The instability analysis of submerged gas flow into liquid is studied, which assumes gas and liquid as viscous and irrotational. At low mass flow rate of gas, injected gas plume is collection of bubbles, and increase of gas flow rate makes plume as a jet. It is well known that the transition from bubbling to jetting occurs in the transonic region. But previous works neglect viscous effect of gas flow into liquid. This paper concerns about an application of viscous potential flow theory in cylindrical gas flow into liquid. The growth rate versus wave number and mach number is compared with various condition including inviscid and viscous flow.

The PSP(Pressure Sensitive Paint) is a technique to measure continuous pressure distribution on medel surface by oxygen quenching. The objective of this study is to apply PSP which is measured pressure for analyzing that air-fuel mixing characteristics in SCRamjet combustor. Experimentation is performed at freestream Mach number of 2.5 and used fuel jet injection. The result shows that growing air-fuel mixed proportions by increasing in cavity size. Also, PSP results compared with conventional pressure tap and CFD. They are coincided with qualitative and the inclination.
Thrust vector control is the method which generates the side force and roll moment by controlling exhausted gas directly in a rocket nozzle. TVC is classified by mechanical and fluid dynamic methods. Mechanical methods can change the flow direction by several objects installed in a rocket nozzle exhaust such as tapered ramp tabs and jet vane. Fluid dynamic methods control the flight direction with the injection of secondary gaseous flows into the rocket nozzle. The tapered ramp tabs of mechanical methods are used in this paper. They installed at the rear in the rocket nozzle could be freely moved along axial and radial direction on the mounting ring to provide the mass flow rate which is injected from the rocket nozzle. TVC of the tapered ramp tabs has the potential to produce both large axial thrust and high lateral force. We have conducted the experimental research and flow analysis of ramp tabs to show the performance and the structural integrity of the TVC. The experiments are carried out with the supersonic cold flow system and the schlieren graph. This paper provides to analyze the location of normal shock wave and distribution of surface pressure on the region enclosed by the tapered ramp tabs.
A hybrid model consisting of a modified TAB (Taylor Analogy Breakup) model and DVM (Discrete Vortex Method) is proposed for numerical analysis of the evaporating spray phenomena in diesel engines. The simulation process of the hybrid model is divided into three steps. First, the droplet breakup of injected fuel is analyzed by using the modified TAB model. Second, spray evaporation is calculated based on the theory of Siebers'liquid length. The liquid length analysis of injected fuel is used to integrate the modified TAB model and DVM. Lastly, both ambient gas flow and inner vortex flow of injected fuel are analyzed by using DVM. An experiment with an evaporative free spray at the early stage of its injection was conducted under in-cylinder like conditions to examine an accuracy of the present hybrid model. The calculated results of the gas jet flow by DVM agree well with the experimental results. The calculated and experimental results all confirm that the ambient gas flow dominates the downstream diesel spray flow.
The effervescent atomizer is one of twin-fluid atomizers that aeration gas enters into bulk liquid and two-phase flow is formed in the mixing section. The effervescent atomizer requires low injection pressure and small amount of aeration gas, as compared to other twin-fluid atomizers. In this study, cold flow test was conducted to investigate the spray characteristics of aerated impinging jets. The present effervescent impinging atomizers were composed of the aerator device and like-on-like doublet impinging atomizer which had different impinging angles. To analyze the spray characteristics such as breakup length and droplet size distribution, the image processing technique was adopted by using instantaneous images at each flow condition. Non-dimensional parameters, induced by the homogeneous flow model, were used to predict the breakup length. The breakup length was decreased with the mixture Reynolds number and impinging angle increasing. The result of droplets showed that the size distribution was axisymmetric about the center of the injector and their diameter tended to decrease with increasing GLR.
Ejector is an equipment devised for making use of the low pressure occurring from the fast fluid injection and it is a transportation equipment which can obtain vacuum using the kinetic energy of the fluid. This ejector system is, nowadays, widely used for construction machinery, heavy equipments, the cooling and ventilation of electronic devices and for the various fluid transportation and pumps. In this study, it is attempted to perform a numerical analysis and an experiment to find out the characteristics of fluid quantity, velocity and the pressure distribution of the induction pipe by changing the length and the radius ratio of the nozzle of ejector. From the results, it is investigated that the distributions of velocity and pressure of induction pipe attached are changing with the length and the radius ratio of the nozzle. In addition, it is shown that for the small and large ejector, the efficiency is the maximum when the length of the nozzle arrived to the neck of the ejector, however, if it is installed at below or above the neck the efficiency is rather decreased.

Liquid rocket injectors play crucial roles on propulsive performance, combustion stability, and heat transfer characteristics. Nevertheless, their developments have mainly relied on empirical methods and expensive hot-firing tests due to lack of fundamental understanding of high pressure combustion phenomena in the near-injector regions. The present study was motivated by recent efforts to develop reliable modeling of liquid rocket combustion. The turbulent combustion model based on the flamelet concept has been extended to take into account real-fluid behaviors occurred at supercritical pressures, and validated against measurements for a cryogenic nitrogen injection, a non-premixed turbulent jet flame at atmospheric pressure, and a LOx/$GH_2$ coaxial shear injector at a supercritical pressure.
Four pluriparous Korean black goat does were superovulated with FSH and mated with fertile bucks. Anesthetized animals were placed in lateral recumbency, then size 8 Foley catheter was inserted into the uterus through the cervix under the vaginal speculum and the balloon was inflated to fix the catheter in the uterine body. The opposite end of the catheter was connected to a 3-way and a flushing medium was infused into the uterus. Modified Dubecco's PBS with 1% FBS was used as the flushing medium. Four goats were allocated in two groups depending on the type of medium infusion into uterus. Injection group; the flushing medium was injected into uterus and the infused medium was collected by to-and-fro method using a syringe. Gravity-flow group; the flushing medium was allowed to enter the uterus by gravity flow by lifting the medium bottle and drained out of the uterus into a collecting tube. All four goats had catheter inserted through the cervix and uteri flushed successfully. The volume (recovery rate) of recovered medium varied considerably from 87 ml/200 ml (43.5%) to 148 ml/160 ml (92.5%). Nine embryos/ova in total were recovered from Gravity-flow group goats. Although the embryo recovery rate was low, the possibility of a transcervical embryo recovery in Korean black goat had been proven in this preliminary experiment.

The spray cross-section characteristics of two-phase spray that using external-mixing nozzle injected into a subsonic cross flow were experimentally studied with various ALR ratio that is $0{\sim}59.4%$. Suction type wind tunnel was used and experiments were conducted to ambient environment. Several plain orifice nozzles with L/d of 30 and orifice diameter of 0.5 mm and orifice length 1.5 mm were tested. Free stream velocity profiles at the injection location were measured using hot wire. Spray images were captured to study collision point and column trajectory. Phase Doppler particle analyzer(PDPA) was utilized to quantitatively measuring droplet SMD, volume flux. Measuring probe of PDPA positions was moved 3-way transverse machine. SMD distributions were layered structure and peaked at the top of the spray plume and low value at bottom of the spray. Volume flux of spray was distributed to the two side region and volume flux quantity decreased when ALR ratio increased. It was found that the perpendicularly injected two-phase spray jet of external mixing into a cross flow showing that mistlike spray moved away from the test section bottom region.
