  • Problems and current situation of public health globally and domestically were analyzed in this study and based on these findings, ways to improve from western medicine and Oriental medicine can be deduced as follows: 1. Current problems of public health in Korea and the world 1) Increase of diseases resulted from daily habits and infectious diseases, many are at the brink of being ill. Quality of life from extended life span and unbalanced health care must be solved. 2) Natural and societal factors including host factors, public health service, and other external and internal factors play an important role in deciding healthy and being ill. 3) Some of the limits and problems of modem medicine include insufficient academic knowledge and incomplete theory, as well as misled approach to the treatment. Human itself isn't perfect organism and other realistic problems hinder one's well-being. 4) Regardless of western medicine or Oriental medicine, patients were approached as someone with diseases and disorders, and wholistic approach was disregarded. Lack of clinical training, absence of clear educational philosophy and goal are some of the reasons why the education isn't under concrete system 2. Important factors for the medical education and proper direction for the education of Oriental medicine 1) Important factors for medical education - Education should not be limited on the human health and illness, but also cover qualities such as well-being, social welfare, service, and happiness. Every aspects of human life must be considered and attended for more productive outcome. - Basic understanding of humanity must be included in the educational curriculum - Foundation of human diseases and pain are associated with inner life and surrounding causes including family, society, nature, race, culture, religion, politics, and etc., thus the education must be approached to recognize aforementioned criteria. 2) Proper direction for the education of Oriental medicine - Values of Oriental medicine for medical principles and importance of lifehood must be educated. - Educational goal, limits, and levels must be established for the school of Oriental medicine - Respect for life must be the top priorities of educational direction which should lead to solution based education for the human health. Latest medical theory and technology should be accommodated as well as prevention, treatment, and balancing of basic courses and clinical training for optimal education.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze typologic methods in the Family Studies. For this goal, we reviewed literatures related to social research methodology, and analyzed articles in the Family Studies part on the basis of themes and typologic methods. The major resets can be summarized as follow: Typology methods used to clarify complex and subtle family phenomena and distinguish redundant interaction in everyday life. Especially, they can show family system type, communication mode style, leisure activity type, life altitude type, and personality traits type. Typology was made by the methods as follow: the insight, crossing the two single question, intersecting scale's mean or middle point, cluster analysis, and factor analysis. Typology is useful method in the Family Studies, but the accuracy standard needs in the future studies.

  • This paper presents a study on product design optimization to reduce the environmental impact of machining. The objective is to analyze the effect of changing the product design parameters such as its dimensions, and basic features on the environmental impact of machining process in terms of its energy consumption, waste produced and the chemicals and other consumables used up during the process. To realize this objective, we used a CAD model of a product with different design scenarios, and analyze their energy consumption using an environmental impact calculator method developed. The waste produced, and the consumables used up, such as lubricants and coolants were analyzed using environmental emission factors. Optimization methods using Genetic Algorithm and Goal Programming are applied to the product design parameters in order to get the best possible product dimensions with the least environmental impact of the machining process.

  • Colleges and Universities are one of our whole life educational facilities for the disabled regarding job training opportunities are academic goal achievement. However it is usual for the disabled students to be deprived of their opportunities to study and to prepare their future life on campus because of physical obstacles of campus environment. Therefore this study provides what are the physical obstacles on campus, how to use the college's facilities for the disabled to achieve their academic goals and the have job training opportunities just like ordinar students, and how improve the campus environment which is based on concept Universal Design

  • The goal of this paper is to introduce two methods to determine a model for the accelerated factor equation for pneumatic cylinder according to the Black equation shape. The loads consist of working pressure and temperature and we adjust these two parameters to reduce the test time but keeping the true behavior of deterioration. The first part will introduce a method using accelerated factor coming from experimental results to determine the coefficient of the Black equation by the method of the least square theory. The second part will introduce another method based on various conditions of test with the assumption that the effect of temperature and the effect of pressure on the life of pneumatic cylinder are independent. In these two cases, the results are the unknown coefficients of the Black equation.

  • Many countries concentrated on the space developments to enhance the national security and the people's quality of life. A space launch vehicle for accessing the space is a typical large complex system that is composed of the high-technology like high-performance, high-reliability, superhigh-pressure, etc. The project developing large complex system like space launcher is mostly conducted in the uncertain environment. To achieve a goal of the project, its success probability should be enhanced consistently by reducing its uncertainty during the life cycle: it's possible to reduce the project's uncertainty by performing the risk management (RM) that is a method for identifying and tracing potential risk factors in order to eliminate the risks of the project. In this paper, we introduce the risk management (RM) process applied for a Space Launch Vehicle R&D Project.

  • This study explored a sandplay therapy case of a woman maturing through conflicts with an adolescent son. The goal of the therapy was to relieve her from conflicts with going through individuation process under a free and protected space in sandplay therapy. Forty-six therapy sessions were held. The client exhibited that she needed a conversation with her feminity and maternity in the initial phase of therapy (1-5, regression). In the intermediate phase of therapy (6-43, struggle), she displayed the scenes of meeting of opposites, shadow, death, nurturing and integration of opposites. In the final phase of therapy (44-46, transformation), she showed the acception of her life with leaving her situations to God. Through sandplay therapy in the free and protected space, this study showed the effectiveness of sandplay therapy since the client achieved individuation by showing the acceptance of her life and could control her enraged feelings.

Thirdly, they had a tendency to agree equal partnership in couple relationship. Fourthly, virtual community in cyber-space was found, but the loyalty of members was not enough strong. Fifthly, in the family/kin rites, it was showed non-traditional tendency. And in all aspects, some differences were found between men and women. The findings of the present study suggest that the couple relationship in the information society becomes more important, and there is a tend to increase acceptability to increase. In contrast, there is stiff another discrimination in cyber-space by focusing on traditional mother route.
