1990년대 후반 3D Printer를 활용한 CAD/CAM 시스템의 도입은 주얼리 산업에 많은 변화를 가져오게 되었다. 2009년 FDM방식의 특허 만료를 시작으로 주요 특허가 풀리면서 저가의 3D Printer가 주얼리 산업에 보급되었다. 주얼리 대량생산프로세스는 3D Printer가 생산라인의 한 부분을 차지하는 직접제조 프로세스로 변화할 것이다. 이러한 변화에 본 연구는 3D Printer를 활용한 주얼리 제조 프로세스를 제시하고, 다른 색상의 이종금속이 접합된 주얼리 시제품을 제작하였다. 이를 통하여 3D printer의 활용범위를 높이고, 주얼리 대량생산 방법의 다양성을 제시하였다.

Global luxury jewelry brands had begun to launch their direct businesses in Korea since the 1990s, and have attained fast growth by holding events reflecting their philosophies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the background of their growth by examining the types and roles of events in Korea held by luxury jewelry brands. For the research method, the quantitative and qualitative analysis were performed about domestic events of Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Bvlgari, Chaumet, and Van Cleef & Arples during the period from 1990 to 2013. Also, theoretical study was reviewed. The results are as follows. The events are largely classified into jewelry exhibitions, jewelry shows, wedding fairs, and hybrids. The roles of such events were, first, the artification of products and, second, the contemporization of traditions. According to the findings of this study, luxury jewelry brands transmitted new emotions and values to their customers through their events in Korea, and extended their influence continuously over the Korean high-end jewelry market.

본 논문은 장신구에 내재하고 있는 상징적 의미에 대한 연구이다. 상징적 의미란 상징의 여러 속성들 중 의미와의 연관관계를 말하는 것이다. 장신구를 사용하는 것은 인류 문명사의 초기에서부터 나타나는 본능적 행위이다. 인간은 자신을 치장하기 위한 장식적인 목적이나 바라는 바를 이루기 위한 주술적인 이유에서 권력이나 힘을 과시하기 위한 수단으로 또는 사랑이나 그리움 등의 감정을 전달하기 위해서 등 다양한 목적으로 장신구를 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 여러 종류의 장신구들 중 상징적 성격이 가장 강하게 나타나는 반지를 중심으로 장신구의 상징적 의미를 역사적 배경 속에서 살펴보았다. 고대 중세에는 상징성이 강하게 나타나며 근대와 현대에 이르러 약해지는 경향을 보인다. 또, 고대 중세에는 공통성, 보편성을 가진 의미가 많은 반면, 근대 이후 현대에는 개인적이고 사적인 의미가 증가하였다. 시대별로 장신구의 의미들은 시대상황과 연관관계를 맺으며 조금씩 변화하였지만, 장신구는 어떠한 시대상황에서도 우리의 마음속에 의미와 상징을 불러일으키며 인간의 내면의 사상과 감정을 표현하는 역할을 한다.

The article aims to consider the role of computer technologies in contemporary jewelry art. The importance of computer programming, 3D-modeling and 3D-printing for the process of jewelry creating, its advertising and sales is emphasized. Both the positive features of the possibility of using computer technologies in jewelry and their shortcomings are considered. The process of changing the nature of jewelry design after the start of the use of digital technologies is highlighted. The issue of changing the perception and evaluation of a work of jewelry art, the creation of which uses mechanization, has been updated.

Although several methods including composite resin restoration and microabrasion have been used for management of white spot lesion, tooth jewelry can be considered as another noninvasive option. This case report describes the management of white spot lesions by using tooth jewelry. This report also highlights the patients' preference for tooth jewelry as an esthetic concern.

주얼리(Jewelry) 관련 산업 사회인식전환은 교육이론과 실무자의 책임의식 변화가 선행 되어야 한다. 이 논문은 주얼리 산업 중 주얼리 디자인에 관한 관심과 증가가 이어져 문화경영으로서 비젼(Vision)과 가능성을 가져 올 것인가에 대한 논의로 주얼리 디자인의 논리적 체계화와 주얼리 디자이너의 윤리적 교육과정이 차세대 주얼리 문화산업에 미치는 영향력에 대하여 조사하였다. 세계의 주얼리 산업 중 이탈리아의 주얼리 교육과 산업을 통해 주얼리 디자인의 존재방식과 최근 트렌드, 소비 형태에 따른 디자인 경영의 새로운 콘텐츠와 사례들을 들어 분석함으로서 국가적 경쟁력을 넘어 선 미래의 문화 산업으로의 발전 가능성과 그에 동반하는 주얼리 교육의 윤리적 철학의 기초를 제공하였다. 디자이너의 지각과 행동이 디자인의 존재방식과 경영에 공감과 감성이라는 주얼리 디자인의 새로운 전통의 기반을 제공하는 것에 의의를 찾고자 한다.

본 논문은 산업전반에 빠르게 도입되어가고 있는 3D프린팅 기술을 이용하여 주얼리 디자인에 적용하기 위해 시작되었다. 선행연구를 살펴본 결과 디자인 분야에서는 3D출력 방식중 FMD방식이 가장 많이 사용되고 있었다. 하지만 주얼리 디자인에서는 3D프린팅은 제작과정 중 주조 과정에 사용되고 있어 출력방식이 FMD가 아닌 DLP방식을 사용하고 있다. 따라서 연구자는 DLP방식의 3D프린팅을 활용하여 주얼리 디자인에 응용함으로서 주얼리 디자인의 재료적 기능과, 활용 가능성에 대해 연구 작품을 통해 알아보았다. 그 결과 3D프린팅 출력 후 주조과정 없이 주얼리 디자인에 응용하고 에나멜, 정은 등을 함께 활용하여 브로치를 완성함으로서 가볍고 단단하며 다양한 색상의 완성품을 제작하여 적용 가능한 재료임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 기하학 구조가 아닌 주얼리 디자인에서 주로 사용되는 곡선적 디자인을 Rhino CAD로 크기와 형태를 정확히 예측할 수 있어 향후 주얼리 디자인 조형 형태 전개에 쉽게 활용할 수 있는 다양한 발전 가능성을 엿 볼 수 있었다.

아르누보는 예술을 새롭게 개혁하여 젊게 만들고자 하는 목적에서 출발하였다. 역사상의 양식 모방에 반기를 들어 삶과 주변 환경의 총체적 변혁을 포괄하는 현대적이며 시류에 맞는 양식을 요구하는 운동이었다. 장신구 또한 이전의 양식에서 탈피한 새로운 양식을 구축하고자 하였으며 소재와 재료의 새로운 시도와 함께 장인적 기술력이 강조된 섬세한 장신구가 선보였다. 아르누보의 양식은 유럽 전반에 각기 나라의 문화에 맞추어 다양하게 전개되었으며, 짧지만 강렬하게 20세기 이후 양식의 기초가 되었다. 아르누보 이후의 장신구는 산업과 예술 장신구로 나뉘어 발전을 거듭해왔으며 현대에 이르기까지 많은 발전에 영향을 미쳤다. 아르누보는 장신구를 재화의 가치를 넘어서 예술적 가치로서의 확립을 이끌었다. 아르누보의 다양한 조형성을 통해 표현된 심미적 장신구와 생산력과 기능성에 치우친 단조롭고 귀보석 중심의 현대 장신구 디자인과는 차이를 갖는다. 현대에는 개성과 자아표출을 중시하는 문화 예술의 시대로 창의적, 독창적인 디자인을 추구한다. 따라서 시대적 배경과 사상을 통해 표현된 아르누보의 다채로운 색상 표현과 다양한 소재와 모티프의 장신구 양식은 현대 장신구의 새로운 디자인 개발 과 디자인 흐름을 이끌어 가기위한 귀감이 될 것으로 본다.

현대생활에서 보석은 장신구, 액세서리와 문화 상품 등에 많이 사용되고 있으며, 천연과 합성보석을 이용한 비즈 주얼리가 큰 인기를 얻으면서 연령대와 상관없이 보편화, 대중화되었다. 그러나 비즈 보석 시장의 규모가 커짐에도 불구하고 비즈용 보석디자인은 외국의 연마법에 의존하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 비즈 주얼리는 물론 웨딩상품, 문화상품, 지역기념품에 사용 가능한 비즈용 보석디자인을 개발하였다. 다양한 비즈용 보석디자인을 제안함으로써, 보석디자인에 대한 부족한 이해와 관심을 고조시키고 보석과 장신구산업 활성화에 기여한다.

To satisfy consumers' desire to enjoy their own individuality and cultural trends, the discovery of various materials and the expression of materials embodying their characteristics are increasingly important in the fashion jewelry industry. This study examines, paper mulberry fiber, a raw material of hanji that has been excavated as a new material for fashion jewelry, is durable as wall as, soft and easy to form, has a unique texture along with, excellent aesthetic quality, and expresses various colors, thereby differentiating itself from traditional fashion jewelry materials. The material itself also has symbolic significance as an approach to discovering new sustainable materials for fashion jewelry to ensure increased specificity of the product based on the premise of freedom of expression. The weight and optimal drying time of chicken fiber were derived for the study of fashion jewelry expression using the characteristics of paper mulberry fiber. The techniques of casting, deflection, packing and winding (winding beads with fibers and straps) were derived and four brooches were produced in total. This study is meaningful for the future of, the fashion jewelry industry as it presents the uses of new materials such as paper mulberry fiber to induce multidisciplinary consumption and to suggest a direction for the creation of new value-added products. Further, in order to expand the realm of fashion jewelry industry with our own competitive products that have secured our cultural identity and uniqueness in the global market, there must be continued follow-up research on mass production methods for industrialization.
