대학생의 간호사에 대한 이미지 (College Students' Images of Nurses)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the college students' images of Nurses. Data were collected by open-ended questionnaire. 326 subjects were composed of nursing students and non nursing students who attended in universities and junior colleges at Pusan, Kyung-buk, and Chung-buk from April 30 to May 31, 1995. Collected data were analyzed by all researchers. Statements were categorized and endowed with Key meaning. The results were 1. Positive images of nurses were classified into 21 categories. They were , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , . 2. Among the positive images categories, statements about the were the most. Statements about , , , were a lot. 3. For nusing students, statements about the were the most. Statements about , , , were a lot 4. For non-nursing students statements about the were the most. Statements about , , , were a lot. 5. For nursing students who have no experience of the clinical practice statements about , , were a lot. 6. For nursing students who have not experience of the clinical practice, statements about , , were a lot. 7. Negative images of nurses were classified into 21 categories. Inhibitory Effect of Ginseng on Breast Cancer Cell Line Growth Via Up-Regulation of Cyclin Dependent Kinase Inhibitor, p21 and p53

  • Objective: Breast cancer is global female health problem worldwide. Most of the currently used agents for breast cancer treatment have toxic side-effects. Ginseng root, an oriental medicine, has many health benefits and may exhibit direct anti-cancer properties. This study was performed to assess the effects of ginseng on breast cancer cell lines. Materials and Methods: Cytotoxicity of ginseng extract was measured by MTT assay after exposure of MDA-MB-231, MCF-10A and MCF-7 breast cancer cells to concentrations of 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 mg/well. Expression levels of p21WAF, p16INK4A, Bcl-2, Bax and P53 genes were analyzed by quantitative real time PCR. Results: The treatment resulted in inhibition of cell proliferation in a dose-and time-dependent manner. p53, p21WAF1and p16INK4A expression levels were up-regulated in ginseng treated MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 cancer cells compared to untreated controls and in MCF-10A cells. The expression levels of Bcl2 in the MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 cells were down-regulated. In contrast, that of Bax was significantly up-regulated. Conclusion: The results of this study revealed that ginseng may inhibit breast cancer cell growth by activation of the apoptotic pathway.

강화지역 중년 남.녀의 일상식과 특별식 섭취 실태 조사 (Patterns of Daily and Specialty Food Consumption among Middle-aged Residents of Ganghwa)

  • The present study was conducted to survey the daily and speciality meals consumed by middle-aged residents of Gang-hwa. The data were analyzed by determining the frequencies at which daily and specialty meals were consumed with respect to the quantitative and qualitative data. The subjects mainly consumed Japgok-bap 28.6%, kong-bap 25.0%, ssal-bap 20.5%. The daily meals consumed included juk, 3 kinds; guksu 11 kinds; mandu, 2 kinds; tang and malgeon-guk, 37 kinds; doenjang-guk, 10 kinds; goum-guk, 13 kinds: naeng-buk, 4 kinds; jjigae, 23 kinds; jjim, 12 kinds; gui, 29 kinds; jeon 22 kinds; jijim, 3 kinds; namul, 33 kinds; saengchae, 6 kinds; japchae, 1 kind; jorim, 29 kinds; sun, 1 kind; bokkeum, 7 kinds; hoe, 2 kinds; ssam, 4 kinds; muchim, 5 kinds; jaban, 1 kind; jokpyun pyunyuk, 1 kind; bugak, 14 kinds; twigim, 1 kind; and muk, 4 kinds. The subjects prepared jangachi(272, 81%), jeot-gal (143, 42.6%), dried food (75, 24.4%), storage food (116, 36.1%), liquor (54, 16.1%), and tteok(162,48.2%) in their homes. There were 62 kinds of speciality food and 75 kinds of food inherited foods from the subject's mother or passed down from the husband's mother to daughter or daughter-in-law in Ganghwa. Therefore, we need to preserve and develop our traditional foods and our traditional cooking methods far our future generations.

한국산(韓國産) 계란중(鷄卵中)의 수은(水銀)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on Hg Contents in Korean Hen's Egg)

  • These experiments were designed to study the Hg contents in Korean Hens Egg by origin, kind, organ, and cooking methods. The following samples were studied. Place of origin Seoul (Legon) Su Woun (Legon) Pusan (Legon) Ulsan (Legon) Tae Gu (Legon) Kwang Ju (Legon) Seoul (New Hampson) Seoul (Native) No of sample 12 12 12 10 10 10 10 10 The following result were obtained. 1. The Hg contents of hen's egg of Seoul origin was 0.087 p.p.m., that of Ulsan origin was 0.077 p.p.m.. Its contents of Tae Gu, Kwang Ju origin were 0.052 p.p.m. and 0.048 p.p.m.. High contents of Hg showed in egg that produced in large cityies ana industrial area. 2. For the kind of egg, the Hg contents of Legon kind was 0.087 p.p.m and that of Native kind was 0.031 p.p.m.. Its contents of Legon kind was higher than that, of Native significantly. 3. By the organ of egg, the contents of Hg in egg yolk was 0.064 p.p.m. that showed 87 percent Hg contents of whole egg, and its value of egg white was 0.009 p.p.m.. 4. About cooking methods, the contents of Hg in parboiled egg was 0.007 p.p.m., that of fried egg was 0.015 p.p.m.. Especially the cooked eggs were significantly lower than row eggs in Hg contents.

  • In this paper, we use a modified Tikhonov regularization method to solve the Fredholm integral equation of the first kind. Under the assumption that measured data are contaminated with deterministic errors, we give two error estimates. The convergence rates can be obtained under the suitable choices of regularization parameters and the number of measured points. Some numerical experiments show that the proposed method is effective and stable.

  • In this article, we study generalized slant cylindrical surfaces (GSCS's) with pointwise 1-type Gauss map of the first and second kinds. Our main results state that the right circular cones are the only rational kind GSCS's with pointwise 1-type Gauss map of the second kind.

  • In this article, we study generalized slant cylindrical surfaces (GSCS's) with pointwise 1-type Gauss map of the first and second kinds. Our main results state that GSCS's with pointwise 1-type Gauss map of the first kind coincide with surfaces of revolution with constant mean curvature; and the right cones are the only polynomial kind GSCS's with pointwise 1-type Gauss map of the second kind.
