The conventionally classified waves are reclassified in this paper, including the waves associated with metamaterial (MTM) transmission lines. Various types of guided waves in periodic structures are analyzed for 1D Composite Right/Left Handed (CRLH) transmission lines (TL). In addition, dispersion diagrams for 1D CRLH, RH, and LH TLs are presented in terms of radiation conditions. We have refined the design equations of the conventional 1D CRLH TL and proposed a condition to realize the desired phase shift and its slope per unit cell. This condition has been applied to the conventional Wilkinson power divider and realized into MTM added $90^{\circ}$ hybrid coupler. Based on the 10 dB return loss and the $90{\pm}10^{\circ}$ phase shift, the bandwidths of the MTM added $90^{\circ}$ hybrid coupler are 82.25% and 103.5% against the conventional 23% and 52.5%, respectively.

In this letter, a compact and fully printed composite right- and left-handed (CRLH) dual-band power divider is proposed. The branches of the conventional Wilkinson power divider are replaced by subwavelength CRLH phase-shift lines having $+90^{\circ}$ for one frequency and $-90^{\circ}$ for another frequency for dual-band and miniaturization performance. Equations are derived for the even- and odd-mode analysis combined with the dual-band CRLH circuit. A PCS and a WLAN band are chosen as the test case and the circuit approach agrees with the CAD simulation and the measurement. Additionally, the CRLH property is shown with the dispersion diagram and the eightfold size reduction is noted.

ZLI-1167과 CB15의 혼합 액정에 대하여 CB15의 혼합비를 바꾸어 가면서 파장에 대한 투과율을 측정하여 CB15의 혼합비와 이에 따른 선택적 반사대 중심파장간의 관계식을 찾아내었으며, 이로부터 632.8nm에 대한 액정 원편광기를 설계, 제작하고 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 제작된 액정 원편광기를 통과한 빛의 타원도는 0.98로 측정되어 원편광기로 기능함을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate variables of significantly difference as the structure of the spine, pelvic deviation and foot pressure between undergraduates and golf player subjects. The subjects of study were composed of 20 male golf players and 20 male undergraduates. Both groups were right handed persons. The measurement tools of this study were Formetric 4D(Diers, Germany) which is a three dimensional measure. The result are the follows: there were a significant difference between golf players and general students of trunk imbalance, pelvic tilt, pelvic torsion, pelvic rotation, surface rotation, lumbar lordotic curve, foot pressure(fore & behind foot), weight distribution(right & left foot). In conclusion, golf players might cause transform of spine and foot pressure due to golf exercise for several years. Such as imbalance affect to induce functional impairment and pain of musculoskeletal system, and appropriate evaluation and treatment were necessary for golf players.

In this paper, the use of a dual composite right/left-handed coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission line is proposed for the design of a band rejection filter. The notch property of the filter is achieved by combining the convex signal line with the shorted concave meander line, and the equivalent circuit model is extracted from the geometry of the unit cell for organizing the band rejection property. Then the equivalent parameters of the unit cell are analyzed to identify those behaviors. And the dispersion characteristics and energy distributions are simulated. In the end, the band rejection filter is manufactured by cascading two proposed unit cells. We show that the measurement result for the resonant frequency demonstrates good agreement with the simulation result and the band rejection filter provides a rejection performance of 17.5 dB at the stopband frequency ranging from 869 MHz to 894 MHz.

We have analyzed a set of high resolution photographic line profiles of a Zeeman sensitive Fe I $\lambda$ 6302.5 line taken with the Universal Birefringent Filter over a single round sunspot (SPO 5007) at the Sacramento Peak Solar Observatory. The observed spectra recorded on films are traced by PDS and the traced densities are converted to relative intensity by means of IRAF. The Stokes I and V profiles are then constructed by adding together and subtracting from each other the left and right handed circular polarizations, respectively. The reduced I and V profiles are analyzed by means of the coarse analysis(Auer et al.(1977), Skumanich and Lites(1987)) with the use of inversion technique. It is found that the umbral field strength is about 3000 gauss and the field distribution follows closely the emperical model proposed by Wittmann(1974).

Multiplexers based on isolation circuits made of metamaterial lines are proposed and studied. The new approach provides unique advantageous features beneficial to system designer. For instance, there is no need to modify the filters used in multiplexers. Also, the design process is straightforward. In this paper, two types of multiplexers based on metamaterial isolation circuits are presented, and their operation concepts are explained. Also, theories and design process of isolation circuits are presented to help readers design and fabricate proposed multiplexers. For verifying the concepts, two types of triplexers and two types of quadruplexers are designed and fabricated. All filters used in the multiplexers are commercial surface acoustic wave filters. The measured results are well matched with the simulation results.

Purpose: We investigated the effects of physical practice, mental practice, and cross education using serial reaction time (SRT). We recruited 21 right-handed healthy males and females who gave consent and had no clinical history for their upper limbs. Methods: The subjects were divided into three groups; actual practice (n=7), mental practice (n=7), and controls (n=7), who performed actual training, mental training, or no intervention respectively for three weeks. Super lab 4.0 displayed four symbols on the monitor and subjects pushed on the matching button, with reaction time assessed pre- and post-intervention. Results: Reaction time was significantly lower after actual or mental practice (p<0.05). Actual practice also decreased left hand reaction time. Conclusion: Actual practice and mental practice can improve motor learning, but mental practice is not sufficient for cross education.

A novel frequency-switchable antenna that uses PIN diodes and a composite right- and left-handed transmission line (CRLH TL) is proposed. The CRLH TL provides multi-order resonance, including a zeroth-order resonance (ZOR), and its shunt stub determines the ZOR frequency. Thus, the resonant frequency is arbitrarily chosen by lumped chip inductors on the shunt stub. Two prototypes are designed using different chip inductors while maintaining the antenna geometries. Antenna #1 can switch the resonant frequency from 1.8 GHz to 2.3 GHz. Antenna #2 can switch its resonance from 0.9 GHz to 2.3 GHz.

Two cases of bilateral ulnar neuropathies caused by telephone overuse are described in people engaged in the job of longtime telephone use. They had worked using telephone all through the working hours. Although they were right handed, they usually used the telephone in their left hand so as to leave their right hand free for writing, and would lean his elbow on the desk. Telesales or teleconsultation is a rapidly expanding field of business. These cases highlights the need of proper training and supplies appropriate to do their job.
