Polyphenolic compounds including flavonoids are wide spread in the plant kingdom, and interested recently because epidemiological studies have suggested correlations between the consumption of polyphenol-rich plant foods and the prevention of chronic diseases. Soy is a main source of isoflavonoids which are high dietary intake for the oriental population. In this study, anti-inflammatory action of sophoricoside, an isoflavone glycoside isolated from immature fruits of Sophora japonica (Leguminosae family), has been demonstrated. (omitted)

2-Hydroxymuconic semialdehyde dehydrogenase catalyzes the conversion of 2-hydroxymuconic semialdehyde (HMS) to an enol form of 4-oxalocrotonate which is a step in the catechol-meta cleavage pathway. A tomC gene encoding 2-HMS dehydrogenase of Burkholderia cepacia G4, a soil bacterium that can grow on toluene, cresol, phenol or tricholoro ethylene, is identified in between catechol 2,3-dioxygenase gene and HMS hydrolase gene, its sequence is analysed and the enzyme is characterised. we present a pressure sensor based on the mechanically formed long-period fiber gratings. The attenuation properties of an output power as a function of an external pressure is able to apply to the in-line fiber pressure sensors for the vessels.

현재의 가전기기들은 인터넷과 결합하여 정보가전기기로 변해 가는 추세이다. 현재 시판중인 몇몇의 인터넷 정보가전기기들이 있지만 불필요한 기능이 많고 복잡하며 일반기기에 비해서 너무 비싼게 현실이다. 이 논문에서 제시하고자 하는 모델은 필요로 하는 기능을 쉽게 사용학 수 있으면서 저렴한 가격에 임베디드 웹서버를 연결하여 인터넷 정보가전기기를 사용할 수 있는 모델을 제시한다.

With the exception of some large domestic airlines with adequate maintenance capability, most low-cost and small airlines do not have the facilities, equipment/tools, or manpower to perform periodic inspections over "C check." They are repaired according to maintenance programs specified by manufacturers. The outsourcing (domestic or overseas) of maintenance contracts is thus crucial to achieve good quality service at low cost, and these contracts therefore need to be signed with a full understanding of what is to be expected. This study aims to determine the requirements to be considered prior to finalizing such contracts.

Alpha-viniferin was isolated from Carex humilis (Cyperaceae), and showed anti-inflammatory effects on carrageenin or histamine-induced paw edema in mice. To understand mode of the anti-inflammatory action. effects of alpha-viniferin on cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, iNOS, oxygen radicals and proinflammatory cytokines have been analyzed. Alpha-viniferin showed selective inhibitory effect with an IC50 value of 5 $\mu\textrm{m}$ on COX-2 activity but showed weak inhibitory effect on the synthesis of COX-2 transcript which was identified by RT-PCR. 현재 방송에서는 제공되지 않은 해상도, 촬영 시점 등에 대한 사용자 요구에 따라 방송 서비스를 선택적으로 제공받고자 하는 요구가 생겨나고 있다. 기존 서비스들은 촬영 시점에 따라 정지 영상을 보여주는 정도의 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 그 한계점을 극복하고자 가상실세계에서 스트리밍을 제공할 수 있는 방법에 대해 연구하였으며, 실시간 멀티뷰 중계 서비스를 구현하고자 한다. 이를 통해 시청자는 다양한 각도에서 자신이 원하는 화면을 선택적으로 서비스 받을 수 있으며, 미래형 서비스를 위한 원천기술 확보에 도움이 될 것이다. 특히 스포츠 분야에 적용할 때 사용자가 즐길 수 있는 콘텐츠의 질적 향상을 가져올 것으로 기대된다.

Repeated $SiO_2$ and octadecyl silica gel (ODS) column chromatographies of the EtOAc fraction from Magnolia obovata fruits, 10 neolignans, named magnolol (1), honokiol (2), isoobovatol (3), isomagnolol (4), obovatol (5), obovatal (6), 9-methoxyobovatol (7), magnobovatol (8), obovaaldehyde (9), and 2-hydroxyobovaaldehyde (10) were isolated and identified. All isolated compounds were evaluated for in vitro cytotoxicity against seven human cancer cell lines.
