위해환경에서 구동가능한 원격제어 이동 로봇 개발 (A development of remote controlled mobile robot working in a hazard environment)

  • 위해환경에서 동작되는 화상로봇에 대한 개발에 관하여 서술하였다. 개발된 로봇은 크게 로봇 제어부와 Host PC 에서의 Visual I/F program으로 구성되어 있다 개발된 로봇의 구동부와 Camera의 구동부는 2자유도를 갖고 있으며 유저 친화적으로 개발된 Joystick으로 원격조종된다. 외부 상황은 비젼 시스템과 초음파 센서로 인식되며, 화상 및 센서 데이터, 명령어 등을 각각 900MHz와 447MHz RF로 통신된다. 개발된 시스템의 효율성을 100m범위의 야외 시험장에서 운용되어 검사되었다.

  • Hydraulic systems are essential for most of the construction equipments due to their various advantages, such as very powerful, quick response speed, precision control and remote control. Moreover, they are necessary to apply the electro hydraulic systems for precise and remote controls. Operating the small electronic joystick of the remote controller for the control of a multipurpose work machine with remote control technology increases the possibility of a sudden operation compared to the use of a conventional hydraulic joystick. When a joystick is suddenly operated, the peak pressure is generated in the system due to the quick response of the system. Then a vibration is generated due to the peak pressure, which causes instability to the operation of the construction equipment. Therefore, in this study, we confirmed the level of reduction of peak pressure occurring in the electro hydraulic system by using AMESim, when the output signal of the step shape generated by the sudden operation of the electronic joystick was changed by using the convolution operation.

IMV를 이용한 굴착기 작업장치 궤적제어 (Trajectory Control of Excavator Actuators Using IMV)

  • The IMV is a combination of four two-way valve systems which replace a conventional four-way spool valve to improve efficiency mostly in excavator hydraulics. As the environmental regulations for construction equipment have tightened, some overseas advanced companies have released commercial excavators in which the MCV is implemented with the IMVs. Development of the IMV type MCV relies on the control algorithm as well as the robust performance of proportional flow control valves. In this study, the IMV controller was designed and verified with experiments for the excavator working unit, which determines the IMV mode of operation and the extent of the valve opening in consideration of the load conditions on hydraulic actuators. First, the open-loop controller was designed with a joystick command vs. a PSV reference current map comprising several control parameters in to compensate for the different flow characteristics and non-linearities of two-way flow control valves. Second, the closed-loop controller was designed with the PI control fed by the actuator displacement and outputs actuator percent effort equivalent to the operator's joystick command. Finally, the performance of the IMV type MCV was verified with the trajectory control of position references derived from the energy consumption test standard. Experimental results showed the control performance of the IMV developed in this study, and suggest that future studies to be conducted to advance technical progress.

A Study for Medical Precision Control Machine Using AX-12

  • Control devices perform various works for us in many areas. The device is being utilized for precision movement of certain object. In as much as control devices are activated by means of motors, motor control is important.[1][2] Generally, servo motors capable of precision control are more frequently used than DC motors. Use of 3 motors allows 3- way movement. Medical controllers for surgical operation require high precision. [3][4][5][6] AX-12, a servo motor can realize various types of movement. AX-12 can be easily manufactured in the form of a robotic arm and has features that MCU and its peripheral circuits are simple. For precision movement, 3 motors can be controlled by use of a single joystick and 2 buttons, with movement angles being adjusted by having preset values in the program changed.[7][8] By virtue of this study, we have realized small precision robotic arm system utilizing single joystick and 2 buttons. This system can control the robotic arm in the direction desired by the user. The system has been designed such that a joystick controls 2 motors with the remaining motor being controlled by a button. Single MCU is tasked with both control and movement.[9] We have shown precision robotic arm system in the Figure contained in the conclusion part and made reference to results of analysis in there. It has also been demonstrated that the system can be utilized in the industry.[8]

진동모터로 구성된 햅틱 디바이스를 이용한 장애물 정보 전달 및 제어 방법 (Obstacle Information Transfer and Control Method using Haptic Device consist of Vibration Motors)

  • In this paper, a new haptic device is proposed for the teleoperation, which can recognize the invisible environment of a mobile robot. With this new device, it is possible for the user to identify the location of an obstacle and to avoid it. The haptic device has been attached on the top of a joystick so that the user can remotely control the mobile robot to avoid the obstacles which are recognized by the ultrasonic sensors. Also, the invisible environment is recognized more accurately overlapping the data from the ultrasonic sensors. There are five vibration motors in the haptic device to indicate the direction of the obstacle. So the direction of the obstacle can be recognized by the vibration at the finger on each vibration motor. For various situations and surrounding environments, experiments are performed using fuzzy controller and overlapping ultrasonic sensors. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed haptic joystick.

유압구동 백호 작업기 조작 인터페이스개발 (A Maneuver Interface Scheme of a Hydraulic Backhoe Manipulator)

  • This paper presents an intuitive interface scheme for controlling a hydraulic backhoe, which is a piece of excavating equipment consisting of a digging bucket on the end of a two-part articulated arm, and typically mounted and rotated on the back of a tractor or front loader. The passive levers/joysticks for actuator operations of a hydraulic backhoe are replaced into electric joysticks with a robotic controller, which will generate the end-effecter command trajectories of the backhoe through joystick rate control in cylindrical coordinate. The developed backhoe with the hydraulic control system showed the maxim position error of 3 cm with intuitive coordinate operations, which would be helpful for conveniently performing various excavating tasks with natural and effective ways.

조이스틱을 이용한 선박의 입출항 및 접이안 시스템의 제어 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Control Algorithm for Ship Berthing and Unberthing Systems Using a Joystick)

  • 본 연구에서는 조이스틱을 이용하여 프로펠러와 타, 선수/선미 쓰러스터를 갖는 선박의 접이안을 위한 제어 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 조이스틱으로부터 전진 방향 및 회전 방향의 속도명령을 받아 전진 방향 및 회전 방향의 속도를 제어하는 MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) 비선형 제어 알고리즘을 개발하기 위해 저속 조종수학모형을 사용하였다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 비선형 및 PID 제어기의 성능을 검증하기 위해 선박 접이안 가상 HILS(Hardware in the Loop Simulation) 프로그램을 구현하였다. HILS 프로그램은 LabWindow/CVI를 이용하여 개발하였으며, 사용자는 선박의 현재 위치와 원하는 궤적을 모니터를 통해 본 후 조이스틱을 이용하여 선박의 전진 방향 및 회전방향 속도를 제어함으로서 선박을 조종한다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 보면 비선형 제어기와 PID 제어기는 개루프 조이스틱 제어기보다 타와 쓰러스터의 입력 크기뿐 아니라 선박의 위치오차 면에서도 우수한 성능을 보였다.

  • Polishing a die that has free-form surfaces is a time-consuming and tedious job, and requires a considerable amount of high-precision skill. Some workers tend to gradually avoid the polishing work because of the poor environment caused by dust and noise. In order to reduce the polishing time and cope with the shortage of skilled workers, a user-friendly automatic polishing system was developed in this research. The polishing system with five degrees of freedom is able to keep the polishing tool normal to the die surface. The polishing system is controlled by a PC-NC controller. To easily operate the developed polishing robot system, this study developed an integrated program in the Windows environment. This program consists of four modules: the polishing module, the graphic simulator, the polishing data generation module, and the teaching module. Also, the automatic teaching system was developed to easily obtain teaching data and it consists of a three dimensional joystick and a proximity sensor. The joystick is used to simultaneously drive the polishing system to an arbitrary orientation and the proximity sensor is used to obtain teaching points precisely. Also, to evaluate the stability of the driving program and the teaching system, polishing experiments of a die of saddle shape were carried out.

  • 최근, 가상현실분야가 매우 다양하게 각 산업분야에서 응용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상환경하에서 인터페이스 조작에 의하여 로봇의 움직임을 제어하였다. 3D Graphic Tool을 사용하여 가상로봇을 생성하고 생성된 가상로봇에 실제로봇의 텍스쳐를 입혀 X파일로 변환시켜 3차원 가상현실에 적용되는 Direct 3D Graphic의 Component들을 사용하여 실제로봇과 동일한 모습을 재현하였다. 또한 조이스틱을 통해서 가상로봇의 움직임을 표현하고 실제로봇을 제어했다. 개발된 로봇은 크게 로봇 제어부와 Host PC에서의 Visual I/F program으로 구성되어 있다. 개발된 로봇의 구동부와 Camera의 구동부는 2자유도를 갖고 있으며 사용자 친화적으로 개발된 조이스틱으로 원격조종된다. 외부 상황은 비젼 시스템과 초음파 센서로 인식되며, 화상 및 센서 데이터, 명령어 둥을 각각 900MHz와 447MHz RF로 통신된다. 사용자는 실제 로봇을 제어하기 위하여 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 로봇 제어 명령을 내리면 로봇을 구동하기 위한 원격 송/수신부에서 447MHz의 특정소출력국용 주파수를 사용하는 모듈을 통해 Half duplex 방식으로 4800bps로 실외 500m까지 제어한다.

굴삭기를 이용한 해체 장비용 원격 조종 장치 설계 (Design of a Remote Controller for Dismantling Processes Using Excavator)

  • Since the processes of dismantling are very dangerous, there have been many studies to develop remote operating devices using joystick. In this paper, in order to improve the operability of the dismantling equipment that is usually an excavator, a novel concept of tole-operated device is proposed. Operators who use this device with additional environmental sensing devices can work safely away from the dangerous sites. First, based on the concept design of the remote controller, its workspace is analyzed and the workspace mapping from the device to the excavator is explored. Second, after 7 steps of the excavating processes are defined, the kinematics which deals with the conversion from the 3 dimensional position information of the device to the joint variable information of the backhoe is included in this paper. Lastly, 3D graphical simulation of both remote controller and the backhoe will be shown. This new design of the remote control device tan be easily manufactured and gives the workers very convenient and transparent remote control capability.
