In recent years, machine learning algorithms are continuously being used and expanded in various fields, such as facial recognition, signal processing, personal authentication, and stock prediction. In particular, various algorithms, such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, and Q-learning, are continuously being improved. Among these algorithms, the expansion of deep learning is rapidly changing. Nevertheless, machine learning algorithms have not yet been applied in several fields, such as personal authentication technology. This technology is an essential tool in the digital information era, walking recognition technology as promising biometrics, and technology for solving state-space problems. Therefore, algorithm technologies of deep learning, reinforcement learning, and Q-learning, which are typical machine learning algorithms in various fields, such as agricultural technology, personal authentication, wireless network, game, biometric recognition, and image recognition, are being improved and expanded in this paper.

Genetic algorithms are becoming more popular because of their relative simplicity and robustness. Genetic algorithms are global search techniques for nonlinear optimization. However, traditional genetic algorithms, though robust, are generally not the most successful optimization algorithm on any particular domain because they are poor at hill-climbing, whereas simulated annealing has the ability of probabilistic hill-climbing. Therefore, hybridizing a genetic algorithm with other algorithms can produce better performance than using the genetic algorithm or other algorithms independently. In this paper, we propose an efficient hybrid optimization algorithm named the adaptive random signal-based learning. Random signal-based learning is similar to the reinforcement learning of neural networks. This paper describes the application of genetic algorithms and simulated annealing to a random signal-based learning in order to generate the parameters and reinforcement signal of the random signal-based learning, respectively. The validity of the proposed algorithm is confirmed by applying it to two different examples.

Evolutionary algorithms are probabilistic optimization algorithms based on the model of natural evolution. Recently the efforts to improve the performance of evolutionary algorithms have been made extensively. In this paper, we introduce the research for improving the convergence rate and search faculty of evolution algorithms by using reinforcement learning. After providing an introduction to evolution algorithms and reinforcement learning, we present adaptive genetic algorithms, reinforcement genetic programming, and reinforcement evolution strategies which are combined with reinforcement learning. Adaptive genetic algorithms generate mutation probabilities of each locus by interacting with the environment according to reinforcement learning. Reinforcement genetic programming executes crossover and mutation operations based on reinforcement and inhibition mechanism of reinforcement learning. Reinforcement evolution strategies use the variances of fitness occurred by mutation to make the reinforcement signals which estimate and control the step length.

There are various algorithms in reinforcement learning, and the algorithm used differs depending on the field. Even in games, specific algorithms are used when developing AI (artificial intelligence) using reinforcement learning. Different algorithms have different learning methods, so artificial intelligence is created differently. Therefore, the developer has to choose the appropriate algorithm to implement the AI for the purpose. To do that, the developer needs to know the algorithm's learning method and which algorithms are effective for which AI. Therefore, this paper compares the learning methods of three algorithms, SAC, PPO, and POCA, which are algorithms used to implement game AI. These algorithms are practical to apply to which types of AI implementations.

Recently Machine Learning algorithms are widely used to process Big Data in various applications and a lot of these applications are executed in run time. Therefore the speed of Machine Learning algorithms is a critical issue in these applications. However the most of modern iteration Machine Learning algorithms use a successive iteration technique well-known in Numerical Linear Algebra. But this technique has a very low convergence, needs a lot of iterations to get solution of considering problems and therefore a lot of time for processing even on modern multi-core computers and clusters. Tchebychev iteration technique is well-known in Numerical Linear Algebra as an attractive candidate to decrease the number of iterations in Machine Learning iteration algorithms and also to decrease the running time of these algorithms those is very important especially in run time applications. In this paper we consider the usage of Tchebychev iterations for acceleration of well-known K-Means and SVM (Support Vector Machine) clustering algorithms in Machine Leaning. Some examples of usage of our approach on modern multi-core computers under Apache Spark framework will be considered and discussed.

Deep learning-based computer vision anomaly detection algorithms are widely utilized in various fields. Especially in the manufacturing industry, the difficulty in collecting abnormal data compared to normal data, and the challenge of defining all potential abnormalities in advance, have led to an increasing demand for unsupervised learning methods that rely on normal data. In this study, we conducted a comparative analysis of deep learning-based unsupervised learning algorithms that define and detect abnormalities that can occur when transparent contact lenses are immersed in liquid solution. We validated and applied the unsupervised learning algorithms used in this study to the existing anomaly detection benchmark dataset, MvTecAD. The existing anomaly detection benchmark dataset primarily consists of solid objects, whereas in our study, we compared unsupervised learning-based algorithms in experiments judging the shape and presence of lenses submerged in liquid. Among the algorithms analyzed, EfficientAD showed an AUROC and F1-score of 0.97 in image-level tests. However, the F1-score decreased to 0.18 in pixel-level tests, making it challenging to determine the locations where abnormalities occurred. Despite this, EfficientAD demonstrated excellent performance in image-level tests classifying normal and abnormal instances, suggesting that with the collection and training of large-scale data in real industrial settings, it is expected to exhibit even better performance.

Generally the analytical tools of data mining have two learning types which are supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms. Classification and prediction are main analysis tools for supervised learning. In this paper, we perform a comparison study of classification algorithms in data mining. We make comparative studies between popular classification algorithms which are LDA, QDA, kernel method, K-nearest neighbor, naive Bayesian, SVM, and CART. Also, we use almost all classification data sets of UCI machine learning repository for our experiments. According to our results, we are able to select proper algorithms for given classification data sets.

In this paper, we try to analyze two kinds of conventional neuro-fuzzy learning algorithms, which are widely used in recent fuzzy applications for tuning fuzzy rules, and give a summarization of their properties. Some of these properties show that uses of the conventional neuro-fuzzy learning algorithms are sometimes difficult or inconvenient for constructing an optimal fuzzy system model in practical fuzzy applications.
As the prevention of fatal accidents is considered an essential part of social responsibilities, both government and individual have devoted efforts to mitigate the unsafe conditions and behaviors that facilitate accidents. Several studies have analyzed the factors that cause fatal accidents and compared them to those of non-fatal accidents. However, studies on mathematical and systematic analysis techniques for identifying the features of fatal accidents are rare. Recently, various industrial fields have employed machine learning algorithms. This study aimed to apply machine learning algorithms for the classification of fatal and non-fatal accidents based on the features of each accident. These features were obtained by text mining literature on accidents. The classification was performed using four machine learning algorithms, which are widely used in industrial fields, including logistic regression, decision tree, neural network, and support vector machine algorithms. The results revealed that the machine learning algorithms exhibited a high accuracy for the classification of accidents into the two categories. In addition, the importance of comparing similar cases between fatal and non-fatal accidents was discussed. This study presented a method for classifying accidents using machine learning algorithms based on the reports on previous studies on accidents.

Reinforcement learning can be applied to a wide variety of problems. However, the fundamental limitation of reinforcement learning is that it is difficult to derive an answer within a given time because the problems in the real world are too complex. Then, with the development of neural network technology, research on deep reinforcement learning that combines deep learning with reinforcement learning is receiving lots of attention. In this paper, two types of neural networks are combined with reinforcement learning and their characteristics were compared and analyzed with existing value-based reinforcement learning algorithms. Two types of neural networks are FNN and CNN, and existing reinforcement learning algorithms are SARSA and Q-learning.
