병원직종별 이직의도에 관련된 영향요인 (Factors affecting the turnover intention of hospital employees by job category)

  • This study attempts to analyze the relationship between various job-related factors and the intent to turnover of employees working at different types of hospitals/clinics in urban and rural areas. The data was compiled from 1,506 employees in 21 hospitals and 10 clinics located in Kyung-gi Do. Korea, using a self-administered questionnaire. Major findings are as follows: 1) The intent to turnover was higher for the employees of small hospitals located in rural areas. It was also higher when the employees were less than 30 in age, female, single, had not received college education, and had worked for 2-5 years in their hospitals. 2) An important factor affecting the intent to turnover was job satisfaction, which in turn had a strong correlation with the job itself(opportunity of utilizing abilities and skills, subjective value attached to the current job, sense of accomplishment) and had a rather weak correlation with salary, supervision, promotion and co-worker relationship. 3) In the analysis by job category, it was found that, besides job satisfaction, the intent to turnover was significantly affected by the job itself in case of administrative personnel and by the level of salary in case of nurses. 4) For a successful management of turnover, hospitals need to develop (a) programs for improving adaptive abilities of 'new' employees(who have worked for less than 2 years), and (b) for the other employees(who have worked for more than 2 years), strategies for enhancing job satisfaction by providing the environment where they can show their maximum abilities.

대구지역 관광호텔 조리종사원 실태와 직무만족에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Realities and Job Satisfaction of Hotel Cuisine Employees)

  • This study is. aimed to investigate the realities and the job satisfaction of hotel cuisine employees to be occupied with the special grade of tourist hotel in Daegu. As the factors of job satisfaction for the cooks, the 5 items such as social reputation, job itself, human relationship with co-workers, the chance of promotion, and the stability of company and benefits were selected. And 21 subitems of them were also chosen. The 154 persons of all were examined in this study. For the establishment of the factors in the area of job satisfaction, the methods of Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ analysis and factor analysis were carried out. The propensities of employees and the differences of job satisfaction were examined by using x$^2$-test method and one-way ANOVA respectively. 1. In the area of males professional cooks were 89% with respect to age, 51.9% were found to be under 25 years of age which constituted the largest age group. 96% of the cooks had graduated a high school or had a higher education Those who had four or more years of cooking experience were 46.8% which constituted the largest group, while about 30% had less than one year experience. Approximately 50% of the cooks earned an average of less than W700,000 per month. Among these cooks most worked for western type food establishments. Even with their higher education, we found that their work term is short and their income, low.2. In the research on job satisfaction, the survey result found was in the order of: social security, the work itself, human relationships with their fellow cooks, the chances of promotion, and job security and benefits with index-values of 4.59, 3.98, 3.18, 2.94 and 2.52 respectively.

Conceptual Framework for the Relationships among Job-Training Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction, and Turnover Intention in Foodservice Operations

  • The current study investigated the interrelationship among job-training satisfaction, job satisfaction, and turnover intention in foodservice operations. The findings suggested that the more satisfied employees were with their job training the more likely they were to be satisfied on their job. Furthermore, improving employees' job satisfaction led to lower turnover intention. However, job-training satisfaction by itself did not prove to have a negative relationship with turnover intention. Implications of the findings and future research are discussed.

기관특성과 개인환경에 따른 전문도서관 직원의 직무만족도 연구 (A Study on Job Satisfaction Level of Employees in Special Libraries by Institutional Characteristics and Personal Backgrounds)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 전문도서관 직원의 전반적인 직무만족 수준을 진단하고, 소속기관과 개인환경에 따라 나타나는 직무만족의 차이를 분석하는데 있다. 분석 결과, 민간기관이 '보수', '승진', '전반적인 만족도' 요인에서 공공기관보다 직무만족도가 높게 나타났고, 도서관이 독립적 부서로 존재하는 기관이 그렇지 않은 기관에 비해 '직무자체', '보수', '동료관계' 요인에서 만족도가 높았다. 고용형태별로는 정규직이 '보수'와 '승진'의 직무만족도가 높게 나타난 반면 비정규직은 '상사 및 감독' 요인의 만족도가 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 직급별로는 관리자급이 '보수'와 '복무제도', '승진' 요인과 '전반적 만족도'에서 비관리자급보다 만족도가 높았다. 마지막으로 전공별로는 문헌정보학 전공자가 '직무자체', '복무제도', '승진', '시설환경'에서 비전공자에 비해 직무만족도가 다소 높았다. 이 연구를 통해 전문도서관 직원의 욕구와 감정을 명확하게 이해하고 직무만족의 장애요인을 제거함으로써, 도서관 업무효율성을 제고하기 위한 참고자료로 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.

보육교사의 사회인구학적 변인에 따른 직무환경의 인식 차이 (The Difference of Child-Care Teachers' Perception on the Working Environment by Social and Demographic Characteristics)

  • This study aims to analyze teachers job satisfaction according to the working environment of teachers working in child-care centers and to investigate which variables of the working environment relate to job satisfaction of child-care teachers. The main results of this study were as follows. First, married teachers are more satisfied with the job itself, supervision, and colleague relations compared to teachers who are not married. Teachers with certificates are more satisfied with the job itself compared to teachers without certificates. Second, teachers's job satisfaction is significantly correlated with their salary, welfare, and colleague relations. Also teachers' job satisfaction is correlated with responsibility in the case that teachers have a good relation with their principal and child-care parents. Third, the results of this study show that teachers consider substitute teachers, vacation systems, day care systems, compliant with the ratio of teacher and children, job security, order of legal status as important. With regard to external compensation, teachers want salary increase, payment on overtime labor, flexible work-time, use of both full-time and part-time teachers, expansion of educational materials, increase on purchasing cost for textbooks and materials. To improve the quality of child-care teachers' working environment as well as their satisfaction, practical policies need to be implemented.

대학도서관 사서직원의 동기유발에 관한 조사연구 (A study on the motivation level of the university librarians in korea)

  • This study is to identified the motivation level which university librarians in Korea perceived as motivating them, and to examine relationship between those motivation level and the demographic characteristics of university librarians. The results of this study are summarized as follows : (1) The factors that the motivation level is higher than the average (3.000) are shown to be human relation (3.399), working itself (3.198), and supervision (3.050), but the other factors : recognition (2.995), communication (2.985), salary (2.892), job evaluation (2.622), job environment (2.619), and promotion (2.126) are shown to be lower than the average. (2) In the results of X$^{2}$ test about the differences of the motivation level among 6 demographic attributes of the population, the attributes shown a significant difference are as follows : Salary : rank ; working terms ; sex ; national university or private one ; qualification. Promotion : rank ; sex ; national university or private one ; qualification. Recognition : rank. Human relation : no significant differences among 6 attributes. Work itself : rank ; sex. Communication : rank ; working terms ; sex ; education background ; qualification. Job evaluation : sex ; education background ; qualification. Job environment : sex ; national university or private one. Supervision : rank ; working terms ; sex ; education background ; qualification.

햄버거 체인점의 관리실태와 종업원 직무만족과의 관계 (Relationship Between Management Practices of Hamburger Chain Restaurants and Job Satisfaction of Restaurant Employees)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the management practices and to measure the degree of job satisfaction of employees of hamburger chain restaurants in Seoul. Management practices were evaluated in terms of service, quality, cleanliness and shift management in 30 hamburger restaurants of 3 domestic and 3 foreign chain brands. Employee job satisfaction was measured by using questionnaires of Job Descriptive Index. 200 employees from the same 30 restaurants were participated in the survey. Results were analyzed by using SAS program in terms of t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation. The results are as follows: 1. The factor of quality got the highest score and cleanliness the second, service the third, and shift management got the lowest score in the evaluation of management practiecs of hamburger chain restaurant. The foreign brands showed significantly higher scores than the domestic ones in every measured factors. 2. The factor of coworkers got the highest score and then supervision, the work-itself, promotion and pay got the next highest scores in descending order in measured Job satisfaction. The foreign brands showed significantly higher scores than domestic ones in JDI. 3. The foodservice employees rated work-itself was considered by employees the most important job satisfaction factor, and the next important factor was pay and then coworkers, supervision, and promotion. 4. The significant positive relationship between management practice factor of shift management and all the factors of job satisfaction except the factor of pay were found.

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the levels of job satisfaction of foodservice employees in the welfare facilities for the elderly. The levels of job satisfaction of foodservice employees were as follows: 1 Mean job satisfaction scores for five job factor were ordered co-workers, supervision, work itself, pay and promotion. 2. Demographic factors of the job satisfaction scores were studied. Employees who work with the dietition were satified with the supervisor and promotion. And temporory employees were more satisfied with pay than regular employees.

  • In the modern industrial society, the management of human resources is regarded as an area as much important as the management itself. The development of human capacity is required to accomplish upgrading human resources quality. The objective of this study aims to seek the way to solve the problem of the job satisfaction of diner out company employee. The collecting data is analyzed by sass which is one of the computer. programs. This empirical research result shows some facts as follows : First, Significant differences between male and female in regard to job satisfaction were found. Second, No significant differences between unmarried and married in regard to job satisfaction were found. Third, Significant differences were found in the accomplishment and communication factor of job satisfaction according to the age, Fourth, Significant differences were found in the hard work environment and accomplishment factor of job satisfaction according to the education Fifth, Significant differences were found in the hard work environment factor of job satisfaction according to the major. Sixth, Significant differences were found in the wages, accomplishment , communication factor of job satisfaction according to the position. Seventh, Significant differences were found in the accomplishment and affinity factor of job satisfaction according to the period of the job. Eighth, Significant differences were found in the duty trait factor of jobs satisfaction according to the level of the pay. Ninth, Significant differences were found in the duty trait factor of job satisfaction according to the kind of the job. Tenth, Significant differences were found in job satisfaction according to the kind of diner out company.

요양보호사의 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (The Study on Job Satisfaction of Care Helpers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate Job Satisfaction of Care Helpers. Method: Subjects included 306 Care Helpers. working at geriatric care facilities; these data were collected from May 4 to May 15, 2012. The SPSS WIN 12.0 program was used for statistical analysis of collected data, including actual number, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, one way ANOVA, and Cronbach alpha coefficient. Results: 1. The average Job satisfaction was 3.76 and the average of each job satisfaction was the task (3.83), co-worker (2.23), and job turn over (2.25). 2. The satisfaction of the job itself, depending on back ground, had a significantly effect on age, protective person for a day, duty pattern, contract pattern, and motive. 3. The job satisfaction of human relationships, depending on their back ground, had a significant effect on degree, care-giving experience, duty place, protective person for a day, duty pattern, contract pattern, and duty motive. 4. The Job satisfaction of job turn over, depending on back ground had an. effect on job satisfaction statistically: age, degree, duty place, protective person for a day, duty pattern, and motive. Conclusion: These results found showed to contribute to job satisfaction of care helpers.
