대학에서는 다양한 분야의 지식과 정보가 창출되고 공유되는데 이러한 대학이 제공하는 교육서비스의 주된 장소가 도서관이다. 이 연구에서는 K대학생들을 대상으로 조사하여 제공자료 만족도, 환경 및 시설 만족도, 서비스 만족도가 이용자 만족도의 매개에 의해서뿐만 아니라 직접적으로도 이용자 충성도에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가설을 구조방정식모형을 통해 분석하였다. 분석결과 제공자료 만족도, 환경 및 시설 만족도, 서비스 만족도는 이용자 만족도의 매개에 의해서뿐만 아니라 직접적으로도 이용자 충성도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

한국 사회에서 다문화인이 겪는 편견과 차별로 인한 어려움을 해결하기 위해서는 시민들의 다문화 인식이 고양될 필요가 있으며, 공공도서관은 시민이 다문화에 대한 이해의 폭과 기회를 넓혀 나가는 문화 교류의 장으로 시민의 다문화 인식에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 공공도서관 및 지역의 특성에 따라 공공도서관 일반 이용자의 다문화 인식에 차이가 있는지 살펴보고, 어떤 특성이 다문화 인식에 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 도서관별로 도서관 이용자의 다문화 인식에 유의한 차이가 있음을 파악하였고, 이를 통해 도서관 특성이 이용자의 다문화 인식에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 공공도서관이 전반적인 서비스 제공에 있어 문화다양성 측면을 고려하여야 할 필요가 있음을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 상명대학교 도서관에서 실시하고 있는 학술정보 이용교육의 실태를 밝히고, 나아가 보다 합리적인 학술정보 이용교육 방안을 도출하기 위하여 피교육자의 인구사회적 특성과 제공받은 학술정보 이용교육방법에 따라 이들의 학술정보서비스 이용법에 대한 인지도에 차이가 있을 것이라는 가설을 설정하구 이를 검정하였다. 총 112부의 응답지를 SAS를 통하여 통계처리하고, 변인간의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 t-test와 ANOVA를 통하여 검정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학술정보 이용교육방법에 따른 피교육자들의 학술정보서비스 이용법에 대한 인지도에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 외국학술잡지시스템, 관련 사이트, 학위논문, 전자자료 원문복사서비스 전자자료 외부이용, e-book, 번역서비스의 이용법에 대한 인지도에 있어 의미 있는 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 학술정보 이용교육방법 증에는 그룹별 교육이 가장 효과적이며, 반대로 온라인 교육은 효과적이지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가장 합리적인 학술정보 이용교육 방안은 학부의 고학년 및 대학원생을 중심으로 한 오프라인 형태의 그룹별 교육이었다.

This study examined the various functions of public libraries, as well as user satisfaction and needs. We targeted 6 public libraries in the Seoul and Gyunggi area. After 280 library users were surveyed, the collected data were analyzed with an SPSS for Win 14.0 statistics program, where we used frequency, percentage, mean, T-test, One-way ANOVA, and Duncan's test. The major findings were as follows: 1) Half of the users used educational functional space, mainly in the 10-20 age group, who used it for educational purposes as a student or to prepare for getting a job. 2) There were gaps between the furniture arrangement and user preference since most libraries used a rigid system while users preferred a more flexible arrangement. 3) Space by space, public library satisfaction levels differed according to the users' gender and age. Satisfaction of the digital information room scored high, especially for users in their forties. Since public library users are diverse and require various functions, library interiors should be planned accordingly in terms of furniture arrangement and interior design. In particular, there was a gap between satisfaction by age groups, so libraries must account for community needs by considering the age group demographics of their surrounding areas.

전자정보기술의 발달로 인해 도서관 서비스제공은 정보화시스템에 대한 의존 비중이 커져가고 있다. 이러한 상황의 변화에 따라 본 연구는 이용자의 도서관 정보화에 대한 성과지각과 정보화를 통한 이용 만족은 전반적 만족에 중요한 선행요인이 될 것으로 추론하였다. 뿐만 아니라 기존 연구는 대체로 도서관의 서비스제공측면에서 이용자의 인식이나 만족을 조사하였으나 본 연구는 시각을 달리하여 이용자측면에서 단순 열람목적의 일반적 이용과, 전문정보구득 목적의 전문적 이용패턴이 정보화 성과지각에 어떻게 다르게 영향을 미치는지에 대해서 조사하였다. 또한 서비스품질차원이 정보화성과지각과 이용만족에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 마지막으로 서비스품질차원이 정보화성과지각과 이용만족에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과는 첫째, 도서관 이용자의 열람 등 일반적 목적 이용이 정보화성과지각에 영향을 미치는지 검증하고자 하였으나 유의한 수준에 미치지 못했다. 둘째, 도서관 이용자의 특정 정보구득 등 전문적 목적의 이용이 정보화성과지각에 유의한 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 일반적 서비스품질인 상호작용품질, 결과품질, 물리적환경품질 차원은 정보화성과지각에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나 정보화이용만족에는 유의하지 않았다. 마지막으로, 도서관 이용자의 정보화성과지각과 정보화이용만족이 전반적인 만족을 선행하고 있음을 밝혔다. 이를 통해 도서관의 정보화시스템을 어떻게 이용자중심으로 체계화하여 발전시킬 것인지에 대해 심층적인 고찰이 필요함을 확인하였다.

본 연구는 공공도서관 이용자를 대상으로 장소애착도와 장소가치인식도 간의 영향관계를 통계적으로 검증해보고, 이용빈도, 거주기간, 이용목적, 웹사이트 이용경험이 장소애착도와 장소가치인식도 간의 관계에서 조절변수로서의 역할을 하는지 파악하고자 했다. 계층적 회귀분석결과, 이용빈도와 거주기간이 '장소의존성'과 상호작용하여 '체험가치인식도'에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이용목적에 대한 조절효과를 알아보기 위해 이용목적별로 집단을 구분하고 장소애착도와 장소가치인식도와의 관계를 집단별로 분석하였다. 도서관 웹사이트 이용경험은 장소애착도와 장소가치인식도와의 관계에서 조절효과를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구 결과는 장소애착도라는 이용자의 감정적인 지표가 장소로서의 공공도서관의 가치를 설명할 수 있는 변수로서 활용성이 있음을 시사하고 있다.

The focuses and methods in Library science have been changed abreast with the development af library facilities and with the expansion and diversification of its functions. One of current trends in Library science is focussed on the social functions of library: its relations to the public, effective service for the users. and efficieniencies of the management policies, and so. on. To. deal with these issues, we need to borrow methodology from other disciplines such as management, marketing, statistics, etc. This paper is mainly concerned with how we approach to the measurement af services and thus provide tentative standard for evaluating library services. To do. this work properly, we'd better consider the users' needs and expectations. But it is not an easy work since too many factors are involved in the study of the users' needs. Users' needs and expectations are so. varying that it is difficult to find out some general and objective data. That is the reason why although many scholars have urged time after time the necessity of library's effectiveness measurement, few studies demonstrated substantial method for measuring the effectiveness of service. In this paper I propose a device for measuring service: i. e, Conjoint Analysis. Conjoint Analysis, which has originally been developed and applied in marketing research, is used to measure the priorities and preferences of purchasers on the new item. So far as Conjoint Analysis, concerning users' physical and psychological necessities, can numeralize people's needs, it may also be applied to measure service provided by nonprofit organization like library. If this approach prove to be sucessful, I hope this study to make any contribution to the appropriate direction on improving library facilities based on the result from a concret reference evaluation.

본 연구는 유럽의 고객만족도모델(ECSI)을 적용하여 대학도서관의 전반적인 품질이 도서관의 이용에 따른 전반적인 만족도와 도서관의 지속적인 이용의사에 미치는 영향을 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다 설문지는 대학도서관에 대해 이용자들이 지각하는 도서관의 전반적인 품질을 측정할 수 있도록 설계되었으며. 6개(전자자원, 인쇄형태자료, 제공프로그램, 도서관시설, 열람환경, 직원의 전문성 태도)의 변인으로 구성되었다. 분석결과 도서관의 전반적인 품질 중 인쇄형태자료. 열람환경 직원전문성 태도가 이용자만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 그중 열람환경이 가장 큰 영향력을 발휘하는 것으로 나타났다. 이용자들의 지속적인 이용과 관련하여서는 인쇄형태 자료, 열람환경, 이용자만족도가 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 도서관은 이용자들의 충성도를 증가시키기 위해서는 열람환경품질개선, 인쇄형태자료의 품질 개선, 직원의 전문성 및 태도에 관한 품질개선을 통해 이용자 만족도를 향상시켜야 한다.

Communication is a process involving a group of interrelated elements working together for the purpose of information transfer. This paper discusses information retrieval as a communication process in the 21st century library. The difficulties associated with access to recorded knowledge through bibliographic control devices have been exacerbated by the interposition of additional encoding processes in the library and further decoding by the users. In addition, the innovation of internet/web has revolutionized the means and mode of communication process in the library by flooding information seekers with information and creating an illusion of self-sufficiency in many users. With these changes in information seeking behaviour and pattern, a cybernetic approach to information retrieval has emerged emphasizing adaptive control mechanisms and feedback processes. This paper argues that libraries should strive to continuously remain relevant by keeping abreast with changes in the behavior of information users. To this end, this paper proposes apomediatic-cybernetic model of communication, which illustrates information retrieval processes for the 21st-century library.

Modern public library is expanding its role as generalized cultural facility. Therefore public library that has comfortable and physical environment for various age and various users are needed. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the application of universal design in common space of public library, and trying to suggest environmental improvement plan that various users could comfortably use the library based on its data. The scope of this research were adjusted as 8 public libraries located in Seoul and metropolitan area of Seoul. Spacial scope that was set of this research was common space of public library and scope of content was about application of universal design. As a result of the research, first, the application of universal design toward common space of public library were appeared as low. Second, constant management and application development of universal design is needed. Third, as roles and functions of public library become various from now on, application of delicate universal design is needed for intention of users.
