The purpose of this study was to suggest strategies for effective food allergen labeling in order to prevent food allergies in school meal service. Food allergy experience, eating behavior, and perceptions of food allergen labeling in school meal service were surveyed and compared according to the food allergy experiences of middle school girls in Incheon. Seventy-eight students (17% of total subjects) experienced food allergies. For eating behaviors, students with food allergy experience had significantly higher scores for using nutritional knowledge in their life than inexperienced subjects. For the perception of food allergen labeling in school meal service, girls who had experienced food allergies more often checked labeling of school meals for allergenic foods than those who had no experience of food allergies (P<0.001). The most desirable method for displaying allergenic foods was an indication of the allergenic food name among students who had experienced food allergies and allergenic food number of the current method for students who had not experienced food allergies (P<0.001). Students who had not experienced food allergies showed significantly lower interest in food allergen labeling than subjects who had experienced food allergies (P<0.001). For the importance score of information items in nutrition labeling, allergenic food score was significantly higher in students who had experienced food allergies (3.9 vs. 3.4 points, P<0.001). These results indicate that students who have experienced food allergies are more interested in food allergen labeling of school meals and that they are more aware. Efforts to improve labeling method such as directly labeling allergenic food name and a more visible indication are required for efficient utilization of food allergen labeling in school meal service.
We propose a new 3 dimensional labeling method based on slice information for the volume data. This method is named SIL (Slice Information based Labeling). Compare to the conventional algorithms, it has advantages that the use of memory is efficient and it Is possible to combine with a variety of 2 dimensional labeling algorithms for finding an appropriate labeling algorithm to its application. In this study, we applied SIL to confocal microscopy images of cervix cancer cell and compared the results of labeling. According to the measurement, we found that the speed of Sd combined with, CCCL (Contour based Connected Component Labeling) is almost 2 times higher than that of other methods. In conclusion, considering that the performance of labeling depends on a kind of image, we obtained that the proposed method provide better result for the confocal microscopy cell volume data.
XML has become the new standard for storing, exchanging, and publishing of data over both the internet and the ubiquitous data stream environment. As demand for efficiency in handling XML document grows, labeling scheme has become an important topic in data storage. Recently proposed labeling schemes reflect the dynamic XML environment, which itself provides motivation for the discovery of an efficient labeling scheme. However, previous proposed labeling schemes have several problems: 1) An insertion of a new node into the XML document triggers re-labeling of pre-existing nodes. 2) They need larger memory space to store total label. etc. In this paper, we introduce a new labeling scheme called a Circle Labeling Scheme. In CLS, XML documents are represented in a circular form, and efficient storage of labels is supported by the use of concepts Rotation Number and Parent Circle/Child Circle. The concept of Radius is applied to support inclusion of new nodes at arbitrary positions in the tree. This eliminates the need for re-labeling existing nodes and the need to increase label length, and mitigates conflict with existing labels. A detailed experimental study demonstrates efficiency of CLS.
This study was accomplished to investigate the recognition and the using practices about food-nutrition labeling system of 20's consumers. Two hundred and fifty-four man and women were examined using the questionnaire. The results were as follows. 1. The degree of recognition of subjects about food-nutrition labeling system was low (43.3%) and the using practices were even lower (18.1%). 2. The items considered as important were in the order of shelf life, manufactured date and cost. 3. The confidence score to the food-nutrition labeling system of consumers was 3.2 and was higher in the females compared to males. 4. The preferred method of food-nutrition labeling was in the order of picture and graphic type method, table type method and descriptive type method. 5. The expected effects of the current food-nutrition labeling system were easy to select foods for the prevention of the adult diseases and diet therapy. From these results, we might propose the conclusion as follows: Food-nutrition labeling system might be a good source of nutrition information and the consumers'demand for disease-prevention and dietary purpose. Therefore, the agencies concerned should make an every effort for the successful implementation of food-nutrition labeling system.
Let D be a directed graph with p vertices and q arcs. A vertex out-magic total labeling is a bijection f from $V(D){\cup}A(D){\rightarrow}\{1,2,{\ldots},p+q\}$ with the property that for every $v{\in}V(D)$, $f(v)+\sum_{u{\in}O(v)}f((v,u))=k$, for some constant k. Such a labeling is called a V-super vertex out-magic total labeling (V-SVOMT labeling) if $f(V(D))=\{1,2,3,{\ldots},p\}$. A digraph D is called a V-super vertex out-magic total digraph (V-SVOMT digraph) if D admits a V-SVOMT labeling. In this paper, we provide a method to find the most vital nodes in a network by introducing the above labeling and we study the basic properties of such labelings for digraphs. In particular, we completely solve the problem of finding V-SVOMT labeling of generalized de Bruijn digraphs which are used in the interconnection network topologies.
Purpose - This research is to review the state of standard labeling compliance and identify the factors that are conducive to compliance with the Labeling Standards of the Health Functional Foods Act in internet distribution. Research design, data, and methodology - We checked 9 labels including product name, expiration date, manufacturing date, raw material, ingredient, operative dose, nutritional information, daily intake, and functional effect which are based on Labeling Standards of the Act from 100 health functional foods in the internet shopping malls. These 9 structure & function claims were compared using a Chi-square test. Results - There was a statistically significant difference in the use of standard labeling between domestic product and imported products (p<.001). The related strength between these two variables showed a moderate effect size. Also, there was a statistically significant difference between accredited advertising/unaccredited advertising distinction and use of standard labeling (p<.001). The related strength between these two variables showed a moderate effect size. Conclusions - The Labeling Standards of the Act were not followed and found to be related to imports or unauthorized advertising in internet distribution. The information displayed according to the Labeling Standards was only about 2 on the average, so many labels have been posted unreadably without arrangement.
Semantic role labeling (SRL) systems determine the semantic role labels of the arguments of predicates in natural language text. An SRL system usually needs to perform four tasks in sequence: Predicate Identification (PI), Predicate Classification (PC), Argument Identification (AI), and Argument Classification (AC). In this paper, we use the Korean Propbank to develop our Korean semantic role labeling system. We describe our Korean semantic role labeling system that uses sequence labeling with structured Support Vector Machine (SVM). The results of our experiments on the Korean Propbank dataset reveal that our method obtains a 97.13% F1 score on Predicate Identification and Classification (PIC), and a 76.96% F1 score on Argument Identification and Classification (AIC).
The present study was carried out to determine viral antigens and its morphogenesis in the ultrathin frozen and araldite sections of cell cultures infected with ADV by protein A-gold labeling. ADV antigens were labeled with 10nm gold probes, and electron-dense gold particles were mainly present on viral nucleocapsids and viral envelopes. Immunogold labeling in the ultracryosections showed a very low degree of interaction with tissue structures. Immunogold labeling in the ultrathin cryosections can be useful tool for the detection of ADV antigens, and the technique also may provide its great potential for immunocytochemical studies on various virus-host cell Interactions.
This paper presents a fuzzy relaxation labeling approach incorporated to the fuzzy logic fusion scheme for the classification of multi-sensor remote sensing images. The fuzzy logic fusion and iterative relaxation labeling techniques are adopted to effectively integrate multi-sensor remote sensing images and to incorporate spatial neighboring information into spectral information for contextual classification, respectively. Especially, the iterative relaxation labeling approach can provide additional information that depicts spatial distributions of pixels updated by spatial information. Experimental results for supervised land-cover classification using optical and multi-frequency/polarization images indicate that the use of multi-sensor images and spatial information can improve the classification accuracy.
This paper deals with the λ-labeling and L(2, 1)-coloring of simple graphs. A λ-labeling of a graph G is any labeling of the vertices of G with different labels such that any two adjacent vertices receive labels which differ at least two. Also an L(2, 1)-coloring of G is any labeling of the vertices of G such that any two adjacent vertices receive labels which differ at least two and any two vertices with distance two receive distinct labels. Assume that a partial λ-labeling f is given in a graph G. A general question is whether f can be extended to a λ-labeling of G. We show that the extension is feasible if and only if a Hamiltonian path consistent with some distance constraints exists in the complement of G. Then we consider line graph of bipartite multigraphs and determine the minimum number of labels in L(2, 1)-coloring and λ-labeling of these graphs. In fact we obtain easily computable formulas for the path covering number and the maximum path of the complement of these graphs. We obtain a polynomial time algorithm which generates all Hamiltonian paths in the related graphs. A special case is the Cartesian product graph Kn☐Kn and the generation of λ-squares.
