Methods: Data were collected by self-report questionnaires measuring Adult attachment style, Organizational commitment, Job satisfaction and Job stress from a convenience sample of 253 shift nurses in a hospital. Results: There were security style (31.2%), dismissing-avoidance (18.6%), preoccupation (17.8%) and fearful-avoidance (32.4%) among 4 attachment styles in these shift nurses. Their organizational commitment level (M=3.2), job satisfaction (M=2.7) and job stress (M=3.3) were revealed. Subjects who were in security attachment style showed significantly higher scores of organizational commitment (F=5.09, p=.002) and job satisfaction (F=13.02, p<.001) than subjects in fearful-avoidance attachment style. Meanwhile, this study showed that subjects who were in fearful-avoidance attachment style recorded significantly higher scores of job stress than subjects in any other attachment style (F=3.15, p=.026). Conclusion: This study demonstrated a relevant difference in organizational commitment, job satisfaction and job stress in accordance with the attachment style of shift nurses. These results indicate the need for attachment promotion program for shift nurses. And nurses' attachment styles should be considered in future interventions to enhance quality of nursing care.
This study was designed to identify the adult attachment style among hospital nurses, and to examine its effect on nurses' job stress and organizational commitment. Self-administered survey questionnaires with structured instruments were developed, and a total of 281 responses from five small to medium-sized hospitals were used for statistical analyses with SPSS Windows version 24.0 program. Major findings of the study are three fold. First, among the four styles of adult attachment, found in 30.6% of survey respondents, stability style was the most popular, followed by fear style(28.5%), disregard style(24.2%), and devotion style(17.8%). Second, according to the general characteristics of study participants, adult attachment style showed a significant difference in age($x^2=23.29$, p=.025). Third, multiple regression analyses showed that hospital nurses with the fear style among other adult attachment styles had a significantly higher job stress compared to those with the stability style. The fear style also affected the nurses' organizational commitment level in a negative way, but the effect was only marginal. Results from this study suggest that customized program based on the nurses' adult attachment style should be developed to enhance their organizational commitment while reducing job stress in small to medium-sized hospitals.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic materials needed to enhance quality of organizational life by identifying the improvements of labor union management in the perspective of hospital organization management. The subjects of this study were 510 employees in 1 University Hospital and 3 General Hospitals in Metro Capital including Seoul. Materials were collected from administrators, nurses and medical technicians in target hospitals from April 26 to May 7, 2004 through survey questionnaires. The main results of this study were as follows: First, From the results of multiple regression analysis to identify major influencing factors of labor union commitment level, In University hospitals, males than females, and those who had senior officer posts in labor union showed higher positive correlation with the attitude of their colleagues. In general hospitals, those who had served in Union for shorter period showed higher commitment in union. Second, When looking into the major influencing factors on the level of commitment in labor union according to their jobs, male administrators showed higher positive correlation in the level of commitment in labor union and the relationship with union. Among nurses, those who had lower education level, those who had higher job satisfaction, those who had higher emotional attachment to their job, those who had better relationship with union and better satisfaction in union showed higher commitment level. To summarize study results, the level of commitment in labor union depends on job satisfaction, managers' attitudes, emotional attachment to their jobs, union satisfaction factors, their colleagues attitudes toward union and thee atmosphere of employer-employee relationship. Therefore hospital managers should have democratic and flexible attitudes toward labor union. Moreover, as managerial factors of the principal of hospital influence union commitment directly, the attitudes of hospital managers toward union and transparency of hospital management should be improved.

Ultimately, it was necessary to identify the need for a secure attachment to improve the quality of clinical dental hygienist's services. Methods: Data of 454 clinical dental hygienists working in dental hospitals or clinics were collected. The research tools consisted of items related to the general and work characteristics of dental hygienists (9 items), adult attachment styles (36 items), organizational commitments (12 items), occupational stress (15 items), and interpersonal relations (18 items). Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of each tool was ${\geq}0.7$. Results: Most of the participants had fearful attachment styles, followed by dismissing-avoidance, security, and preoccupation. Security was the highest level of organizational commitment according to the adult attachment style, although the differences of the levels were insignificant. For occupational stress, preoccupation was the highest, followed by fearful, security, and dismissing-avoidance, and the differences were significant (p<0.001). For interpersonal relations, security was the highest, followed by preoccupation, dismissing-avoidance, and fearful in order, and the differences were significant (p<0.001). Conclusion: Job stress and interpersonal relation ability according to the adult attachment style of clinical dental hygienists had significant results. Thus, the development of attachment improvement programs by personal style, development of differentiated clinical education and its application, and improvements in the adult attachment styles of clinical dental hygienists would be required rather than simply presenting the needs to collectively improvement the working environment.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect that completing long-term on-site training with varying grades of success had on the job satisfaction of former university students after obtaining employment. Although the grades themselves achieved during long-term on-site training did not directly affect job satisfaction, positive effects on job satisfaction were shown due to the mediating effects of job match and organizational commitment. The results of this study are as follows: First, it was found that employees who participated in long-term on-site training showed different results in belonging and attachment to their organizations according to their achievement. The higher the grades during long-term on-site training, the higher the degree of reported job match and organizational commitment, suggesting a positive correlation with job satisfaction. Therefore, long-term on-site training should not be operated as simply a program for temporary experiential learning, but instead should be optimized by companies and schools to motivate their students to achieve high grades for the purpose of their future job satisfaction.
Objectives: This study was conducted to identify differences in job stress, satisfaction and commitment of cooking employees working in hotel kitchens with and without HACCP systems. Methods: Culinary employees of 12 five-star hotels were surveyed and 504 valid data were used for SPSS analysis. Sub factors of working environment factors (job stress, job satisfaction, and job commitment) were examined for analysis. Results: The results showed that hotels that implemented the HACCP system had significantly higher values for the five sub factors of employee job stress (job demand, relationship conflict, organizational system, lack of job autonomy, and job instability; p<0.001). For the sub factors of job satisfaction (internal and external satisfaction) statistic showed a statistically significant value in hotels that did not implement the HACCP system (p<0.001). Job attachment and job importance, which are sub factors of job commitment, showed no difference in relation to the implementation of HACCP system, and job responsibility showed a higher p-value in hotels that did not implement HACCP (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results of the study indicate that culinary employees working at venues with HACCP systems have more job related stress, lower job satisfaction and partially less job commitment. Based on this outcome, venues that have already implemented or are planning to implement HACCP systems should consider the implications regarding their management of employees. Managerial policies that enhance autonomy, job stability, achievement, self-development, promotion, and compensation should also be implemented. Finally, meticulous attention and high investments into the work environment and human resources are necessary.
