With the recent expansion of online lectures, studies on their effectiveness and their influencing factors have increased. This study examines the factors affecting the satisfaction of online classes, considering the utilization and importance of online lectures, which have greatly increased in recent years. Based on the review of previous studies, this study identified learning presence, self-efficacy, and learning immersion as factors affecting the satisfaction of online classes, and suggested hypotheses that explain the relationship between these factors, and empirically reviewed the hypotheses. As a result of the study, it was found that learning presence and self-efficacy had a positive effect on learning immersion, and learning immersion had a positive effect on learning satisfaction. Based on the research results, some practical implications for improving the satisfaction of online classes were suggested.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of a sense of classroom community and social presence on learning satisfaction in a cyber learning setting. The subjects in this study were 172 sixth graders in M elementary school in the city of D, who studied in a cyber setting at home. A survey was conducted to gather data, and multiple regression analysis were carried out to determine the influence of a sense of classroom community and social presence on learning satisfaction. As a result, it is found that a sense of classroom community and social presence had a significant correlation to learning satisfaction. A sense of classroom community turned out to affect learning satisfaction. A sense of classroom community are a major variable that should seriously be taken into account in an elementary cyber learning setting in order to boost the learning satisfaction of learners. In the future, the kinds of instructional design that could foster a sense of classroom community is required when cyber learning environments are prepared.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of sign language video location in e-learning system for the hearing-impaired. Background: E-learning education is a good way to resolve the inequality of education for the disabled. Providing a sign language video in e-learning education for the hearing-impaired is very important for their learning. Although the location of sign language video is an important factor in the design of the video, the effect of its location in learning using the e-learning system was not studied. Method: In order to identify the effect of sign language video location on the learning of the hearing-impaired using the e-learning system, the prototypes of the system with different locations were developed. Eighteen people with hearing impairment participated in this experiment. Learning presence, learning immersion, and learning satisfaction were used to measure learning effects with sign language video location. Results: Bottom right position was more preferred through preference evaluation for sign language video location. The learning effect with sign language video location (bottom-left and bottom-right) was not significant. That is, the effects of learning presence, immersion, and satisfaction were not statistically significant with video location. Conclusion: From this study, the following have to be considered in e-learning system design for the hearing-impaired. Although the location of a sign language video is not a significant factor from the experiment, the bottom right position in the design is proposed because learning presence and satisfaction is slightly higher at the bottom right position, and the position is preferred from subjective evaluation. From the analysis of interview data, it was also proposed that the design of a sign language video should be improved for the hearing-impaired. Application: The result of this study can be applied to the e-learning system design for the hearing-impaired.
Cognitive presence, a sense of "being there" cognitively, has recently been considered as an important indicator for students' engagement in e-learning. There is, however, no widely accepted scale to measure the level of cognitive presence since most studies have put their effort to set and clarify the conceptual framework with qualitative methodology. This study reviewed existing theories on cognitive presence and related fields extensively and developed a new self-report scale for measuring the conceived level of cognitive presence. The reliability and validity of the scale was tested against 723 undergraduate students in two consecutive studies, 418 in the preliminary and 305 in the follow-up study. Three major constructs to measure the perceived level of cognitive presence were: 1) clear understanding, 2) knowledge construction, and 3) learning management. This paper reports the final results of the two independent studies.

Recently, as students' programming classes are being conducted online, interest in factors that can lead to the success of online programming classes is also increasing. Therefore, in this study, online programming classes were conducted for specialized high school students using a web-based simulation programming tool through TinkerCad. In these online programming classes, students' self-regulation ability and learning flow were set as variables that influence both learning engagement and teaching presence, and the predictive power of each was analyzed. As a result, it was found that both self-regulation ability and learning flow were predictive variables for learning engagement and teaching presence, and that learning flow played a mediating role between self-regulation ability, learning engagement, and teaching presence. This study is meaningful in that it suggested that self-regulation ability and learning flow should be considered more meaningfully in online programming classes, and a practical strategy for this is presented.
The emotional factor has not been focused in e-learning studies. But the emotions of student are very important in e-learning because it is a self-regulated learning. This study is focused on the emotional factor in e-learning. This study examines the effect of perceived customer orientation to emotional presence, commitment and customer satisfaction in e-learning. The results of this study showed that the perceived customer orientation effect to the commitment about the learning and the customer satisfaction in e-learning.

This study aims to analyze differences in the social presence of instructor by instructor's social intervention, the effects of the social presence of instructor on learning satisfaction, and learner characteristics related to the social presence of instructor. Data including subjects' demographic information, interactions, social presence of instructor, social presence of the course, and learning satisfaction were collected from 119 adult learners in an online university in Korea. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, the social presence of instructor was higher in the higher-aged group or active group on intranet message board than the lower-aged group or inactive group on the board. Second, instructor's social intervention increased the level of perceived social presence of instructor. However, the active group on the board has shown the highest level of perceived social presence of instructor, without instructor's social intervention. Third, there was a high correlation between instructor's social intervention and the social presence of instructor, while the variables affecting learning satisfaction were the social presence of instructor and social presence of the course. From the results of this study, it is suggested that instructors' social interventions be provided systematically for those who are not active in social interaction to enhance their learning satisfaction.
The purpose of this study is to realize Ontact PBL that can sufficiently contain interactive elements that can increase the perception of reality between professors and students in an environment without human contact. This is a class designed, developed, and operated ontact PBL for the first semester of 2021. As a result of diagnosing the realism of teaching and learning for students who took the class, the average teaching realism improved significantly by 0.95. This was found to be effective in improving the sense of realism in teaching as there were many related opinions in the reflective journal on students' classes. In addition, there was an effect on learning presence, and it was confirmed that emotional presence, which is a sub-element of learning presence, significantly improved by 0.7, social presence by 0.5, and cognitive presence by 0.6. Learning presence also confirmed the students' reflection on the class, and it was possible to judge that Ontact PBL was effective in improving the sense of presence.

For the purpose of enhancing the use of social service in classrooms, this research focuses on the relationships between presence and learning flow, key words in the analysis of college classes using Facebook. The results of this study are as follow. First, social presence(${\ss}=.33$, p=.000), emotional presence(${\ss}=.29$, p= .000), cognitive presence(${\ss}=.20$, p= .010) were found to be significant according to cognitive flow experience the result of analysis of multiple regression. all regression coefficients were positive. Second, emotional presence(${\ss}=.42$, p=.000) and social presence(${\ss}=.27$, p=.000), cognitive, presence(${\ss}=.17$, p=.015) were found to be significant according to emotional flow experience the result of analysis of multiple regression. all regression coefficients were positive. Third, social presence(${\ss}=.37$, p=.000) of the three variables were found to be significant according to behavioral flow experience the result of analysis of multiple regression.
The purpose of this study was to provide instructional implications for synchronous online learning at universities by examining variables that influence the outcome of synchronous online learning and investigating the relationships of the variables. To achieve the purpose, self-regulated learning, social presence, learning engagement and perceived academic achievement were measured by 123 university students who had taken synchronous online learning for spring semester in 2020. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS and SPSS PROCESS macro. The results were as follows. First, self-regulated learning and learning engagement significantly predicted perceived academic achievement while social presence did not. Second, self-regulated learning had a direct effect on perceived academic achievement and had an indirect effect on perceived academic achievement through learning engagement. Third, social presence did not have a direct effect on perceived academic achievement, but had an indirect effect on perceived academic achievement through learning engagement. The implications based on the results were suggested.
