly, the value of $\frac{K\cdot\mu m}{\alpha\cdot L}log(I_0\cdot{I_s}^{\varepsilon 1)\cdot {I_c}^{-\varepsilon})$ was proposed as an approximate index for strategies to obtain the maximal lightn yield under light-limiting conditions for high-density algal cultures and as a control parameter to improve the photosynthetic productivity and efficiency.
