N-도데카노실-N-메틸 아미도 폴리올 카르복시 알킬 에테르/(N-도데카노실-N-알킬 글루카민)/물계에서의 상거동 관찰 (Investigations of the Phase Behavior of N-dodecanocyl-N-methyl amido polyol carboxyl alkyl ether/N-dodecanocyl-N-alkyl Glucamine/Water System)

  • N-도데카노닐-N-메틸 아미도 폴리올 카르복시알킬 에테르(DGC)/N-도데카노실-N-알킬글루카민(DG)/물 혼합계에서의 상도를 편광현미경, 시차주사열량계(DSC) 및 레올로지를 이용하여 관찰하였다. 편광현미경으로 계면활성제 농도와 온도의 함수로써 얻어지는 액정상의 형태를 관찰할 수 있었고, DSC측정에 의해서는 비등방성 액정과 등방성 액체 사이의 상전이를 관찰할 수 있었다. 헥사고날과 라멜라 액정상 사이에서 레올로지에 의해 측정된 계면활성제 수용액의 점탄성은 편광현미경과 시차주사열량계에서 얻은 결과와 일치됨을 확인할 수 있었다. DGC/DG(5:5 몰비)/물계의 상에 대하여 조사한 결과, 25${\sim}$65wt% 사이에서는 큐빅 액정상, 70wt% 이상에서는 라멜라 액정상이 나타남을 알 수 있었다.

Development and Evaluation of Non-Hydrous Skin Analogue Liquid Crystal using Thermo-Sensitivity Smart Sensor

  • In this study, skin permeation enhancement was confirmed by designing it to have a structure and composition similarity to the intercellular lipids that improve miscibility with skin by cross-linked lipids poloxamer. The cross-linked lipids poloxamer was synthesized and analyzed by 1H NMR that structure dose had conjugated pluronic with ceramide3. Active component is released by modification of liquid crystal structure because PPO part, large-scale molecule block of pluronic, has hydrophobic nature at skin temperature of $35^{\circ}C$. Conjugated pluronic with ceramide3 was synthesized using Pluronic F127 and p-NPC (4-nitrophenyl chloroformate) at room temperature yielded 89%. Pluronic(Ceramide 3-conjugated Pluronic) was synthesized by reaction of p-NP-Pluronic with Ceramide3 and DMAP. The yield was 51%. This cross-linked lipids poloxamer was blended and dissolved at isotropic state with skin surface lipids, phospholipid, ceramide, cholesterol and anhydrous additive solvent. Next step was preceded by ${\alpha}$-Transition at low temperature for making the structure of Meso-Phase Lamella, and non-hydrous skin analogue liquid crystal using thermo-sensitivity smart sensor, lamellar liquid crystal structure through aging time. For confirmation of conjugation thermo-sensitivity smart sensor and non-hydrous skin analogue liquid crystal, structural observation and stability test were performed using XRD(Xray Diffraction), DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimetry), PM (Polarized Microscope) And C-SEM (Cryo-Scanning Electron Microscope). Thermo-sensitivity observation by Franz cell revealed that synthesized smart sensor shown skin permeation effect over 75% than normal liquid crystal. Furthermore, normal non-hydrous skin analogue liquid crystal that not applied smart sensor shown similar results below $35^{\circ}C$ of skin temperature, but its effects has increased more than 30% above $35^{\circ}C$.

  • 블록 공중합체/단일중합체 블렌드에서 단일중합체의 농도와 분자량 변화에 따른 단일중합체의 분포 경향을 알아 보았다. 중수소화 폴리(메틸 메타크릴레이트) 또는 폴리스티렌을 중수소화 폴리스티렌-폴리(메틸 메타크릴레이트) 이중 블록 공중합체에 20 wt%까지 혼입하였다. 시료들은 소각 X-선 산란, 중성자 반사율 및 투과 전자 현미경으로 조사하였다. 실리콘 웨이퍼에 스핀 코팅하여 얇은 필름 상으로 제조한 블록 공중합체는 기질 표면에 대해 평행하게 배향된 라멜라 모폴로지를 형성하였다. 블록 공중합체의 미세 도메인 구조는 단일중합체의 부가에 의해 상당히 교란되었다. 그 결과로 단일중합체의 농도가 15 wt% 이상인 경우에는 배열 질서도가 낮은 라멜라 모폴로지가 나타났다. 단일공중합체의 농도나 분자량이 증가하면 단일중합체가 미세 도메인을 불균일하게 팽윤시키면서 보다 많은 단일중합체가 미세 도메인의 중앙 부위로 이동하였다.

열간가공된 γ-TiAl 합금의 미세조직 제어 및 기계적 특성 평가 (Microstructure Control and Tensile Property Measurements of Hot-deformed γ-TiAl alloy)

  • The microstructural features and texture development by both hot rolling and hot forging in ${\gamma}-TiAl$ alloy were investigated. In addition, additional heat treatment after hot forging was conducted to recognize change of the microstructure and texture evolution. The obtained microstructural features through dynamic recrystallization after hot deformed ${\gamma}-TiAl$ were quite different because two kinds of formation process were occurred depending on deformation condition. However, analyzed texture tends to be random orientation due to intermediate annealing up to ${\alpha}+{\beta}$ region during the hot deformation process. After additional heat treatment, microstructure transformed into fully lamellar microstructure and randomly oriented texture was also observed due to the same reason as before. Tensile test at room temperature demonstrated that anisotropy of mechanical properties were not appeared and transgranular fracture was occurred between interface of ${\alpha}_2/{\gamma}$. As a result, it could be suggested that microstructural features influenced much more than texture development on mechanical properties at room temperature.

Mg-Al 합금에서 등온 시효 중 경도 변화의 미세조직 의존성 (Dependence of Hardness Change on Microstructure during Isothermal Aging in Mg-Al Alloy)

  • This study is intended to clarify the main microstructural factors that contribute to an increase of hardness during isothermal aging in Mg-Al alloy. For this work, Mg-9.3%Al alloy specimens were solution-treated at 688 K for 24 h followed by water quenching, and then aged at 473 K for up to 24 h. The aging at 473 K yielded nodular discontinuous precipitates (DPs) with (${\alpha}+{\beta}$) lamellar morphology at the grain boundaries, and the volume fraction of DPs increased from 0% to ~30% with increasing aging time up to 12 h. For the aging times longer than 12 h, further formation of DPs was substantially inhibited owing to the occurrence of significant continuous precipitation within the ${\alpha}-(Mg)$ matrix, and the density of continuous precipitates (CPs) becomes greater with increasing aging time. Hardness of the specimen was steadily increased with aging time up to 24 h. Microstructural examination on the aged specimens revealed that the increased overall hardness at the early stage of aging is associated with the increased volume fraction of DPs, but at the later stage of aging, where the amount of DPs was hardly changed, the increased hardness of the ${\alpha}-(Mg)$ matrix in response to the higher density of CPs within the matrix, plays a key role in increasing the overall hardness value.

Skin care 화장료로서 단상형 액정조성물의 제조 및 응용 (The Preparation and Application of Lamella Liquid Crystal to Skin Care Product)

  • 비이온 계면활성제, 다가알코올, 물과 오일을 사용하여 단상형 액정 조성물을 제조하였고 이에 대한 물리적 성질을 조사하였다. 소수성기가 Y 형인 비이온 계면활성제인 POE octyldodecyl ether series와 친수성기가 Y 형인 POE glyceryl monostearate series가 2:1로 혼합한 계면활성제 system에 다과알코올이 혼합됨에 따른 상의 변화를 관찰하여 본 결과 7:3, 6:4, 5:5 인 비율에서 라멜라 백정상의 구조(In)가 잘 발현됨을 보여 주었으며, 상기 비율에 유성성분의 함량에 따른 라멜라 액정상의 발현을 관찰한 결과 계면활성제의 친수성이 높고, 계면활성제와 화가알코올의 비가 7:3인 system 011서 상대적으로 높은 오일을 함유한 라멜라 백정구조 형성이 가능함을 확인하였다. 전상이 되지 않은 상태로 라멜라 백정조성물의 친수성 층011 수분의 함유 정도를 관찰하여 본 결과 제조된 라멜라 액정조성물은 25 - 40% 정도의 수분을 라멜라 층간에 함유할 수 있음을 확인하였고, 백정조성물의 피부 도포 시에 우수한 피부 수분 함유 효과를 보여 주었다.

고질소 2상 스테인리스강의 고온 석출거동 (High Temperature Precipitation Behavior of High-Nitrogen Duplex Stainless Steel)

  • Precipitation behavior of high-nitrogen duplex Fe-24Cr-7Mn-4Ni-4Mo-0.43N stainless steel aged at $850^{\circ}C$ was investigated using scanning transmission electron microscopy. Based on the analyses of selected area diffraction patterns, four kinds of precipitates (intermetallic sigma (${\sigma}$) and chi (${\chi}$), $Cr_2N$ and secondary austenite) were identified. At the ferrite/austenite phase boundary, the ${\sigma}$ phase and secondary austenite were formed via ${\alpha}{\rightarrow}{\gamma}+{\sigma}$ eutectoid reaction. The precipitation of $Cr_2N$ occurred at the austenite grain boundary as well as the interior of the ferrite. The intermetallic ${\chi}$ phase also formed within the ferrite and showed a cube-cube orientation relationship with the ferrite. Further aging produced a lamellar structure composed of $Cr_2N$ and austenite along the ferrite/austenite boundary and enhanced the precipitation of the ${\chi}$ phase. The crystallographic features of the precipitates were also examined in terms of the orientation relationship with the austenite or ferrite matrix.

갑옷문화원형 재현을 통한 문화콘텐츠 활용에 대한 연구 - 경주 재매정 출토 갑옷을 중심으로 - (A study on the utilization of cultural contents through the reproduction of the armor culture archetype - Focusing on armor excavated in Jaemaejeong, Gyeongju -)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the structure and characteristics for the reproduction of the armor in the Unified Silla period, and then reproduce and utilize it as a cultural content. In the armor reproduction project excavated from Jaemaejeong, Gyeongju. Jaemaejeong armor is consisting of Singap (身甲, body armor), Sanggap (裳甲, hip armor), and Sangbakgap (上膊甲, upper arm armor) at the time of excavation. Unlike the armor of the Three Kingdoms period, Singap and Sanggap are separated. Singap is Yangdangsik (裲襠式, side opening method) and Gyunggap (頸甲, gorget) was not unearthed, Sangbakgap was divided into a part that protects the left and right upper arms and a part that protects the chest, so that the unexcavated head and neck cover of the helmet can be protected to the shoulder. In addition, in the case of Chalgap (札甲, lamellar armor), the Oejungsik (外重式, folded from outside to inside) is mainly used, but it is peculiar that Naejungsik (內重式, folded from inside to outside) is used in Sangbakgap of Jaemaejeong armor. It is presumed that this was used as a method to ensure that the armor were closely attached to the human body. In order to design with the parade armor of Gochwidae in Gyeongju based on the reproduced Jaemaejeong armor, the designer's imagination and historical work of the times were involved due to the characteristics of performance costumes. Reproduced armor as a cultural content should be considered indispensable to simplify and lighten clothing suitable for performances based on the excavated historical armor.

Morphology and histology of the olfactory organ of two African lungfishes, Protopterus amphibius and P. dolloi (Lepidosirenidae, Dipnoi)

  • The olfactory organs of two African lungfishes, Protopterus amphibius and P. dolloi, were investigated using a stereo microscope and a compound light microscope and were described anatomically, histologically, and histochemically. Like other lungfishes, these species present the following general features: i) elongated olfactory chamber (OC), ii) anterior nostril at the ventral tip of the upper lip, iii) posterior nostril on the palate of the oral cavity, iv) lamellae with multiple cell types such as olfactory receptor neurons, supporting cells, basal cells, lymphatic cells, and mucous cells (MC), and vi) vomero-like epithelial crypt (VEC) made of glandular epithelium (GE) and crypt sensory epithelium. Some of these features exhibit differences between species: MCs are abundant in both the lamellar and inner walls of the OC in P. amphibius but occur only in lamellae in P. dolloi. On the other hand, some between feature differences are consistent across species: the GE of both P. amphibius and P. dolloi is strongly positive for Alcian blue (pH 2.5)-periodic acid Schiff (deep violet coloration), and positive with hematoxylin and eosin and with Masson's trichrome (reddish-brown staining), unlike the MCs of the two species which stain dark red with both Alcian blue (pH 2.5)-periodic acid Schiff and Masson's trichrome but respond faintly to hematoxylin and eosin. The differing abundance of MCs in the two lungfishes might reflect different degrees in aerial exposure of the olfactory organ, while the neutral and acid mucopolysaccharide-containing VEC, as indicated by staining properties of the MCs, is evolutionary evidence that P. amphibius and P. dolloi are the closest living relatives to tetrapods, at least in the order Dipnoi.

플라즈마 아크 용해 공정으로 자발합성된 질화알루미늄 강화 알루미늄기지 복합재료의 개발 (Fabrication of Aluminum Nitride Reinforced Aluminum Matrix Composites via Plasma Arc Melting under Nitrogen Atmosphere)

  • 본 연구에서는 질화알루미늄을 강화재로 갖는 알루미늄기지 복합재료를 질소 분위기에서의 아크용해 공정을 통해 제조하였다. 알루미늄과 질소 원자의 화학반응을 1분간 유지시켰을 때, 중간층과 라멜라층으로 구분되는 질화알루미늄 강화상이 자발적으로 알루미늄 용탕 내부에 형성되어 기지 전반에 분포되었다. 복합재료는 약 10 vol.%의 AlN을 가지며, 이 강화재는 계면에서 낮은 열저항과 강한 결합을 보였다. 제조된 복합재료는 열전도도가 높고 열팽창계수는 낮은 열적 특성 조합을 보였다. 또한, 본 연구의 복합재료는 이종원소인 실리콘을 기지에 첨가함으로써 열팽창계수를 추가적으로 감소시키는 것이 가능했다. 이는 아크 용해법으로 제조된 알루미늄기지 복합재료가 낮은 열팽창계수를 요구하는 방열소재로 적용될 수 있는 가능성을 시사한다.
