  • The demand for natural gas, which is considered an environmentally friendly energy source, is increasing, and at the same time, the market share of large pipelines for natural gas supply is increasing continuously. On the other hand, the corrosion of such large pipelines reduces the efficiency of natural gas transportation. Therefore, this study aims to establish a strategy for securing the patent rights of related technologies through quantitative analysis of patents on energy-independent high-efficiency corrosion prevention technology for large-scale pipelines for natural gas supply. In this patent technology trend study, Korean, US, Japanese, and European patents filed, published, and registered by June 2018 were analyzed, and a technical classification system and classification criteria were prepared through expert discussion. To use fuel cells as an external power source to prevent the corrosion of natural gas large-scale pipelines, it is believed that rights can be claimed using an energy control system and methods having 1) branch structures of pipeline and facility designs (decompressor/compressor/heat exchanger) and 2) decompression/preheating and pressurization/cooling technology of high pressure natural gas.

  • Reckless development policy, which has continued during the past several decades, caused landscape damage. In order to solve this problem, it is very urgent to conserve the habitat and to establish systematic database. Recently, various researches related to landscape damage have been conducted actively and the necessity of landscape ecological planning based on the biotop mapping has been issued as one of the solutions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to select the study area, which is located in Guji-meon, Dalseong-gun, Daegu and will be formed into Daegu Science Park, and then to develop and apply the landscape ecological planning model based on biotop mapping in district unit. The results are as follows. Fist of all, according to the results of biotop classification with field survey and literature review, total 13 biotop and total 63 biotop types were classified. According to the first evaluation with B-VAT, total 19 biotop types were classified I grade including natural river with abundant plants(BA) and so on. While V grade, which has lowest value, was classified 16 biotop types including vegetable garden adjacent to river(BC). Also the second evaluation, we analyzed total 30 areas such as 1a, 1b grades, which had special meaning for the conservation of species and biotop. Next, 2a, 2b, 2c grades were analyzed total 82 areas. Secondly, in the compliance with Ecological landscape planning, we divided landscape planning model into two parts such as setting of improvement goal and detailed implement plan. For instance, setting of improvement goal, we classified 9 parts such as conservation region and parts of detailed implement plan, we classified total 28 planning indicators with 4 view such as the region which should be special protected from nature and landscape. Lastly, with the developed landscape model we applied to research areas, made maps, and differentiate proposals in each region. Specially, the final master plan was made to help understand the contents of detailed landscape planning. This study will be a useful data, which can solve the landscape damage problem systematically and control it landscape-friendly with biotop classification, evaluation, landscape ecological planning model, and application method which we developed.

  • The selection of land for fishing village development project, and the standard used to classify fishing villages has been determined based on the guidelines developed by fishing village cooperatives. The approach fishing village cooperatives follows is likely to classify fishing villages without first reflecting on the overall development environment of the region, such as other industries and workers in the area. It also acts as a barrier for business promotion or evaluation, because the cooperatives do not match the administrative districts, which are the units of administration, and the main policy enforcement agent in regional development. Against this background, this study aimed to identify categories to situate the development direction, as well as the size and distribution of fishing villages based on eup, myeon, and dong administrative units as defined by the Fishing Villages and Fishery Harbors Act. This study was based on the Census of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of 2010, and analyzed 826 eups, myeon, and dongs with fishery households using the principal component analysis, and 2-Step cluster analysis methods. Therefore, 95% of the variance was explained using the covariance matrix for types of fishing villages, but it was analyzed as one component focusing on the number and ratio of fishery households, and used the cluster-type analysis, which focused on the sizes of fishing villages. The clusters were categorized into three types: (1) the development type based on the number of fishermen in the eups, myeons and dongs was analyzed as village size (682); (2) administrative district size (121); and (3) total eups, myeons and dongs (23), which revealed that the size of most fishing villages was small. We could explain 73% of the variance using the correlation coefficient matrix, which was divided into three types according to the three principal component scores, namely fishery household power, fishery industry power, and fishing village tourism power. Most fishing villages did not have a clear development direction because all business areas within the region were diversified, and 552 regions could be categorized under the harmonious development type, which is in need of balanced development. The fishery industry type typified by industrial strength included 159 regions in need of an approach based on industrialization of fishery product processing. Specialized production areas, which specialized in producing fishery products, were 115 regions with a high percentage of fishermen. The analysis results indicated that various situations in terms of size and development of fishing villages existed. However, because several regions exist in the form of small village units, it was necessary to approach the project in a manner that directed the diversification of regional development projects, such as places for local residents to relax or enjoy tourism experiences within the region, while considering the overall conditions of the relevant eups, myeons, and dongs. Reinforcement of individual support for fishermen based on the Fisheries Act must take precedence over providing support for fishermen through regional development. In addition, it is necessary to approach the development of fishing villages by focusing on industrializing the processing techniques of fishery products. Areas specialized in the production of fishery products are required to consider the facilities for fisheries production, and must make efforts to increase fishery resources, such as releasing fry.

  • This study is concerned with the identification of the concepts and characteristics of the traditional access of small scale fishery and traditional small scale fishery based on the classification of fisheries under Fisheries Law, As we called, these fisheries are the small scale of artisanal fisheries. These traditional small scale of artisanal fisheries have been developed throughout the most coastal fisheries but have never been included the institutional fishery system and policy since industrial fisheries have been exploited. By this reason there was no studies to understand and identify these fisheries as fisheries under category of institutional fishery system. Recently by the Fisheries Law, my Person who desires to operate these fisheries, shall report to the provincial governor and then these fisheries were incorporated into the category of fisheries to be reported. But this case of the administrative practices should be not consistent with the classification of fisheries under Fisheries Law. The traditional access of small scale fishery is a derivative concept of fishery categories under the institutional fakery system Because this fishery under institutional fishery system can not be establish the right of fishing by fishery right system technically but the right of fishing is supported by the fishing access system only. Therefore, It is a mistake for the provincial fishery governor to adopt such a policy that the fishing right of the traditional access of small scale fishery which is different from the fishing based right is restricted by the factors of fisheries to be reported. On the other hand the traditional small scale fishery is coincident with the traditional access of small scale fishery and the common fishery under the style of utilization of fishing gear and fishing gear and methods. But this fishery has never been included the fishery categories supported by the government subsidy policies and considerations and has been remained with indifference during the last few decades. Anyhow the fishing right of these fisheries have been assured under the institutional fishery system, any person who desires to operate this fishery should have a fishing right against the public or private uses of fishing ground such as land reclamations and other coastal zone development. A deprivation of the fishing right of this fishery by the conflicts of these public and private uses of fishing ground is not regarded as appropriate according to the social welfare policy. Also it is the administrative expediency to support the fishing right of this fishery under the fisheries lobe reported.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the characteristics of geomorphic surfaces and investigate their geomorphological development at Sinsong-ri archaeological sites by the classification of geomorphic surfaces. The sedimentary facies of trench 1, 2 and 3 were identified and pollen analysis was performed at site 3. The geomorphic surfaces are classified by hillslope, valley plain, alluvial fan and river terrace. Most of the study area is located on low hillsides and valley plains are connected with tidal flats extended from small river valley. Also, alluvial fans are distributed over the piedmont and narrow, long river terraces are developed downstream along the Sojeong-stream flowing between valley plain and hillsides. River valleys were deeply eroded during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) periods, responded to the lowest sea level among the hillslopes and valley plains are formed during the Holocene. The sedimentary facies are identified composed of basal gravel layers with coarse gravels and sands, relatively thick culture layer of the Bronze Age and thin layer during the early Iron Age in upper part study area. Thus, land uses during the Bronze Age people was performed more intensively comparing to the early Iron Age by deforestation for habitation.

  • This study identified characteristics of households in Seo Geumsa based on factors related to how well each household understood and agreed or disagreed with the Newtown project and the resettlement process that is required to establish the renewal promotion plan. To this end, the authors applied the unit of spatial analysis developed by Tong, segmented the land intended for large-scale development, and then developed a method for analyzing and comparing the segmented lands by certain characteristics. The results of the survey were analyzed in three stages: the characteristics of districts; the relationships between agreement and disagreement factors and differences among segmented districts. And, to assess districts with features that differed from the overall features of households in renewal districts, the authors developed a two-way stage division plan and conducted a cluster analysis. The authors analyzed districts with individual characteristics based on the household features developed by Tong, and then analyzed the features of household distribution in these districts along with spatial location.

  • Rainfall infiltration through the unsaturated zone is influenced by a range of factors including topography, geology, soil, rainfall intensity, temperature and vegetation; the actual infiltration varies largely in time and space. The infiltration capacity of soil is a critical factor in identifying groundwater recharge and leakage of surface water. It may differ depending on soil types and geological features of a particular basin or territory as well as on the usage of the land. This study was conducted in forest and farmland region of the mid-mountain area (EL. 50~300 m) of Jeju Island to test soil infiltration capacity of the area where rainfall contributes to groundwater. Results were analyzed using the four soil group classification methods presented by Jeong et al. (1995) and NAS (2007) to discover that the method offered by NAS (2007) is more reliable in the mid-mountain area of Jeju Island. The study compares and reviews the existing classification methods using the results of infiltration capacity tests executed on different soil groups throughout the whole region of the Jeju mid-mountain area. It is expected that this work will serve as a guideline for evaluating surface water recharge and hydraulic characteristics of Jeju Island.

  • In these days, as cyberspace has been recognized as the fifth battlefield area following the land, sea, air, and space, attention has been focused on activities that view cyberspace as an operational and mission domain in earnest. Also, in the 21st century, cyber operations based on cyberspace are being developed as a 4th generation warfare method. In such an environment, the success of the operation is determined by the commander's decision. Therefore, in order to increase the rationality and objectivity of such decision-making, it is necessary to systematically establish and select a course of action (COA). In this study, COA is established by using the method of classifying operational elements necessary for cyber operation, and it is intended to suggest a direction for quantitative evaluation of COA. To this end, we propose a method of composing the COES (Cyber Operational Elements Set), which becomes the COA of operation, and classifying the cyber operational elements identified in the target development process based on the 5W1H Method. In addition, by applying the proposed classification method to the cyber operation elements used in the STUXNET attack case, the COES is formed to establish the attack COAs. Finally, after prioritizing the established COA, quantitative evaluation of the policy was performed to select the optimal COA.

  • In hydrological surveys, observation through representative location is essential due to temporal and spatial limitations and constraints. Regarding the use of hydrological data and the accuracy of the data, there are still insufficient observatories to be used in a specific watershed. In addition, since there is virtually no standard for the location of the current evapotranspiration, this study proposes a method for determining the location of the evapotranspiration. To determining the location of evapotranspiration, a grid is selected in consideration of the operating range of the Flux Tower using the eddy covariance measurement method, which is mainly used to measure evapotranspiration. The grid of representative location was calculated using the factors affecting evapotranspiration and satellite data of evapotranspiration. The grid of representative location was classified as good, fair, and poor. As a result, the number of good grids calculated was 54. It is judged that the classification of the grid has been achieved regarding topography and land use as a characteristic that appeared in the classification of the grid. In particular, in the case of elevation or city area, there was a large deviation, and the calculated good grid was judged to be a group between the two distributions.
