성역할 태도와 맞벌이 태도의 차이에 관한 연구: 기혼·유자녀 가구를 중심으로 한 유형화 (A Study on the Difference between Gender Role Attitude and Dual Income Attitude: Focusing on Classification of Married Couple with Children)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to empirically verify the difference between traditional gender role attitude and realistic dual earner attitude. Most preceding studies analyzed gender role attitude by summated rating scale while few studies have been conducted on the difference between traditional gender role attitude and dual earner attitude. Method: By using the 9th Korea Welfare Panel Data (year 2014), this study extracted households of married couples and with children in working age (18 through 64 years of age) who are the main subjects in work-family relationship. First, this study classified traditional group and modern group in their gender role attitude and passive group and active group in their dual earner attitude and by crossing these attitudes, drew out 4 gender role/dual earner attitudes. For analysis, this study investigated frequency of attitude types through descriptive statistics. By conducting ANOVA, study verified if there are significant differences in the satisfaction with family relationship depending on the types of gender role/dual earner attitudes. Lastly, study examined the effect of socio-economic status and demographic characteristics on the types of gender role/dual earner attitudes by conducting multi-nominal logistic regression analysis. Results: As the result of analysis, first, half of respondents belonged to 'equal-role-oriented type' who has modern gender role attitude and active dual earner attitude. However, there were not a few 'dual-earner-avoiding type' who has modern gender role attitude but passive dual earner attitude and 'incongruous attitude type' who has traditional gender role attitude but active dual earner attitude. Next, 'incongruous attitude type' had significantly low level of satisfaction with overall family life, relationship with spouse and relationship with children than other attitude types. Lastly, those whose incomes belong to poor strata, those who are high school graduates and lower, males and those who are over the age of 60 had significantly higher probability of belonging to 'incongruous attitude type.' Conclusion: The results of analysis demonstrate that the difference between gender role attitude and dual earner attitude is an important matter and since 'incongruous attitude type' exhibits low level of satisfaction with family relationship, scrupulous policy approaches are required for those who have high possibility of belonging to 'incongruous attitude type.'

남편의 가사노동과 자녀돌봄 분담 유형별 관련요인 및 부부의 가사분담만족도: 맞벌이 부부와 비맞벌이 부부 비교 (How satisfied are they with husbands' sharing of domestic labor? Comparing couples from single-earner and dual-earner households)

  • Objectives: Do husbands with working wives share domestic labor more equally than husbands with unemployed housewives? Is the husband's contribution sufficient enough to satisfy his wife? These questions have long inspired many researchers to find ways to more accurately estimate husband's domestic contributions and narrow the emotional gap following the different threshold of satisfaction within couples, but not without some limits. This study attempted to figure out an answer to the above-mentioned subject by using time diaries of Korean married couples with a preschooler as their first-born child and relying on the typology of husbands' sharing of housework and childcare, which allowed me to overcome some limitations of prior research. Method: I analyzed a total of 1,716 diaries of 858 married couples from 2014 Korea Time Use Survey with descriptive statistics, t-test, cluster analysis, and multinomial logit. Results: Analytic results showed that husbands in dual-earner households did share domestic labor more equally than husbands in single-earner households, but there were different types of husband's contribution depending on time they spent in housework and childcare. While more than half of husbands with employed wives shared more or less than ten percent of domestic labor, the rest were divided into one group of husbands who shared both housework and childcare more heavily and evenly, and another group who were mainly involved in childcare duties. It is interesting that husbands who made the least contributions to domestic labor were not the ones with the lowest level of satisfaction with their sharing of household labor, whereas their wives were deeply dissatisfied, leading to a huge emotional gap within couples. Conclusion: Identifying factors associated with the three different types allowed me to find a point of intervention to narrow the emotional gap that is likely to harm the marital relationship if left unattended to.

주부의 자아 존중감과 가사 노동에 대한 태도 및 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Relation Between Self-Esteem and Attitude Toward Household Work and its Satisfaction.)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relations between housewife's self esteem and attitude toward household work its satisfaction and to find out how independent variables(housewife's age, education level, employment, household work helper, type of family) have effect on the two dependent variables. The measurement of self-esteem was based on the self-concept test standarized by Jung Won Sick, reformed the Fitts measurement for Korean Society. In order to measure of attitude toward household work and its satisfaction, based on the previous research, researcher made the measurement . the research was conducted on 234 housewives in Seoul in September 1984. Data was analyzed by percentage, mean, frequence analysis of variances, Pearson's correlation coefficient. The result can be summarized as following. 1)Over on half of housewives have high self-esteem comparatively. 2) Age and education level were variables to have influence n the attitude toward household work. 3)The attitude toward household work and its satisfaction comparatively were high. 4)Education level and type of family were variables to have influence on the attitude toward household work. Education level, employment and household work helper were variables to have influence on the satisfaction of house hold work. 5) Level of Self-esteem has influence on the attitude toward household work and its satisfaction. The higher level of self-esteem was, the higher becomes the score of the attitude toward house hold work and its satisfaction. Following suggestions can be extracted form the results of above study. 1) research of housewife's self-esteem didn't established a setted theory yet. I think, therefore, it requires deeper study about housewife's household work look upon as her occupation and relation between the household work as her occupation and her self-esteem in this area. 2) Population and sociological variables, used in this study, hardly influenced on self-esteem, the attitude toward household work and its satisfaction. Also the result didn't correspond with one another. So I think it requires need of further study how psychological and family function variables will have influence on housewife's self-esteem, the attitude toward household work and its satisfaction. 3) To recognized the value of household work objectively, many researchers tried to investigate of economical value of household work, But if housewife can realize her self-actualization through household work, it requires the study that try to objectively not only estimate the economic value of household work, but also the contribution of the aspect of family psychology.

체계론적 관점에서 본 취업주부가정의 가정관리행동 연구 -갈등 관리 행동을 중심으로- (A Study on the Home Management Behavior in Employed Wives' Families Based on a System's Approach)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide for the appropriate conflict management strategies to employed wives by investigation casual relations of conflict, resources, home management behavior and managerial satisfaction by applying a system's approach. The data were collected through the questionnaire whose respondent were 388 employed wives. The data were analyzed by various statistical methods such as Frequency, Percentage, ANOVA, F-test, T-test, Pearsons' correlation analysis, Multiple Regression analysis, Path analysys. The results of this study are as follows : 1) Input variables, throughput variables, output variables had differences significantly according to the family life cycle. The employed wives' families which are former term of the family life cycle used more appropriate conflict management strategies than latter term of FLC. That is, the employed wives' families which are former term of FLC had more abundant resources such as cohesive power of family, interaction with relatives, social support, had higher planning score, used more frequent structural management strategies. But, the managerial satisfaction had no differences. 2) For the relation of input variables and throughput variables, the more resources, the lower conflict is the higher planning, implementing score, structural management score. For the relation of throughput variables, the higher planning, implementing, structural management score is the higher managerial satisfaction score. For the relation of input variables and output variables, the more resources, the lower conflict is the higher managerial satisfaction, besides objective and material resource, subjective and psychological resource had influence. 4) among all variables affecting the managerial satisfaction, the commition of housework, cohesive power of family, wives' occupational level had indirect effect on managerial satisfaction through structural managemenet. Only the income had direct effect on managerial satisfaction.

1인가구의 생애주기별 생활실태 및 생활만족도 : 김포시 1인가구를 중심으로 (Living Conditions and Life Satisfaction of Single-person Households by Life Cycle : An Analysis of Single-person Households in Kimpo, South Korea)

  • 이 연구는 가족의 다양성 차원에서 1인가구의 보편화 현상에 주목하여, 김포시 1인가구 사례를 중심으로 1인가구의 생애주기별 생활실태 그리고 생활만족도를 살펴보았다. 조사는 김포시 거주 1인가구를 대상으로 2022년도 8-10월에 걸쳐 대면설문조사로 실시되었다. 생애주기별로 청년/중장년/노년기 1인가구로 집단을 구분하였고, 1인가구의 인구사회학적 배경, 개인생활 영역, 가족관계, 생활만족도 등의 문항을 통계분석에 활용하였다. 조사대상자 특성을 파악하기 위한 기술통계, 생애주기별 생활실태의 차이를 검증하기 위한 교차분석과 일원분산분석, 그리고 생활만족도에 영향 미치는 변수를 파악하기 위한 중다회귀분석을 적용하였다. 주요 연구결과로, 먼저 1인가구의 식생활관리, 의류관리, 주거관리, 가정관리, 자기돌봄, 경제생활, 여가생활 등에서 생애주기별로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 1인가구의 생활만족도에 영향 미치는 변수로는 생애주기 즉 중노년기 보다 청년기일 경우 높은 수준으로 나타났고, 또 돌보아야 하는 가족원의 존재, 1인가구 형성의 자발성, 차별경험, 지역사회 인지수준, 유대 등이 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과를 볼 때, 1인가구가 생애주기별로 다른 욕구 그리고 문제를 가질 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 의식주생활, 가정관리, 자기돌봄, 경제생활, 여가 등 생활의 여러 영역에서 생애주기별 1인가구의 경험과 어려움의 차이를 반영하여 맞춤형의 정책과 프로그램을 제공할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

소비자 혁신력이 소셜커머스 이용만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Consumer Innovativeness on the Satisfaction with Social Commerce Use)

  • Social commerce has a large impact on the emergence of the concept of society and individual lives that is recognized as one of the most important business areas in the Internet environment. A marketing agency, Trend Monitor (http://www.trendmonitor.co.kr), conducted a survey on social commerce usage and satisfaction level; subsequently, we used survey result data from 221 adult males and females for our research sample. Data analyses were conducted by reliability test, confirmatory factor analysis, t -test or one-way analysis of variance, and structural equation model (SEM) with IMB SPSS ver. 21.0 and ver. AMOS ver. 21.0. This study focused on multi-dimensional consumer innovativeness and found three elements of acceptability, competence, and distribution. Empirical verification through SEM presented data that suggests the three consumer innovativeness factors have a direct positive effect on social commerce that causes factors to indirectly affect satisfaction levels. This study indicated that the main consumption patterns in modern society take advantage of social commerce and satisfaction by improving a market economy to promote restoration. First, this study considers consumer innovativeness to have three factors. Secondly, research results help to understand relations between consumer innovativeness, use and satisfaction with social commerce that can help the social commerce industry establish effective market strategies through consumer innovativeness. The conclusion discusses implications for academic research and marketing strategies.

브라질 상파울루시의 한식당 현황 및 만족도 조사 (A Study of the Current State of Korean Restaurants in São Paulo in Brazil)

  • To find an efficient solution for the globalization of Korean food in Brazil, we conducted a survey about the satisfaction of Brazilian natives who had visited a Korean restaurant, and possible suggestions for improvement. We also conducted indepth interviews with 13 owners of Korean restaurants in Seo Paulo, Brazil, about their plans to improve Korean food to be more appealing to the Brazilian palate. Our research shows that Korean restaurants had a below average reputation for employee kindness, menu taste and variety, interior, mood, and accessibility. As a result of the survey, we found that Korean restaurants were considered in general to be below average. The survey also showed that the higher the level of a person's economic standing, the less satisfaction they had with Korean food restaurants. We also found that the most common pieces of advice that Brazilian women had regarding Korean restaurants were to offer more variety in the menu, maintain a cleaner restaurant, and to actively engage in public relations. The general concerns of everyone surveyed focused on cleanliness and public relations of the restaurant. However, food-related people focused more on the taste and quality of the food. Sao Paulo is currently the most well-developed economic center in South America, so the world's food service industry is pushed to the front of its ongoing development. For Korean food to make inroads into Brazil, Korean restaurants need to change the niche that they occupy. First-generation family businesses and second-generation specialized family businesses coexist in that city. So first of all, to localize the Korean food for Brazilian tastes, a menu system that will easily allow natives to access Korean food must be established. And second of all, it must support the total food culture by improving distribution, sanitation management, and marketing methods that can get the natives to like Korean food ingredients.

지역주민의 축제 참여동기와 만족도가 지지도에 미치는 영향: 유달산 봄꽃 축제를 중심으로 (Local Participation, Festival Motivation, Satisfaction Level, and Support Level: Focusing on Yudalsan Mountain's Spring Festival)

  • Purpose - There have been local government systems since June 1955. Many local governments have made use of festivals for regional public relations and the achievement of competitiveness. This study analyzes effective components of local festivals. There has been extensive research in relation to variables such as participation motivation, satisfaction level, recall intention, royalty, and recommend purpose. However, as a variable factor, attachment to the participation motivation of a festival has been overlooked along with support level to a festival. This study has added new variables named "attachment to local society" and "support level," which are dependent variables. We will study the relationship of these two variables. Research design, data, and methodology - This study has devised a cause-and-effect relationship model, which deduces that local residents' participation motivation for the festival will have positive influence on the festival support level and satisfaction level. We circulated questionnaires to local residents to get the data required to prove the hypothesis. To analysis the data, we used SPSS 21.0, and accomplished basic analysis through the analysis of frequency as well as descriptive statistical analysis. Further, we verified our measurement tools through reliability analysis, and examined the research hypothesis through multiple regression analysis. Results - With regard to the festival satisfaction level, the variables of local society attachment, festival attraction, escaping from the daily life, and family harmony have influence upon a positive effect (+) in this order. Among them, the variable of local society attachment has the greatest influence. However, in respect of support level for the festival, only the variables of local society attachment and escaping from the daily life have a valid influence on the positive effect (+), and local society attachment has relatively greater influence. In addition, not only does the festival satisfaction level affect the support level for the festival in terms of positive effect, the influence is also far-reaching, which verifies the mediating effect. Conclusions - The result shows that the local residents' satisfaction level with the Yudalsan Mountain Spring Flower Festival is comparatively high, which is due to the local society attachment. It also shows that it is difficult to create support without local residents' attachment with their area. Consequently, this study insists that the Yudalsan Mountain Spring Flower Festival should exceed its limitation as just a village-level party, in order to become a remarkable and outstanding festival, and suggests three operational implications: macro-environmental development, task environment development, and internal operational environmental development. From the macro-environmental perspective, the constant development of local culture and local business is proposed. In the task environment perspective, a new functional development for the festival is proposed. From the internal operational environmental perspective, improvements in festival operation methods are proposed. If these weak points are addressed and resolved through a more detailed approach, it will be very helpful for local government systems to operate the festival.

Daily Life Satisfaction in Asia: A Cross-National Survey in Twelve Societies

  • Aside from political leaders' popularity rates and the stock exchange index of business firms, ordinary people are highly interested in aspects of daily life, such as housing, income, health, family, food, human relations and work. Cross-national opinion polls on daily-life satisfaction were carried out in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao, the Philippines, India, Myanmar, Taiwan, China, Malaysia and Pakistan in the fall of 2013 and winter 2014. The percent difference index (PDI) is formulated as the sum of two positive responses (satisfied and somewhat satisfied) minus the sum of two negative responses (dissatisfied and somewhat dissatisfied). Percent difference indices are given according to society and daily-life aspects. For our analysis to go beneath national average and to go beyond national borders, two lines of analysis are carried out. First, the distance between the level of satisfaction of the top and bottom quartiles is given for each society and according to each of the daily-life aspects. Second, the regional sum of satisfaction of the top quartiles and bottom quartiles are shown crossed by daily-life aspects. In this article we confine ourselves to preliminary comparative description and analysis. More solid and deep comparisons will be carried out by local polling leaders of 12 Asian societies in the succeeding issue of the Asian Journal of Public Opinion Research. Nevertheless, two key threads stand out from this preliminary comparisons. First, social relations (family and human relations) stand out as most satisfied aspects of life in most of twelve societies. Second, the need to go beneath national averages and beyond national borders in analyzing cross-national surveys is confirmed. The comparability and validity of cross-national surveys with varying sampling method and survey mode are briefly discussed toward the end of the article.

호스피스 케어인식도와 시설이용 만족도에 관한 연구 -수도권 중심으로- (A study on hospice care awareness and user satisfaction with intensive care unit facilities -Centering on capital district-)

  • 본 연구 목적은 호스피스 케어인식도, 이용에 대한 만족도, 호스피스인식도의 차이를 파악하고자 한다. 연구대상은 수도권에 소재하는 호스피스 요양시설에 입원한 중증질환자와 가족 160명을 대상으로 2013년 3월 10일부터 7월 31일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석방법은 SPSSWIN 18.0프로그램을 이용하여 평균, 표준편차, 빈도분석, 카이스케어 분석을 하였다. 연구결과는 호스피스 케어인식도에서 연령과 종교, 결혼 상태에 따른 케어인식도가 유의미하게 파악되었다. 그리고 중증질환자의 호스피스 시설이용만족도에 대한 결과는 호스피스 시설이 도시보다 농촌을 선호하는 것으로 파악되었으며 병실선호 형태는 침대가 온돌방 보다 만족도가 높았다. 본 논문의 시사점은 향후 시설이용 의향이 있다는 응답이 높게 나타난 결과로 볼 때 호스피스 제도개선 정책의 기초자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.
