This study researches the form of the Korean jacket point through relics from the Three Kingdoms period that have the traditional Korean style and grace of the Goryeo period as well as the form of the modern Korean jacket starting point. Several conclusions can be drawn from the Korean Image of the Korean jacket that can be classified into types expressed in the jacket style of modern fashion. Therefore, we will analyze traditional elements of Korean beauty through the "Korean image" on how to express it in modern fashion. The purpose of this study is to understand modern design creation and Korean culture. It is important to begin the world through the application of traditional elements to recognize Korean beauty as well as to utilize historical dress based on function and popularity to continue the effort.

Post-stroke oculomotor nerve palsy occurs more frequently than previously reported, but only a few studies of traditional Korean medicine treatments have been reported. The symptoms are severe and difficult to treat, and current treatments are high-cost, short-lasting, insufficient for shortening the therapeutic period and promoting better recovery, or involve the risk of post-operative over-correction or under-correction. Traditional Korean medicine treatments may be comparatively effective at lower cost and less harmful. Thus, we report three cases of post-stroke oculomotor nerve palsy treated with traditional Korean medicine.

This paper proposes the Korean generator which is used in a Japanese to Korean translation system. The established Korean generator for japanese to Korean translation uses the entire sentence structure to generate Korean, or directly translates each morpheme. But in this paper, the generator generates Korean, based on a short clause. Japanese and Korean have similarities in short clauses, including the word order. But in the Korean generation, they also have many differences within short clauses. The analysed features in Japanese and Korean are in the wrong order. Therefore the Korean generator which takes it into consideration is needed. We propose a annotational algorithm for the Korean generation and apply it to the translation of postpositions, declinable words and auxiliary verbs. We also consider Korean phonological phenomenon that can't be extracted from the analyed Japanese informations. In the end, we can translate the Japanese conjugation that can't be easily dealt in the procedural method.

This study explores the identity-formation of adult Korean-American intentional adoptees who studied Korean in a Korean language center in New York from 2005 to 2007. Based on participant observation in the classroom, observations of student conversations in their gatherings, and discourse analysis of conversations related to why they were studying Korean, I found that adoptees felt that their lack of knowledge of Korean had caused them to fall short of expectations of ethnic Koreans. Stereotyped as Korean (or Asian) based on their looks, they were often assumed to possess knowledge of and skills associated with Korean culture, which they of course lacked. They were motivated to study Korean (and acquaint themselves with Korean culture) in order to meet these expectations.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to figure out the treatment of coldness in hands and Feet by using Delphi survey. Method : This study was approved by institutional review boards at Kyung Hee University. Self recording type delphi survey were sent by e-mail to 55 Korean medicine specialists (19 gynecologist, 36 internal medical doctors) who treat coldness in hands and Feet. And replies were analyzed. As this study is cross sectional study, simple descriptive analysis was applied. Results & Conclusion : Herbal medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion were mainly applied and extract (granule), pharmacopuncture, bee venom pharmacopuncture and cupping therapy were also added case by case. Treatment was done twice a weak for 4 months. Cupping therapy was done at GB21 and SI11. Bee venom pharmacopuncture and Kidney yang deficiency pharmacopuncture were applied at ST36, GB21, CV4 and LR3. As extract (granule) Ijungtang, Dangguisayeokgaosuyusaenggangtang and Dangguisayeoktang were mainly used and as herbal medicine formula Palmijihwangwon, Bojungikgitang, Ijungtang, Danggwisayeok-gaosuyusaenggangtang and Danggwisayeoktang were mainly prescribed. Comprehensive treatment of acupuncture, moxibustion and herbal medicine was considered to have more effective and more rapid result than single treatment of herbal medicine have.

Objectives: This study investigated quality among three herb medicine extract granules(DSGOST) which were made from different companies to check quality control of herb medicine extract granules. Methods: we selected three DSGOST extract granules which were made from different companies. And we experimented extract granules by method from K.P(Korean Pharmacopoeia), K.H.P(Korean Herbal Pharmacopoeia) of KFDA. Results: In qualitative analysis of DSGOST, we indentified Akebiae Caulis (木通), Asari Herba Cum Radix (細辛), Evodiae Fructus (吳茱萸) in three different DSGOST extract granules. In quantitative analysis of DSGOST, Medication A,B,C contained similar content of Paeoniflorin & Glycyrrhizic acid. However Medication B contains especially lowest value of Cinnamic acid & total Decursin. Conclusions: Herb medicine extract granules have different contents of ingredients although those were made by same prescription. And these differences may influence medicinal effect to patients. So we need to make system of quality control with various research of quantitative & qualitative analysis about herb medicine extract granules.

Cervical dystonia (CD) is a disorder characterized by sustained or intermittent, involuntary muscle contractions which cause twisting, repetitive movements and abnormal postures. In this case report, a CD patients was treated with transfer energy capacitive and resistive (TECAR) therapy and conventional Korean medicine, which consists of acupuncture, Chuna manual medicine, pharmacopuncture and herbal medicine. For outcome measures, this study evaluated Cobb's angle, EuroQol five dimension scale (EQ-5D), numerical rating scale (NRS), neck disabillity index (NDI) and cervical range of motion. As a result, improvements were found in Cobb's angle ($18.65^{\circ}$ to $15.90^{\circ}$), EQ-5D score (0.808 to 0.862), NRS (5 to 3), NDI (16 to 8) and angle of cervical lateral bending ($15^{\circ}$ to $25^{\circ}$). In conclusion, this study shows that combined therapy of conventional Korean medicine treatment and TECAR therapy can be effective for CD patients.

Objectives: This study presented the case of a 49-year-old Korean female with phantom limb pain after below right knee amputation and aimed to assess the effectiveness of Korean medicine treatment. Methods: The patient was treated with scalp acupuncture, electroacupuncture and herbal medicine. We executed a numerical rating scale (NRS), conducted a global assessment (G/A), administrated a Short-Form McGill Pain Questionnaire 2 (SF-MPQ-2) and measured total daily sleep time to evaluate symptom improvement. Results: The patient's G/A scores decreased from 10 to 2 and SF-MPQ-2 points decreased from 20 to 6 after treatment. The total daily sleep time did not changed due to anxiety. Conclusions: This study suggests that Korean medicine treatment could be effective in treating phantom limb pain after amputation. Further studies are needed.

We studied the effect of Korean medicine treatment on the clearance of vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE) colonization and on improvement in symptoms in a stroke patient. The patient was continuously followed up with stool VRE cultures while being treated with herbal medicine, Chunglijagam-tang, acupuncture, and oxygen therapy. We also checked the coccygeal pressure sore condition and the oxygen levels during therapy. No VRE colonization was found after treatment and the oxygen levels and pressure sores had improved. This study proved that Korean medicine treatment could be effective for the clearance of VRE colonization and improvement of symptoms.
