The National Library of Korea establishes an Act on Legal Deposit and Use for the Online Digital Products in 2007 and it is preparing an enforcement. The purpose of this study is to suggest rate base on legal deposit of digital products before enforcement of this bill. To reach the goal, this study reviewed the legal deposit acts on digital products in the world. Also the opinion of main stakeholders in this area was collected such as digital book publishers and music copyright association. In conclusion, this study proposed rate base of reimbursement for legal deposit of digital products.

This study aims to find out the characteristics and the type classification of contemporary public libraries in terms of browsing circuit. In so doing, it is to analyze 21 recently built libraries by using the browsing circuit, the spatial depth and the spatial layout. The study makes use of codes derived from the concept of 'Classification' and 'Frame' suggested by a pedagogist, Basil Bernstein. As a result, it shows that two codes are phased in overseas cases. In other words, one type is a lower depth of space and a high rate of rings with the multi-layer circuits and the three-dimensional circuit of multi-centered. the other type is the higher depth of space and a low rate of rings with the single-layer circuit and the multi-layer circuit of single-centered. In domestic cases, 4 types are shown. The characteristics of layout are seen as a radial shape and the rate of rings is lower than the overseas cases. It can be said that these results are a transitional phenomenon. For browsing circuit, domestic public libraries would be adapted to the three-dimensional circuit of multi-centered, a lower depth of space and a high rate of rings. By instructions of this plan, the real meaning of a public library will be come true.

This study investigated whether academic library user education contributes to promote users' information literacy. 39 students of Duksung Women's University participated voluntarily for this experiment. A test questions set about locating specific library materials was delivered to participating students, who were to find right answers for each test question. Their answers about test questions were measured in terms of success rate, time used to solve each problem. Self evaluation scores were also collected before and after giving them user education. Academic library user education significantly contributed participating students' ability to locate academic library materials through a library user interface. After receiving user education students were able to solve more successfully test questions, use less time for each question, and evaluate themselves more highly in terms of information utilizing ability. The effectiveness of the academic library user education was lasted for about 8 weeks after the education they received.

Recently, domestic interest in gender equality is increasing, and it is expected that the demand for the collection of children's gender equality in the library will increase due to these social changes. In this study, the top 10 public libraries in Korea were selected from the list of collections of gender equality books and collection / loan data presented by various institutions such as public libraries and 'children's library research groups'. For this purpose, 10 libraries in Korea were selected and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively through the collection status of the gender equality collections, loan status, turnover, Bonn's use Factor, and Trueswell's 80/20 rule. Based on the results of this analysis, we would like to suggest some issues to be reflected in library development policy of the future.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of space use in university library and draw up considerations for enhancing space utilization based on the analysis results. For this purpose, the utilization rate of each space was analyzed by categorizing the user's space of the university library, and secondly, the preferences of the major user groups were analyzed according to the characteristics of the users' space. For empirical analysis, we collected and refined users' space usage data (98,282 people's data 433,769 cases) accumulated for one year for the central library of "J" National University. Then we analyzed the usage pattern according to space and period(monthly, hourly). In addition, preferences for each major group of users (undergraduates, graduate students and graduates) in the library were analyzed through the library visitors' data (2,426,553 cases) over the same period. The results of this study can be used as preliminary research for the composition and arrangement of users' space in future university libraries.

Information Protection and cryptography technology is developed with if but solved problem of real time processing and secret maintain. Therefore this paper is Proposed new PRN-SEED(Pseudo-Random Number-SEED) for the increasing secret rate and processing rate perform performance analysis with existed other cryptography algorithms. Proposed new PRN-SEED crypto-algorithm increase in the processing rate than existed algorithms use bit and byte mixed operation with RNG(Random Number Generator). PRN-SEED that performs simultaneous operations have higher 1.03 in the processing rate and 2 in the cryptosystem performance than existed cryptosystems. Implementation for PRN-SEED use Synopsys Design Analyser Ver. 1999.10, samsung KG75 library and Synopsys VHDL Debegger. As a simulation result, symmetric cryptosystem DES operate 416Mbps at the 40MHz and Rijndael operate 612Mbps at the 50MHz. PRN-SEED cryptosystem have gate counting 10K and operate 430Mbps at the 40MHz and 630Mbps at the 50MHz.

As interior and exterior environments change rapidly with the modern IT technology, the strategies related to marketing activities which enhance the library competition have been demanded. Although many previous studies have been conducted to improve the satisfaction of the library users and to increase the use rate, only few studies focused on the marketing strategy to elevate the library performance. With suggestion of a systematic framework related to the strategies, this study aims to analyze not only the interior and exterior factors which impact on the library marketing strategies, but the strategies which may influence on its performance. To achieve this objective, we adopted a comprehensive survey targeting the various types of our domestic libraries. On the basis of the results, we proposed a guideline for the strategy operation for the librarians to enhance the library performance.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the change in weight and heart rate associated with the use of phentermine through meta-analysis based on the published literatures. Methods: Eight electronic databases, PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane library, and five domestic databases were used to search the literature. Randomized controlled trials that evaluated the change in weight and heart rate with the use of phentermine compared with placebo were included in this study. The fixed-effect model weighted by the Mantel-Haenszel method was used in the meta-analysis, and the random-effects model was used when heterogeneity was present. Results: We included 12 studies comprising 677 patients. The change in weight observed with the use of phentermine (SMD = -1.37, 95% CI: -1.55, -1.19) was statistically significant compared with that observed with placebo. As per the subgroup analysis results, the change in weight by publication year, country, phentermine dosage, follow-up check was not heterogeneous. The change in heart rate observed with the use of phentermine (SMD = 0.64, 95% CI: 0.35, 0.92) was significant compared with that observed with placebo. Conclusions: Weight loss and increased heart rate were confirmed in phentermine compared with placebo.

This study purposes for the based data for establishing the mid- to long term development direction of Anyang municipal libraries by conducting a survey of residents in Anyang city and focus group interviews with local experts. Based on the results of the survey and FGI analysis conducted in this study, the main implications and discussions for establishing mid- to long term development plans for Anyang municipal libraries in the future are summarized as follows. First, the services used by users are extremely limited compared to the utilization rate of library, and the utilization rate of library programs is low, therefore Anyang municipal libraries need to actively promote various services operated by the library, provide information, and make efforts to improve service use procedures simply. Second, library satisfaction is relatively high, but as a result of analyzing the reasons for some dissatisfaction, active budget investment for purchasing new library materials and ways to increase library accessibility are necessary. Third, due to the low awareness of the operation of specialized libraries, it is necessary to develop specialized, unique library services to Anyang municipal libraries through benchmarking of other best practices. Fourth, in the future, Anyang municipal libraries need to strengthen functions as a complex cultural center along with the functions as an information center, a lifelong education center, and a living convenience center. Lastly, it is required to construct a control tower that can systematically lead the operation of Anyang municipal libraries in the long term through the reorganization of the organizational system.

This study was conducted by surveying users' perception about the public libraries' current public relations, which can contribute to developing the most appropriate public relations strategies for persons with disabilities(PWDs). This study concluded, first, PWDs' experience with the PR of the library services was a very low 32.4%. Intellectual disabilities, especially, were reported to have no experience in public relations. Second, the library public relations media which PWDs utilized the most were the Internet, library bulletin boards, banners, ARS services, and podcasting, in that order. However, satisfaction with promotions appeared below average(3 points or less). On the other hand, interest in public relations media was very high. Third, it appeared that library users with disabilities most frequently use the websites of their school library, the National Library of Korea, and public libraries in that order. However, the usage rate of services and users' satisfaction with them were very low. Finally, a high demand for facilities with accessibility to PWD users emerged as a result of this study. Therefore, this study recommends greater accessibility, convenience, and ease of facility use for persons with disabilities.
