  • It is imperative to migrate the current public key cryptosystem to a quantum-resistance system ahead of the realization of large-scale quantum computing technology. The National Institute of Standards and Technology, NIST, is promoting a public standardization project for Post-Quantum Cryptography(PQC) and also many research efforts have been conducted to apply PQC to TLS(Transport Layer Security) protocols, which are used for Internet communication security. In this paper, we propose a scenario in which a server and multi-clients share session keys on TLS by using the parallelized NTRU which is PQC in the key exchange process. In addition, we propose a method of accelerating NTRU using GPU and analyze its efficiency in an environment where a server needs to process large-scale data simultaneously.

  • S/KEY system was proposed to guard against intruder's password replay attack. But S/KEY system has vulnerability that if an attacker derive passphrase from his dictionary file, he can acquire one-time password required for user authentication. In this paper, we propose a correct S/KEY system mixed with EKE to solve the problem. Also, we specify a new S/KEY system with Casper and CSP, verify its secrecy and authentication requirements using FDR model checking tool.

  • IPsec is a protocol suite to protect the data communication between computers on internet and many VPNs(Virtual Private Networks) use IPsec protocol. IKE protocol is used to exchange keys in IPsec. Formal analysis method is used increasingly in computer science to increase the reliability of a system. In this paper, the IKE protocol is analyzed formally. This paper shows that IKE with Authentication with Signature and Authentication with Pre-Shared Key is safe, but Authentication with Public Key Encryption and A Revised Method of Authentication with Public Key Encryption are safe only with the assumption that a participant has the correct public key of the correspondent. To make sure that a participant has the correct public key of the correspondent, the usage of certificate is recommended.

  • Integrating various pathway data collections to create new biological knowledge is a challenge, for which novel computational tools play a key role. For this purpose, we developed the Java-based conversion modules KGML2SBML and KGML2BioPAX to translate KGML (KEGG Markup Language) into a couple of common data exchange formats: SBML (Systems Biology Markup Language) and BioPAX (Biological Pathway Exchange). We hope that our work will be beneficial for other Java developers when they extend their bioinformatics system into SBML- or BioPAX-aware analysis tools. This is part of our ongoing effort to develop an ultimate KEGG-based pathway enrichment analysis system.

  • A proposed system can decrypt each contents block through a double buffer algorithm which can continually buffer contents by dividing a multimedia contents into some blocks and provides more improved method of encryption than existing system by being not capable of decrypting the whole multimedia contents if one key is exposed. Also, using digital signature and public encryption algorithm for mutual authentication between systems, this paper proposes the system which sends and encrypts symmetric keys for contents encryption through SOAP messages.

  • Wireless access always has to include the authentication of communication partners and the encryption of communication data in order to use secure M-Commerce services. However, wireless systems have limitations compared with the wired systems, so we need an efficient authentication and key exchange protocol considering these limitations. In this paper, we propose an efficient authentication and key exchange protocol for M-Commerce users using elliptic curve crypto systems. The proposed protocol reduces the computational load of mobile users because the wireless service provider accomplishes some parts of computations instead of the mobile user, and it uses the password-based authentication in wireless links. Also, it guarantees the anonymity of the mobile user not to reveal directly the real identity of the user to the M-Commerce host, and preserves the confidentiality of communication data between the M-Commerce host and the user not to know the contents of communication between them to others including the wireless service provider.

Did to certificate other realm because search position of outside realm through DNS and apply X.509 directory certification system, acquire public key from DNS server by chain (CertPath) between realms by certification and Key exchange way that provide service between realms applying X.509, DS/BNS of PKINIT base. In order to provide regional services, Certification and key exchange between realms use Kerberos' symmetric method and Session connection used Directory service to connection X.509 is designed using an asymmetric method. Excluded random number ($K_{rand}$) generation and duplex encryption progress to confirm Client. • Ipsec is a security protocol suite that provides encryption and authentication services for IP messages at the network layer of the internet. Internet Key Exchange (IKE) is a protocol that is used to negotiate and provide authenticated keying materials in a protected manner for Security Associations (SAs). In this paper, we propose a dynamic key lifetime change algorithm for performance enhancement of virtual private networks using IPSec. The proposed algorithm changes the key lifetime according to the number of secure tunnels. The proposed algorithm is implemented with Linux 2.4.18 and FreeS/WAN 1.99. The system employing our proposed algorithm performs better than the original version in terms of network performance and security.

  • The reverse electrodialysis (RED) is an energy generation system to convert chemical potential of saline water directly into electric energy via the combination of current derived from a redox couple electrolyte and ionic potential obtained when cation ($Na^+$) and anion ($Cl^-$) pass through cation exchange membrane (CEM) and anion exchange membrane (AEM) into fresh water, respectively. Ion exchange membrane, a key element of RED system, should satisfy requirements such as 1) low swelling behavior, 2) a certain level of ion exchange capacity, 3) high ion conductivity, and 4) high perm-selectivity to achieve high power density. In this paper, research trends and prospects of ionomer materials and ion exchange membranes are dealt with.

  • This thesis is written with web security module for safe data transmission between heterogeneous systems(ex. OS). Web system has allowed users to have great convenience and a lot of information. Though web service business has been progressed much, because of the limitation of it's own system, lots of loss, derived from data spillage which is the weakest point of security, has also followed. Suggested security module is realized by two module. One for server security module for web server, the other is client security module for client. The security structure, suggested on this thesis guarantee safe data transmission by only simple installation of modules in clients and servers. for speed sensitive transmission between web server and browser, Triple-DES, symmetric encryption system suitable for fast encryption communication, is adapted. To solve problems caused from key management, Diffie-Hellman's key exchange algorithm is adapted. By this method, all symmetric encryption troubles from key distribution and management, speed could be work out a solution. And Diffie-Hellman type algorithm secures Authentication for safe data Protection.
