  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce the (Toeplitz) quadrature method for solving fredholm integral equations of the second kind with mildly singular kernels. We are presented some numerical examples for the computation of the error estimate using the MathCad package.

  • The input-output relation for nonlinear systems can be explicitly represented by the Volterra functional series and it is characterized by the Volterra kernels. A block diagram reduction method is proposed to determine the Volterra kernels and is compared with the direct substitution technique. The former method can significantly reduce the computational complexity.

  • A real time and adaptive method for obtaining Volterra kernels of a nonlinear system by use of pseudorandom M-sequences and correlation technique is proposed. The Volterra kernels are calculated real time and the obtained Volterra kernels becomes more accurate as time goes on. The simulation results show the effectiveness of this method for identifying time-varying nonlinear system.

  • In complex analysis, the Bergman kernels for two biholomorphically equivalent complex domains satisfy the transformation formula. Recently new Bergman theory of slice regular functions of the quaternion variables has been investigated. In this paper we construct the transformation formula of the slice Bergman kernels under slice biregular functions in the setting of the quaternion variables.

  • In this paper, we prove weighted norm inequalities for rough singular integrals along surfaces with radial kernels h and sphere kernels Ω by assuming h ∈ △γ(ℝ+) and Ω ∈ β(Sn-1) for some γ > 1 and β > 1. Here Ω ∈ β(Sn-1) denotes the variant of Grafakos-Stefanov type size conditions on the unit sphere. Our results essentially improve and extend the previous weighted results for the rough singular integrals and the corresponding maximal truncated operators.

  • Van de Vusse reactor is known as a highly nonlinear chemical process and has been considered by a number of researchers as a benchmark problem for nonlinear chemical process. Various identification methods for nonlinear system are also verified by applying these methods to Van de Vusse reactor. From the point of view of identification, only the Volterra kernel of second order has been obtained until now. In this paper, the authors show that Volterra kernels of nonlinear Van de Vusse reactor of up to 3rd order are obtained by use of M-sequence correlation method. A pseudo-random M-sequence is applied to Van de Vusse reactor as an input and its output is measured. Taking the crosscorrelation function between the input and the output, we obtain up to 3rd order Volterra kernels, which is the highest order Volterra kernel obtained until now for Van de Vusse reactor. Computer simulations show that when Van de Vusse chemical process is identified by use of up to 3rd order Volterra kernels, a good agreement is observed between the calculated output and the actual output.

  • In this paper, we propose the model to measure and compare the performances of the Linux, PC_Solaris and FreeBSD which are the heterogeneous PC based UNIX kernels connected by network. Using the stop-watch timer with the $mutextrm{s}$ unit, we measure the important performance indices of UNIX kernels which are the primitive and command execution time and disk I/O time. Also we measure the message transfer time using the TCP, UDP and RPC methods to compare the network performance of UNIX kernels. And we compare the performance of NFS for each UNIX kernels. And we display the measured data on internet.

  • The authors have recently proposed a new method for identifying Volterra kernels of nonlinear control systems by use of M-sequence and correlation technique. A specially chosen M-sequence is added to the nonlinear system to be identified, and the crosscorrelation function between the input and output is calculated. Then every crosssection of Volterra kernels up to 3rd order appears at a specified delay time point in the crosscorrelation. This method is applied to a saturation-type nonlinear feedback control system of mechanical-electrical servo system having torque saturation nonlinearity. Simulation experiments show that we can obtain Volterra kernels of saturation-type nonlinear system, and a good agreement is observed between the observed output and the calculated one from the measured Volterra kernels.

  • In the ongoing standardization of Versatile Video Coding (VVC), DCT-2, DST-7 and DCT-8 are designated as the vital primary transform kernels. Due to the effectiveness of DST-4 and DCT-4 in smaller resolution sequences, DST-4 and DCT-4 transform kernel can also be used as the replacement of the DST-7 and DCT-8 transform kernel respectively. While storing all of those transform kernels, ROM memory storage is considered as the major issue. So, to deal with this scenario, a unified DST-3 based transform kernel derivation method is proposed in this paper. The transform kernels used in this paper is DCT-2, DST-4 and DCT-4 transform kernels. The proposed ROM memory required to store the matrix elements is 1368 bytes each of 8-bit precision.

  • Pods and kernels of two peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) cultivars, a Shinpung type, Shindaekwangtangkong and a Virginia bunch type, Namdaetangkong were harvested periodically after the gynophore earthing in the field condition and their developments were monitored by observation of the changes in size, weight and moisture content. Seed germinability and seedling vigor were tested to set up a method for hastening the generation advancement in breeding procedure. Pods and kernels reached the maximum in size at 30 to 40 days after gynophore earthing and at that time the kernels had one hundred percent germinability and the seedlings sprouted from those kernels exhibited practically acceptable viability enough to grow for the next generation.
