Sea level slope of the Korean Peninsula Coast determined by Local Mean Sea Level (지역별 평균해수면에 의해 결정된 우리나라 해안의 해면경사)

  • Computing the sea level slope at the BM(Bench Mark) in the coast areas around the Korean Peninsula is important for establishing height of BM of the Korean geodetic leveling network. In this study, MSL(Mean Sea Level) was recalculated with the long-term tide observation data based on the IHO(International Hydrographic Organization) standard(18.6 years), and the BM height was reanalyzed by precision leveling. The sea surface topography was analyzed by leveling at Mokpo(Mokpo Starting Point), Busan (09-00-00) and Mukho(20-26-00) BMs, and the sea level slope was computed based on the Korean vertical origin point. As a result of this study, the sea level slope of the west and east coasts between Incheon(-2.27cm) and Mukho(17.56cm) located at $37.5^{\circ}N$ was analyzed as 19.83cm. Domestic geodesists and oceanologists have confronted each other with regard to the issue of latitudinal changes in long term MSL. In the west coast, the Mokpo is 1.12cm higher than Incheon, and the Busan is 2.18cm higher than Mukho. Therefore, the west and east coasts have been analyzed as sea level slope rising to the south. It can be used to solve the reestablishment of the Korean geodetic leveling network and the problem of the elevation discrepancy in the BM.

Development of Hybrid Geoid using the Various Gravimetric Reduction Methods in Korea (다양한 중력학적 환산방법을 적용한 한국의 합성지오이드 개발)

  • Nowadays, the accuracy of the geoid model has been improved through development of the combination model which was composed of traditional gravimetric geoid and geometric geoid by the GPS/leveling data in USA and Japan. It is a state of the art method in geoid modeling field that what so called hybrid geoid. In this paper, as a basic study to develop Korean hybrid geoid model, we studied gravimetric geoid solutions using three gravity reduction methods (Helmert's condensation method, RTM method and Airy-isostatic method) and evaluated the usefulness of each method in context of precise geoid. The gravimetric geoid model were determined by restoring the gravity anomalies (included TC) and the indirect effects were made from various reduction methods on the EIGEN-CG03C reference field. The results are compared with respect to the geometric geoid undulation determined from 498 GPS/leveling after LSC fitting. The results showed that hybrid geoid with RTM (Residual terrain model) reduction method was most accurate method and the value of the difference compared to geometric geoid was $0.001{\pm}0.053m$.

  • This study describes a problem of the Original Bench Mark which is used currently. We calculate New Mean Sea Level(MSL) in Incheon Port using tide data for 57 months and take 8 points GPS/Leveling data in research area. We calculate orthometric height of one control point using tide data and GPS/Leveling data. After fixed the control point, we decide final orthometric heights using relative geoidal height and ellipsoidal height from GPS survey. To analysis the Original Bench Mark compares final orthometric heights with the orthometric heights in Korea height system. We get the result that the New Original Bench Mark's height is 26.7176m. It appears 3.05cm difference as the Original Bench Mark's height is 26.6871cm in Korea height system.

  • The crystalline structure and leveling action on the deposit of zinc from the cyanide zinc electroplating bath containing organic additives, such as aldehydes, polymers, amines and condensed product, have been studied by microscope and X-ray diffraction methods. The crystalline structure of the deposit from the bath containing no-additive, polymers and aldehydes appeared very strong orientation on (101) plane and the surface was rough, while from condensed product having remarkable effects in brightness appeared very strong orientation on (110) and the crystallinity was very fine. In the leveling action, the effect of any additives except reaction product was not appreciable, whereas the effect of the reaction product obtained remarkably excellent result.

  • The study has focused on the dyeing properties of 4 kinds of high temperature type mono azo disperse dyes, widely used in the dyeing factory, under the ultra low liqour ratio (1:4) dyeing condition. Among those, C.I. Disperse Red 343 and C.I. Disperse Blue 79 showed un-levelled dyeing results from the ultra low liquor ratio dyeing bath as well as poor dispersion stability under the high temperature. We recommended some leveling agents to improve the leveling behavior of these dyes mentioned above. The milling technology should be further developed to achieve the dispersion stability.

  • In this paper, operation algorithms are evaluated for a fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle (FCHEV). Power assist, load leveling and equivalent fuel algorithm are proposed and implemented in the FCHEV performance simulator. It is found from the simulation results that the load leveling algorithm shows poor fuel economy due to the system charge and discharge efficiency. In the power assist and equivalent fuel algorithm, the fuel cell stack is operated in a relatively better efficiency region owing to the battery power assist, which provides the improved fuel economy.

  • 한국은 국토의 약 70%정도가 산지이고 약 25%정도가 평지로 구성되어 있으며 산업화, 도시화로 인해 농경지가 줄어들고 있는 실정이다. 그래서 식량자급이 어렵게 되어 수입 의존도가 증가할 것이므로 경사지를 이용하여 농경지를 확대하여야 하겠다. 건설부 토지분류에서 전 국토면적의 경사도중 5$^{\circ}$ 미만은 약 21.1%이므로 5$^{\circ}$ 이상의 토지인 78.9%중 농경지가 가능한 경사지에 해당하는 면적에서 트랙터로 작업을 하면 작업자의 위험부담뿐만 아니라 작업의 효율이 현격히 떨어질 것이다 현재 일반 트랙터로 작업을 하는 범위는 전답, 과수 및 초지 등의 경운 및 관리용 차량으로 많이 사용되고 있다. 그런데 모든 작업의 조건이 동일한 것이 아니라 예를 들면, 경사지 작업과 같은 열악한 조건에서도 작업을 할 경우가 종종 있다 그러므로 일반형 트랙터로 작업을 하기가 힘들기 때문에 경사지용 트랙터가 요구된다. 국내에서는 거의 연구가 행해지고 있지 않은 실정이며, 국외에서는 구미 및 일본을 중심으로 활발한 연구활동이 행해지고 있다.   • Electrolytic polishing is the anodic dissolution process in the transpassive state. It removes non-metallic inclusions and improves mechanical and corrosion resistance of stainless steel. Electrolytic polishing is normally used to remove a very thin layer of material from the surface of a metal object. An electrolyte of phosphoric, sulfuric and distilled water has been used in this study. In the low current density region, there can be found plateau region and material removal process and leveling process occur successively. In this study, an electrochemical polishing process using pulse current is adopted as a new electrochemical polishing process. In electrochemical machining processes, it has been found that pulse electrochemical processes provide an attractive alternative to the electrochemical processes using continuous current. Hence, this study will discuss the electrochemical polishing processes in low current density region and pulse electrochemical polishing.
