The purpose of this study is to investigate the problems concerning 780 music division of DDC. The object is especially arrangement of 780 music in the 20th edition of DDC which is the complete revision. The result is summarized as follows : 1. Although music is an important subject in humanities, especially in arts, it was classified as one division (780) not class. 2. The arrangement of 780 music is severely west-oriented music theory, vocal music and instrumental music. 3. Classification number of 780 music becomes longer because of the limitation of decimal notation. 4. 780 music division of DDC neglects music theory and emphasizes music practicing, especially performance. 5. The assignment of classification number is unbalanced, especially between theory and practice, composition and performance, and among sub-sections of vocal and instrumental music. 6. Many important subject are omitted in DDC music schedule, for example, musicology and branches of musicology, composition and traditional instruments of many countries. 7. Employment of terminology is often improper and inconsistant.

Music therapy has been proved to be effective in treatment of diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. Many studies have investigated the effect of music therapy techniques on symptoms of a given disease but there has been no efforts in classifying those studies by specific symptoms of diseases, although patients, caregivers and music therapists have difficulty in discovering documents that they need to treat certain diseases. Thus, in the study, we propose a method to group music therapy-related publications by the music therapy techniques mainly used for a given disease. We expect that it will help music therapists and patients to find papers to help them to cure a specific disorder.

본 연구의 목적은 음악자료 중 1차자료로서 모든 음악활동의 기초가 되는 악보자료의 활용을 위한 효율적인 관리의 기초를 마련하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 악보자료에 대해 문헌연구를 통해 악보자료 관리에 대하여 선정 및 수집 조직 이용서비스에 대한 제반사항을 고찰하였다. 그리고 이를 기초로 현재 대전 충남지역 대학도서관의 악보자료 관리현황에 대해 조사한 후, 현재 악보자료 관리의 문제점을 파악하고 이후의 효율적인 관리를 위한 과제를 제시하였다.

본 연구는 변화된 방송환경에서 텔레비전 다큐멘터리 배경음악 사용에 대한 생산자들의 인식은 어떠하며, 배경음악 사용이 어떻게 변화되고 있는지를 14명의 생산자 심층인터뷰를 통해 알아보았다. 연구결과, 방송 디지털화에 따라 다큐멘터리 배경음악은 작곡음악보다는 라이브러리음악의 사용이 보편화되었다. 또한 다큐멘터리 음악은 작품성, 다양성, 편리성 등으로 라이브러리음악 사용이 점차 확대되고 있었다. 라이브러리음악의 보편화는 텔레비전 다큐멘터리 생산자들 간의 관계와 배경음악에 대한 인식의 변화를 가져와 연출자(PD)와 음악감독의 공동작업이었던 배경음악 생산은 편집영상을 이메일 등을 통해 쉽게 주고받을 수 있게 됨으로써 생산자 간의 커뮤니케이션이 사라진 채 업무가 분업화되고 있다. 다큐멘터리의 라이브러리 음악 사용은 결국 다양한 방송제작 주체들의 창조적 생산활동참여에 장애가 될 수 있으며 음악사용의 규격화와 프로그램의 질적 저하를 가져올 수 있다는 함의에 도달하였다.

In this study, we investigated the necessity and limitations of music composition required in TV documentary by conducting in-depth interviews with 20 music directors currently working at Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). Our research has shown that composition of music is necessary. However, in reality, it is difficult to use the composed music due to problems such as time and cost of composing and trust in the music composer; so music libraries, film music, or other music are used instead of the composed music in many situations. However, at the time when companies like its rival Netflix are aware of the importance of sound, the impact of Netflix could lead to a decline in the quality of terrestrial TV, which could lead to a weakening of competitiveness. Recently, in the case of sound programs, the sales of secondary works are active due to "internet uploading using YouTube" or "exporting programs", but the sales have been hindered by restrictions on the use of copyrighted works. The music source of library is said to be the one whose copyright problem has been resolved. In this study, we show that the composed music is an ultimate alternative to TV documentaries, since the library music is sometimes suspended due to the situations of management companies.

This study was conducted under the premise that the university library's subject specialization room is in need of major modifications in order to accommodate the needs of various majors. The subject specialization room will be able to support university library users who are inclined to use the general reading room. Therefore, the study presents spatial planning for the average university library's subject specialization room by taking into account student majors. This could be a guideline for the construction and renovation of university libraries in the future. The summary of results for this study and the conclusions are as follows: 1)Natural sciences subject specialization room should be, partially connected with the humanities/social science subject specialization room in order to provide an open-concept reference room. In the shared area connecting the two subject specialization rooms needs to be installed a staff counter and subject specialist librarian service booth for users of both subject specialization rooms. 2)For humanities/social sciences subject specialization room, partially connect with the natural sciences subject specialization room. In the connecting area between the two rooms, plan an open-concept lounge for resting and reading. 3)It is best to plan subject specialization room for art/music/physical education majors separate from the subject specification room of other majors. Structurally separate art/music/physical education major subject specialization rooms from the building or plan a separate room in an art/music/physical education building. Users of art/music/physical education majors showed a high preference for a spatially separated and specialized library structure, which proves that an art/music/physical education library need to be planed based on the specialized library structure found in law school libraries or medical school libraries. Plan the center of the room with open-concept based reading room. Use wall-sides, partitions, or shelves to create reading space separate from the shelving area.

This paper proposes a MIDI- and audio-based music genre classification method for Korean traditional music. There are many traditional instruments in Korea, and most of the traditional songs played using the instruments have similar patterns and rhythms. Although music information processing such as music genre classification and audio melody extraction have been studied, most studies have focused on pop, jazz, rock, and other universal genres. There are few studies on Korean traditional music because of the lack of datasets. This paper analyzes raw audio and MIDI phrases in Korean traditional music, performed using Korean traditional musical instruments. The classified samples and MIDI, based on our classification system, will be used to construct a database or to implement our Kontakt-based instrument library. Thus, we can construct a management system for a Korean traditional music library using this classification system. Appropriate feature sets for raw audio and MIDI phrases are proposed and the classification results-based on machine learning algorithms such as support vector machine, multi-layer perception, decision tree, and random forest-are outlined in this paper.

본 연구의 목적은 오늘날 악보자료의 목록을 위해 사용되는 목록규칙의 분석을 통해 악보자료의 목록규칙에 관한 올바른 이해를 돕고, 우리의 악보자료에 대한목록과 목록규칙의 발전을 위한 토대를 마련하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 악보자료의 특성과 종류에 대해 살펴보고 기존의 악보자료에 관련된 목록규칙들을 조사하였다. 그리고 현재 악보자료 목록규칙의 근간을 이루는 ISBD(PM)을 비롯하여, 주요 목록규칙으로 사용되는 AACR2R 2002 Revision 2004 Update 제5장 Music과 KCR4 제5장 악보, 그리고 KORMARC(통합서지용)과 MARC21 (Bibliographic Data)의 악보부문을 대상으로, 악보자료 목록시 다른 자료들과 구별되는 기술영역을 비교 분석하였다. 이들 영역은 기술의 정보원, 표제와 자료유형표시, 악보의 종류에 관한 사항, 발행사항, 형태사항, 주기사항 등에서의 특징과제문제 등이다.

본 연구의 목적은 오늘날 한국음악에 관한 각종 다양한 자료를 융통성있게 수용하면서 학문적 전문지식에 근거한 보편성을 갖는 한국음악분류표를 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 이론적배경으로서 한국 음악 및 한국음악학의 체계와 각종 음악자료의 유형을 살펴보고, KDC의 한국음악 분야를 비롯 현재 도서관 및 각종 관련기관에서 사용되고 있는 한국음악 관련 분류표들을 분석하여 조사 분석된 분류전개에서 이론적 배경을 근거로 문제점을 찾아 이를 기초로 각종 한국음악 관련 문헌들을 참고로 하여 새로운 한국음악 분야의 분류표를 전개하였다.

점자악보는 시각장애인들이 음악을 배우고 즐길 수 있게 하는 필수적인 교육적 자료이다. 현재 우리나라에서는 전자점자악보의 제작은 국립장애인도서관에서 신청제작 할 수 있으며 점자악보제작 및 교육에 특성화 된 시각장애인음악 재활센터에서 가장 많이 제작되고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 전국의 지역별 점자도서관은 점자악보의 분류조차 되어 있지 않고 소장하는 점자악보의 수도 다른 점자도서에 비해 비중이 낮다. 본 연구는 국립장애인도서관의 점자악보 제작과 그 현황을 파악하여 점자악보의 제작의 정확성과 시각장애인들이 점자악보를 사용함에 있어 효율성이 있는지를 알아보고자 한다. 그리고 각 지역별 점자도서관의 점자도서의 수와 그 안에서의 점자악보의 비중을 알아보고 전자점자악보의 필요성과 DB구축의 필요성을 제안하고자 한다. 시각장애인들의 음악교육 및 예술활동을 위한 전자점자악보의 활성화와 체계화를 통해 우리나라의 시각장애인들이 장애인 당사자주의를 바탕으로 더 좋은 문화적, 예술적 환경을 조성하는데 일익을 담당하고자 한다.
