H.264 Encoder용 Direct Memory Access (DMA) 설계 (A design of Direct Memory Access For H.264 Encoder)

  • 본 논문에서는 Full 하드웨어 기반 베이스라인 프로파일 레벨 3규격 H.264 인코더 코덱에서 사용할 수 있는 Direct Memory Access (DMA)를 설계하였다. 설계된 모듈은 CMOS Image Sensor(CIS)로부터 영상을 입력받아 메모리에 저장한 후 인코더 코덱 모듈의 동작에 맞춰 원영상과 참조영상을 각각 한 매크로블록씩 메모리에서 읽어 공급 또는 저장하며, 인코더는 한 매크로블록씩 처리하는데 660 cycle이 소요된다. 설계한 구조를 검증하기 위해 JM 9.4와 같은 reference Encoder C를 개발하였으며, Encoder C로부터 test vector를 추출하여 설계한 회로를 검증하였다.

  • The use of digital imaging technique and digital contents based on internet has grown rapidly for last several years, and the needs of digital image protection become more important. For the purpose of copyright protection on digital image, the verification of authentication techniques like content authentication, ownership authentication, illegal copy and etc are needed. Digital watermarking, the invisible encryption technique to insert digital watermark into image, the sophisticated perceptual information should be used for providing transparency and robustness of images on watermarking process. In this paper, we implement the algorithm for preventing forged attack, ownership protection and authentication by transforming the wavelet algorithms in frequency domain in terms of human visual system.

  • The objects of the nature have three dimensional (3-D) parameters. The 3-D profiles are embedded on the photographs and microscopic images. To understand 3-D configuration, stereo pair image with thick section is frequently employed. The perception of 3-D images is possible with the aid of stereoscopic glasses, although the expert can perceive 3-D images without the glasses. Anaglyphic stereo images are constructed by various softwares from commercial and freeware. Here we would like to present an easy anaglyphs construction method with Adobe $Photoshop^{(R)}$ based on tilting paired images from high voltage electron microscope. The anaglyphic stereo images constructed revealed the same 3-D perception with conventional stereoscopy. We could zoom in/out the anaglyph image digitally to investigate the detail configuration by real time. This method is expected to contribute to understanding complex structures 3 dimensionally.

Farm disease detection procedure by image processing on Smart Farming

  • The environmental change is affecting the farm products like tomato, and pepper, etc. This affects to lead smart farming yield. What is more, this inconstant conditions cause the farms to be infected by variety diseases. Therefore ICT technology is needed to detect and prevent the crops from being effected by diseases. This article suggests the procedure to help producer for identifying farms disease based on the detected image. This detects the kind of diseases with comparing the trained image data before and after disease emergence. First step monitors an image of farms and resize it. Its features are extracted on parameters such as color, and morphology, etc. The next steps are used for classification to classify the image as infected or non-infected. on the bassis of detection algorithm.

  • Many users want to add some their own information to data which was on the web and computer without actually needing to touch data. In remote sensing, the result data for image classification consist of image and text file in general. To overcome these inconvenience problems, we suggest the annotation method using XML language. We give the efficient annotation method which can be applied to web and viewing of image classification. We can apply the annotation for web and image classification with image and text file. The need for thesaurus construction is the lack of information for remote sensing and GIS on search engine like Empas, Naver and Google. In search engine, we can’t search the information for word which has many different names simultaneously. We select the remote sensing data from different sources and make the relation between many terms. For this process, we analyze the meaning for different terms which has similar meaning.

Assessment of Accuracy of IKONOS Image Map, Traditional Orthophoto Map and Conventional Line Map of Kathmandu Valley : A Pilot Study

  • IKONOS image mapping is being considered a possible replacement to the traditional mapping in many countries due to their ease of access to current data and their potential high resolution. Survey Department of His Majesty's Government completed traditional orthophoto mapping of all urban and semi-urban areas of the country. The 1:5000 monochrome orthophoto maps of Kathmandu Valley were completed in 2003. In 2002, as a test, production of a near natural colour Image Map at 1:5000 scale of a part of Kathmandu Valley based on IKONOS data was carried out. A conventional line map plotting of the same area at 1:5000 was also prepared. The objective of the pilot project was to assess the geometric accuracy and the information content of these maps. The details of the study and their results are underlined. The findings of the study helps to explain whether IKONOS image map can replace conventional orthophoto map at 1:5,000 for urban areas of Nepal like Kathmandu.

  • Most of ground investigations can be grasped geological distribution which like rock name, geological structure, soil condition, underwater condition, land slide, ground cave-in, ground collapse by geological survey. But geological survey is limited to part region geological structure, not wide region. Therefore, Image Processing Method must need to grasp wide region geological structure. The object of this research is presented analysis data of geotechnical engineering in first step investigation.

  • 본 논문에서는 얼굴 영상 및 음성신호 변화를 측정하는 기술을 적용하여 신장에 해당하는 수지침 자극에 따른 효과를 분석하는 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 신장 수지침 자극 전과 후의 얼굴 영상과 음성을 각각 수집하고 영상신호 분석 실험에서는 신장 관련 영역인 지각(턱) 부위의 색상 변화를 측정하였다. 또한, 음성신호 분석 실험에서는 신장과 관련된 음성신호 분석 요소인 1 포먼트 주파수 대역폭과 Shimmer값의 변화를 측정하였다. 실험을 통해 신장 수지침 자극에 따른 지각 부위의 흑색, 1 포먼트 주파수 대역폭 및 Shimmer 측정값이 감소하는 현상을 나타냈다. 최종적으로 실험 결과에 대한 통계적 유의성 분석을 통해 얼굴 영상 및 음성신호 측정 기법에 의한 신장 수지침 효과를 객관적으로 입증하고자 한다.
