A kinect-based parking assistance system

  • This work presents an IR-based system for parking assistance and obstacle detection in the automotive field that employs the Microsoft Kinect camera for fast 3D point cloud reconstruction. In contrast to previous research that attempts to explicitly identify obstacles, the proposed system aims to detect "reachable regions" of the environment, i.e., those regions where the vehicle can drive to from its current position. A user-friendly 2D traversability grid of cells is generated and used as a visual aid for parking assistance. Given a raw 3D point cloud, first each point is mapped into individual cells, then, the elevation information is used within a graph-based algorithm to label a given cell as traversable or non-traversable. Following this rationale, positive and negative obstacles, as well as unknown regions can be implicitly detected. Additionally, no flat-world assumption is required. Experimental results, obtained from the system in typical parking scenarios, are presented showing its effectiveness for scene interpretation and detection of several types of obstacle.

폴리다이아세틸렌 베시클을 이용한 킬레이트제의 색전이 검출 (Colorimetric Detection of Chelating Agents Using Polydiacetylene Vesicles)

  • 본 연구에서는 폴리다이아세틸렌(polydiacetylene, PDA) 베시클을 이용하여 여러 가지 킬레이트제(chelating agent)를 쉽게 검출할 수 있는 센서 시스템을 개발하였다. 다른 센서들과 비교하여 PDA기반 센서는 많은 장점이 있다. 첫째로, 형광물질의 부착이 필요 없는 무표지 검출(label-free detection)이 가능하여 실험 절차가 간단하고 빠르다. 둘째로, PDA는 청색에서 외부 자극에 의해 적색으로 변화하는 색전이를 일으키므로 육안으로 쉽게 검출을 확인할 수 있었다. 끝으로, 특정 파장에서의 colorimetric response를 측정하여 각각의 킬레이트제의 농도에 따른 정량검출도 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 5가지 종류의 킬레이트제, 즉 EDTA, EGTA, NTA, DCTA, DTPA를 PDA 베시클과 반응시켰으며, 이중에서 EDTA, DCTA는 특히 강한 반응으로 PDA의 색전이를 유도함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여 PDA 베시클을 사용하여 어떠한 기계나 동력을 사용하지 않고 색전이를 이용하여 킬레이트를 성공적으로 검출할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

  • The environmental considerations should be taken into full consideration in order to make the use of ground space as comfort and efficient as that of ground space. The visual environmental factors which provide visual informations in underground spaces where the environmental information can be acquired only by the surroundings expand their role as affordance for wayfinding. This study focuses on the visual performance evaluation of wayfinding factors on the subway transfer station platform and aisle as major space for movement in four subway transfe stations and analyzes the material, pattern, color, and lighting provided by the visual environment in underground space as directional marked label, regional differentiation and sign system. The results of this study comes are as follows. First, As to the directional marked label at the subway platform and transfer aisle, following patterns are colors, finishing materials and lighting for the sake of safety and convenience, And regional differentiation, following colors are patterns for the space division. Finally sign system which practically provides the most information, however, it is most insufficient to be a space-preception element. Second, According to the type of platform structures, such as an island platform and a separate platform, the main areas of and necessity for the space-perception elements may bring about changes. Third, these four stations that has been analyzed for this study, lighting, compared with color, finishing material and pattern, has been highly insufficient to be a perception element.

  • 본 논문에서는 전력 소비자 입장에서 전력가격에 큰 비중을 차지하는 System Marginal Cost(SMP)를 줄이는 방법으로 ESS를 포함하여 Unit Commitment(UC)를 수행하는 방법과 그에 따른 효과를 분석하였다. 먼저 본 논문에서는 일반적인 UC를 Lagrangian Relaxation(LR) 기법으로 얻은 최적의 결과 값을 토대로 ESS를 추가하였다. 기존의 LR알고리즘으로부터 얻은 결과 값에 ESS를 추가하는 방법으로는 Dynamic Programming 방법의 한 종류인 Label Correcting Methods[]를 사용하였다. 기존의 UC 알고리즘 결과 값을 토대로 ESS를 추가하여 SMP 감소효과 분석을 위해 실 계통에서 사용되는 종류별 발전기 10대와 임의적으로 설정한 24시간의 부하 값을 토대로 MATLAB을 이용해서 구현하였고, 결과 값을 통해 실질적인 SMP 감소효과 유무를 확인할 수 있었다.

숙녀복 치수표기법에 대한 소비자의 선호도 조사연구

  • This study investigated whether consumer's characteristics affect their preference of size labeling systems. The survey included 443 women 20 to 64 years of age. The results show that the consumers' preferences of five size labeling systems were different significantly. Subjects strongly prefered the size label in use for many years at the marker. The consumers' preference for various systems was different by resident area, educational level, and body types of the subjects. The system with information on body measrements was prefered by the resident in the metro city area than the resident in the small city. The simplest system was strongly prefered by the subjects having no difficulties on purchasing ready-to-wear garments that reasonably fit their bodies. The subjects belonged to the low educational level strongly prefered the simplest system.

영양표시 제도에 대한 여성소비자 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Awareness of Female-Consumers for Nutrition Labeling System)

  • This study had carried out to investigate the usage status of customer, the positive effects and problems, and the most important items of the nutrition labeling at purchasing the food etc. on the current nutrition labeling system in order to establish the customer-centric nutrition labeling system. Survey was carried out by questionnaire method that is targeted on adult female above 20 years old in Seoul and Kyeongnam area from May to June, 2004. For the experience of checking the nutrition label of the processed domestic and imported processed food, 82% and 75.4% of the respondents were replied 'have checked' respectively. For the positive effects due to enforcement of the nutrition labeling system, the respondents agreed highly with 'easy to compare with other products' and 'improve the products quality'. For the problems of the nutrition labeling system, the respondents agreed highly with 'different criteria for each product' and 'incendiary purchasing due to false or exaggerated labeling', and gave the higher scale for the positive effects than the problems relatively. For the necessity of the nutrition labeling system, 96.2% of the respondents were replied 'necessary', and it was indicated a significant difference on age and marital status(p<.01). For the price rising due to enforcement of the nutrition labeling system, 55.2% of respondents agreed, and it was indicated a very significant difference on age and monthly income(p<.001). For the most important nutrition labeling items at purchasing the food, the respondents were replied 'total calorie' on most of the food, and in addition, they checked carefully the lipid, cholesterol, protein, Ca, and Fe.

  • The problem of mathematical model for an unknown system by measureing its input-output data pairs is generally referred to as state estimates. The state estimation problem is often of importance in its own right since we may want to know the value of the states. For instance, in navigation, we may take noisy positional fixes using satelite or radar navigation, and the estimator can use these measurements to provide accurate estimates of current position, hedaing, and velocity. And the state estimates can also be used for control purposes. Then it is very important to know the state of plant. In this paper, the theory of the minimization of a loss function was used to design the fuzzy system. Here, the used teory is Least Square Esimation method. This parametrization has the Linear in the parameters charcteristic that allows standard parameter estimation technique to be used to estimate the parameters of the fuzzy system. The combination of the fuzzy system and the estimation m thod then performs as a nonlinear estimator. If several fuzzy label are defined for the input variables at the antecedent part, the fuzzy system then behaves as a collection of nonlinear estimators where different regions of rules have different parameters. In simulation results, the fuzzy model controlled a difference in the structure between the actual plant and the fuzzy estimator. It is also proved that the fuzzy system is equivalent to its transformed system. therefore we was able to get the state space equation of system with the estimated paramater.

Wi-Fi신호로 제어되는 융합형 다중라벨기 설계 (Design of Fusion Multilabeling System Controlled by Wi-Fi Signals)

  • 본 논문에서는 Wi-Fi신호로 제어되는 융합형 라벨기 설계에 대하여 기술하였다. 현재 산업체에서 사용되는 라벨기는 산업현장에서 단독 장비로만 사용되고 인터넷이나 다른 네트웍 연결을 가지고 있지 않아서 라벨기가 수집한 자료를 전송하는 기능이 없어서 매우 불편하였다. 본 연구에서는 라벨기가 작업한 라벨의 종류와 사용량을 실시간 Wi-Fi를 사용하여 서버 컴퓨터로 전송할 수 있도록 정보통신(IT) 융합기술을 이용하여 설계하였다. 이러한 융합형 라벨기 시스템은 서버 컴퓨터에서 실시간으로 작업량과 작업상태를 파악할 수 있어서 기존 라벨기를 사용하는 경우보다 작업능력을 향상시키고 실시간으로 품질을 파악할 수 있게 되었다.

  • Nutrition information about food is written on the label paper, which is very inconvenient for visually impaired people to recognize. In order to solve the inconvenience of visually impaired people with nutritional information recognition, this paper proposes a product nutrition information guide system for visually impaired people. In the proposed system, user's image data input through UI, and object recognition is carried out through YOLO v5. The proposed system is a system that provides voice guidance on the names and nutrition information of recognized products. This paper constructs a new dataset that augments the 319 classes of canned/late-night snack product image data using rotate matrix techniques, pepper noise, and salt noise techniques. The proposed system compared and analyzed the performance of YOLO v5n, YOLO v5m, and YOLO v5l models through hyperparameter tuning and learned the dataset built with YOLO v5n models. This paper compares and analyzes the performance of the proposed system with that of previous studies.

  • A cold & hot rolling coil production line of iron nill consists of a kind of coherent automatic process, but an automatic labelling process still had technical difficulties in the automation of its process. The reason for difficulties in building an automatic process is that quantitative data for each rolled coil from every shipping is not easy to receive from the previous process. it is not possible to apply for a general and simple purpose robot that is actually worked through a taught position to the process because the size and direction of the coi1 has differed on every shipping. From these reasons. we introduce a robot vision system to accept an expected variable situation and to ensure the stability and flexibility of the process. This paper examines a study applied for similar cases and finds the position and direction of relied coil using the moment invariant algorithm proposed by Hu. In addition. the camera calibration and position error compensation algorithm is applied by the analysis of the relationship of transition in a space coordinate system. The construction of a robot vision system proposed by this paper is a more intellectual system than that of the automatic labelling system. which is already used to the Daihen steel nill of NEW JAPAN steel mill co. Ltd in Japan, and shows a better independent operation in the field of production.
