  • In this paper, fabricated is a motion capture and attitude detection system for Head Mounted Display HMD composed of three low-price and low-grade micro gyroscopes and a micro-controller, To calculate attitude of a body, modified INS algorithm is used. Because the micro gyroscope has much bias drift error, scale factor error, and run-to-run bias error, the motion of a body can not be measured exactly if the general INS algorithm and micro gyroscopes are used. To reduce the errors, three accelerometers can be used. In this case, however, the size and power consumption become too large to use in HMD system. The modified INS algorithm use the grid map and the characteristics of the human motions.

  • The satellite communication has been widely applied in the various fields included the remote monitoring and control system through the technical progress. In the star network that is a type of the satellite communication network, users can easily use an earth station because of the large scale and high power of the hub station. This type has many profits which are flexible of network configuration, and can conveniently and inexpensively supply various services which is used in the data acquisition and distribution by important communication means for construction of information society. Using these profits, the satellite communication system is applied to the unmaned remote operation field for the remote control and monitor of the water treatment plants But, ...

  • Machining route selection to produce parts should be based on shop flow information because of input data at scheduling tasks and is one of the main problem in process planning. This paper addresses the problem of machining route selection in multi-stage process with machine group included a similar function. The model proposed is formulated as 0-1 integer programing considering the relation of parts and machine table size, avaliable time of each machine for planning period, and delivery date. The objective of the model is to minimize the sum of processing, transportation, and setup time for all parts. Genetic algorithm approach is developed to solve this model. The efficiency of the approach is examined in comparison with the method of branch and bound technique for the same problem. Also, this paper is to solve large problem scale and provide it if the multiple machining routes are existed an optimal solution.

  • It has come to attention that a risk-assessing organization, that will benchmark a company's safety department, is imperative, following an increase in large-scale SOC-business project, construction of higher-raised buildings, development of underground space; all that have increase accident rates. Having faced problems that arise in firms that demand diversity, complexity and instantaneity, the purpose of the thesis is to arrive at efficient and practical problem-solving means. In order to solve the problems that would surface theoretically during an actual risk assessment, the state of the operation systems of the top five national construction firms having a hazard rate of 0.25 times less than the average rate have been analyzed, while a hierarchal recognition research of the employees who not only function at the operating level but are the practice subjects of a firm, has also been conducted, bringing the main text.

  • Magnetic transmission soft X-ray microscopy has been used to study element-specifically the magnetization reversal behavior of ${(Co_{84}Cr_{16})}_{87}Pt_{l3}$ alloy thin films with a lateral resolution of 35 nm. Our results indicate that the magnetization switching is carried out by a random nucleation process that can be attributed to the reversal of individual grains. We found evidence of a large distribution of the switching fields at the nanogranular length scale, which has to be considered seriously for applications of CoCrPt systems as magnetic high density storage materials.

  • Video captioning refers to the process of extracting features from a video and generating video captions using the extracted features. This paper introduces a deep neural network model and its learning method for effective video captioning. In this study, visual features as well as semantic features, which effectively express the video, are also used. The visual features of the video are extracted using convolutional neural networks, such as C3D and ResNet, while the semantic features are extracted using a semantic feature extraction network proposed in this paper. Further, an attention-based caption generation network is proposed for effective generation of video captions using the extracted features. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed model is verified through various experiments using two large-scale video benchmarks such as the Microsoft Video Description (MSVD) and the Microsoft Research Video-To-Text (MSR-VTT).

  • In this paper, we propose a distributed fusion estimation for sensor networks using a receding horizon strategy. Communication channels were modelled as Markov jump systems, and a posterior probability distribution for communication channel characteristics was calculated and incorporated into the filter to allow distributed fusion estimation to handle path loss observation situations automatically. To implement distributed fusion estimation, a Kalman-Consensus filter was then used to obtain the average consensus, based on the estimates of sensors randomly distributed across sensor networks. The advantages of the proposed algorithms were then verified using a large-scale sensor network example.

  • In time division duplex (TDD)-based multiuser massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, the uplink channel is estimated and the results are used in downlink for signal detection. Owing to noisy uplink channel estimation, the downlink channel should also be estimated for accurate signal detection. Therefore, recently, a blind method was developed, which assumes the use of a linear high-power amplifier (HPA) in the base station (BS). In this study, we extend this method to a scenario with a nonlinear HPA in the BS, where the Bussgang decomposition is used for HPA modeling. In the proposed method, the average power of the received signal for each user is a function of channel gain, large-scale fading, and nonlinear distortion variance. Therefore, the channel gain is estimated, which is required for signal detection. The performance of the proposed method is analyzed theoretically. The simulation results show superior performance of the proposed method compared to that of the other methods in the literature.

  • Viscoelastic fluid is used in various industrial sites because its cost reduction and environmental benefits by preventing formation of fine droplets that scattered around. However, viscoelastic fluids, unlike newtonian fluids, contain a shear thinning characteristic that decrease in viscosity as shear rate increases and elastic characteristic, making it difficult to predict spray breakup process. In this study we made three test fluids. Boger fluid with viscoelastic characteristics, and two newtonian fluids, were prepared to exclude shear thinning characteristics and study the effects of elastic characteristic only. Flow visualization, spray angle, and SMD were measured for three test fluids using laboratory scale impinging jet test apparatus. As a result, it was confirmed that Boger fluid, unlike the newtonian fluid, was not formed fine droplets that scattered around and the breakup process appeared differently. In addition, SMD was found to be large in Boger fluid, and the SMD according to pressure was confirmed that there is no significant difference.
