  • This experimental study was performed to find out the vibration damage of concrete. The major factors of this test were duration of vibration and curing age of concrete when vibrated. According to the serial test results, construction vibrations may cause critical damage to the concrete structures if the age of concrete when vibrated is about 4 hours.

  • We can consider that the study on early evaluation of compressive strength and durability of concrete is useful to raise safety of quality control of concrete. In this paper, was proposed to method early to predict strength and durability of concrete with parameter, such as Water/cement(W/C) ratio and steam curing conditions. Through analyzing the relationship between the compressive strength and the amount of chloride penetration into concrete specimens, a new formula early estimating durability of the concrete structure was suggested.

  • This paper presents the analysis results predicted by the upper bound approach in the limit analysis of concrete incorporating the original plastic and crack sliding solutions for short high-strength concrete beams that varied the compressive strength of concrete, and the shear span-to-depth and vertical shear reinforcement ratios. The significance of the distance away from the support to define the location where the yield line starts and the properties of cracked concrete, particularly related to high-strength concrete, is identified.

  • Recently, work of construction industry is not enough to do in tamping because of a lack of expert, advanced-age of worker, increase of structure of high-dengity arrangment and machanization of concrete pumping method Accordingly it is required for high-qualuily concrete with excellent flowability, Self-placeability and regregation registance. In this point of view, this study is investigated for requiremend properties of ultar-flow concrete using dimestic material as for development of Ultra-Flow concrete in the side of material

  • When concrete structures are built in marine environment, they may be deteriorated and have the poor durability and quality caused by steel corrosion or by chemical attack of magnesium or sulfate ions. Especially, Mg ions contained in seawater make concrete surface weaken by chemical reaction with $Ca(OH)_2$ In this study, a concrete structure built in 1947 was investigated to estimate the factors, especially chemical attack, which can cause concrete to deteriorate. Furthermore, the instrumental analysis methods such as XRD and ESEM were performed to find the reactants in concrete under marine environment.

  • The bond strength of latex-modified concrete to normal portland cement concrete measured with direct pull-out test. Using $250\times1100\times1400$mm concrete slab as the base concrete, an overlay of the latex-modified concrete is applied and cured similar to bridge deck and then tested in direct pull-out. The test results not only give values of the bond strength of the overlay tested but also clearly indicate whether the failure is in the bond interface or the materials tested.

  • For implementation of the strut-tie model approach to the practical analysis and design of structural concrete, the effective strengths of concrete struts in a strut-tie model, which have a crucial effect on the determination of strut and tie forces and the validity verification of strut-tie model's geometric compatibility condition, have to be determined accurately. In this study, the validity of the methods for determining the effective strengths of concrete struts was evaluated by conducting the strut-tie model analyses of the three reinforced concrete deep beams tested to failure with the effective strengths of concrete struts obtained from the suggested determination methods.

  • In this paper, fatigue behavior of concrete slab tracks under railway loads by experimental method is discussed. The addition of steel fibers to concrete mix has been receiving more attention as a way of improving the crack behavior of concrete beams an slabs tacks. This study two objectives: 1) to observe the fatigue behavior of fiber reinforced concrete slab in labor, and 2) to present crack propagation and deflection of fiber reinforced concrete slab track under railway loads in the Waghauser test line. Nine beams, two slabs and one test track were experimentally tested.

  • Using numerical analysis modeling of Multi-electrode Array that could be applied to the corrosion state measurement of a reinforcing steel bar in concrete, the steel bar location inside concrete can be probed by the investigation of the change of the measured impedance from concrete surface determined by the electrical impedance of interface between the steel bar and concrete, the electrical resistivity of concrete, the array of electrodes and the relative location and diameter of the steel bar.
