Within the article, strategic guidelines for the modernization of microeconomic systems are identified. Modernization levels of the potential implementation are formalized for enterprises: contractile, extensive technical, technological, progressive, adaptive, steady, intensive, creative, absolute and leader modernization. This allowed to specify the directions and tasks of the enterprise modernization at different management levels. Accordingly, the conditions and criteria for selecting resource tools are set. It is proved that the strategies of the potential modernization of enterprises must be carried out at four main management levels: first, at the enterprise level; secondly, for a particular type of product / service; third, by functional directions of modernization of separate spheres of the enterprise activity or responsibility, fourth, at the level of structural units of the enterprise. It is substantiated that in the processes due to the activation of the potential modernization, the resources are transformed into the results of the innovation implementation and the investment strategies modernization. A system of tasks for the corporate strategies implementation in order to modernize microeconomic systems has been formed. Key vectors of the activation determine the nature and properties of investment resources and necessary innovations to enhance the modernization potential. Therefore, the system of innovation and investment strategies' modernization, based on the vector and resource provision of the modernization process, is specified:

This paper analyzes the economic effects of the S&T Innovation, R&D, human resources and investment on the economic growth using 18 countries. We have obtained the somewhat mixed results on the existence of unit root roots in variables. While most of Pedroni cointegration tests show that there are no panel cointegration among the variables, Kao cointegration test shows that there is the panel cointegration among the variables such as GDP, human capital, R&D investment and patent. Kao cointegration test result shows that human capital, R&D investment, patent economic growth seem to have the panel cointegration or the long-run relationship among them as a whole. The estimation results of individual OLS and panel estimation show that the human capital, R&D investment and technology innovation or patent had positively significant effects on economic growth or GDP.

본 연구는 2012년 과학기술정책연구원(STEPI)의 기술혁신조사(KIS)를 이용하여, R&D협력과 내부R&D투자와의 양방향성 관계를 규명하고, 내부R&D투자와 R&D협력이 기술혁신성과에 주는 효과를 분석하였다. 우선 기업의 내부R&D투자와 R&D협력 간의 상호 작용에 관해서는 두 개의 방정식을 설정하고 SUR 모형으로 동시에 추정하였고 내부R&D투자와 R&D협력이 기업의 기술혁신성과에 미치는 효과는 Probit 모형으로 추정하였다. 국내 R&D 활동에 관한 기존 문헌들과는 달리 본 연구는 R&D협력, 내부R&D투자 및 기술혁신과정의 구조적 체계를 감안하여 종합적인 분석을 제시하고자 하였다. 분석결과, R&D협력과 내부R&D투자의 관계는 서로 양방향의 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 확인하였고 내부R&D투자는 기술혁신 실현 가능성을 높인다는 점을 발견하였다. 결론적으로 내부R&D투자와 R&D협력 간의 양방향성과 보완성이 존재하므로 이러한 기능을 높이는 것이 R&D시스템의 효율성 제고에 도움이 된다는 정책적 시사점을 도출하고 있다.

The researches on cyclical patterns of R&D investment has a long history in developed economies since the Schumpeterian hypothesis that long-term productivity-enhancing innovative activities increase during recession. But in Korea the cyclical patterns of R&D investment is one of the unexplored academic areas. Unlike theoretical explanation of R&D's cyclical pattern, empirical results has shown that R&D investment is procyclical to business cycles in developed countries. This paper investigates whether Korean R&D investment show procyclical or countercyclical pattern to business cycles. The empirical results show that Korean R&D investment in private area is procyclical to business cycles with statistical significance, which confirms the credit-constraint theory's prediction, while public area's is not sensitive to them. Public R&D investment has long-term investment characteristics and can be utilized to stabilize procyclically-fluctuating private R&D investment.

In this paper, we present a case study of a new emerging business startup involved in smart house appliances. The irreversible investment concept and real-option theory are introduced as the fundamentals of the model. By using games theory we show that the startup's actions can trigger reactions from other firms. The first part covers initial the research and development stage, while the second part covers production and commercialization. The findings of this study suggest that, given a certain amount of initial investment, an open and shared innovation may lead to hurting a firm's investment while strengthening the competitors' position in the market. However, given the sensitivity analysis, when volatility and demand grow favorably, sharing R&D investment is not a bad option for a new player to adjust its position in the market while still maintaining positive returns.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze empirically the relationship between market structure, measured by Herfindahl-Hershmann Index(HHI), and financial factors, and innovation in Korean industry panel datasets for 2000-2006. Results show that debt ratio and scale of the firm has a consistent positive effect on the investment in research and development. As more scale of the firm is getting bigger, the investment in R&D decrease. Also, as more debt ratio of firm rise, the investment for innovation increase. Concentration ratio, the HHI and the classification factor of High-tech industry and Low-tech industry has a consistent positive effect on the innovation. Factors affecting the investment in research and development include market structure and characteristics of industry as well as the internal affairs of the firm.

본 연구는 액셀러레이터 보육프로그램을 경험한 스타트업 대표자를 대상으로, 액셀러레이터 보육프로그램(멘토링, 초기투자)와 창업자기효능감이 경쟁우위성과에 영향을 주는지 실증분석을 하였고, 이때 혁신역량의 매개효과도 함께 살펴보았다. 표본의 수집은 전국 액셀러레이터, 창조경제혁신센터 등이 보육한 스타트업 대표자 대상으로 수집한 334건의 표본을 Smart PLS 4.0 프로그램을 사용하여 가설을 검정하였으며, 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 멘토링은 경쟁우위성과에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않지만, 초기투자와 창업자기효능감은 경쟁우위성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 멘토링, 초기투자, 창업자기효능감은 혁신역량에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 혁신역량은 경쟁우위성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 혁신역량은 멘토링, 초기투자, 창업자기효능감과 경쟁우위성과 간에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 매개효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 결과적으로 멘토링은 경쟁우위성과에 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 주지 않지만, 혁신역량을 매개로 하여 유의한 영향이 있음을 확인되었으며, 초기투자, 창업자기효능감, 혁신역량은 경쟁우위성과에 직접적으로 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났고, 혁신역량이 매개 작용으로 경쟁우위성과에 영향 관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 스타트업의 경쟁우위성과를 높이는 데 도움이 될 수 있는 방향을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Many technology investment projects can be considered as set of sequential options. A compound real option can be used for evaluating sequential technology investment decisions under significant uncertainty and measuring its value. In this paper, the formula developed by Geske and Johnson(1984) and Buraschi and Dumas(2001) was applied to evaluate the technology investment with related double real option. Also double real option was com-pared with net present value method and multiple linear regression model was used to assess the partial effects of risk free rate and log-term volatility on its value.

With the limited resources the proper distribution of the national R&D investment is very crucial to improving the national competence. This crucial decision should be based on the priorities which are driven with the consideration about the relative importance among the scientific technology fields. Such priorities can be useful in planning the national R&D investment and in determining the direction of the national R&D investment policy. In this paper, we used the AHP in order to drive systematically and scientifically the priorities of the major science and technology areas in the national R&D investment, and also analyzed the evaluation differences among the expert groups.

본 연구는 ICT산업의 연구개발투자에 따른 비용저감 효과를 계측하는데 그 목적이 있다. 일반적으로 연구개발투자는 제품혁신과 공정혁신을 유발하고, 또 이들은 각각 매출증대와 비용저감 효과를 견인하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 기 수행된 실증연구들을 살펴보면, 그 대부분이 연구개발투자의 매출증대 기여부분에 초점을 두고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 최근 주목받고 있는 ICT산업을 중심으로 연구개발투자의 비용저감 효과를 분석해 보았다. 이를 위해 초월대수 비용함수와 비용점유율 방정식을 설정하였으며, SUR방법을 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 그 분석결과, 연구개발투자에 따른 총비용의 감소효과는 유의한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 추가적으로 연구개발투자와 각 생산요소들 간의 관계를 살펴보았는데, 연구개발투자와 중간투입은 상호 대체관계, 노동 및 자본과는 보완관계인 것으로 나타났다.
