This study was carried out to investigate the fiber length, fiber width and fiber thickness on the longitudinal direction by the parts of culm and also specific gravity in air dry, dyna.mic mechanical properties and internal frictions by the internode and the node in Phyllostachys bambusoides Phyllostachys nigra var. henonis and Phllostachys edulis which were grown in Korea. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The variations of fiber length and fiber width on the longitudinal direction had a tendency to increase slightly from the butt and then to decrease toward the top. but there was not a definite variation for fiber thickness according to the parts of culm. 2. The specific gravity in air dry of internode was increased from the butt toward the top, but the specific gravity in air dry of node was not correlations with the parts of culm. 3. Dynamic Young's modulus of internode on the longitudinal direction was increased according to the heights of culms within each species, and there were in order of P. edulis P. nigra var. henonis and P. bambusoides. 4. Correation coefficients between the specific gravity and the dynamic Young's modulus were 0.837 in P. bambusoides 0.871 in P. nigra var. henonis and 0.935 in P. edulis and there was also highly significant for dynamic Young's modulus between the specific gravities in air dry. 5. There were not correlations between the internal frictions and the parts of internode.

Fifty accessions in Zoysia species and forty-one hybrid lines were evaluated in order to detect analyze the genectic variation of Zoysiagrasses and to obtain the basic information for breeding. 1.Plant height ranged from 13 to 34.5cm, leaf length from 7 to 26cm, leaf width from 2 to 7mm, and first leaf height from 1.1 to 8.5cm 2. The correlations among plant height, leaf length and first-leaf height were high, but leaf Width was correlated only With leaf length. 3. Stolon length was varied from 10 to 108cm, number of stolons from 12 to 53, internode length from 2 to 6.1cm and coverage percentage from 10 to 90%. 4.There were correlation among stolen length, number of stolons, internode length and coverage percentage except between stolen and internode length. 5.M1J and MC2 showed the highest level in stolen length, number of stolons and coverage percentage. Therefore they will be the best breeding materials for the purpose of fast covering. 6.According to the analysis on October 26, 1995, yellow color-change rate of leaves ranged from 5 to 85%, red color-change from 0 to 75% and sum of yellow and red change from 20 to 95%. Speciallty M2M1 and FL-41 kept green color untill early December, indicating that they had the late dormancy. 7. Visual assessment of stolon length and number of stolons, showed similar tendency With actually measured data. 8. Shoot density was very high in M2M1 and S2, and showed negative correlation with leaf width. 9. It is known in Korea that the darker green color of lawngrass is, the better it looks. There were 11 lines with dark green color leaves such as J 85-10, Meyer in Z. japonira, one asacession in Z. matrella and M2M1, M2S8, JM2, 55C2 in hybrid lines.

뽕나무의 절간장과 엽면적 및 엽중과의 상관관계를 구명하고 지조부위별 절간장 엽면적 및 엽중의 변이를 구명하기 위하여 30개의 품종을 품종대상으로 하는 동시에 동일품종내에 있어서의 이들의 상관관계를 알기 위하여 소엽형품종인 개량서반과 대엽형품종인 노상에 대하여 조사한 결과는 아래와 같다. 가. 각성상과 엽면적 및 엽중의 상관은 모두 다음과 같이 정의 상관관계가 있었다. (1) 즉대표품종군에서 절간장과 엽면적 및 엽중은 모두 정의 높은 상관이 있었다. (2) 대표품종군에서 지조장과는 어느 경우나 상관이 없었고 단일품종내에서는 모두 정의 상관이 있었다. (3) 지조의 체적과 엽면적 엽중과는 대표품종군에서나 동일품종내에 있어서 모두 상관이 있었고 특히 개량서반이 가장 큰 상관을 나타냈다. (4) 엽병장과 엽면적 및 엽중과는 대표품적군, 개량서반 및 노상의 모두 놓은 상관을 나타내었다. 나. 지조의 부위별 절간장의 변이는 대부분의 품종이 같은 경향으로 하부인 I부위가 가장 길고 II부위까지 감소하다가 일단 증가한 후 다시 감소하여 선단에서 가장 짧았다. 다. 지조의 부위별 엽면적과 엽중의 변이는 I부위가 가장 작고 IV부위 까지 증가하여 최대가 되고 그 후 감소하였다.

우리나라 수도 품종들의 절간 유관속수 및 통기강수를 절위별로 알아보고 이들과 이삭형질과의 상관관계를 구해 본 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 우리나라 수도 품종들의 절위별 총 유관속수는 상위제 1절간에서 약 23개∼47개로서 품종간에 현저한 차이가 있었다. 그러나 제 2절간 이하에서는 유신품종을 제외하고 품종들간에 큰 차이없이 51개∼59개의 범 위이었다. 2. 통기강은 상위제 1, 2절간에서는 전혀 발생이 없었고 제 5절간에서는 모든 품종이 양호하게 발달하여 21∼31개가 발생하였으며 품종간에 뚜린한 차이를 나타내는 절위는 제 4절간이었다. 3. 절간의 유관속수, 굵기 및 수장, 1,2차지경수, 영화수간에는 매우 밀접한 정의 유의상관이 인정되었다.

페튜니아 5개 계통을 이면교배한 $F_1$ 10개 조합 및 양친에 대한 성 관련 형질인 초장, 초폭, 줄기길이, 줄기수, 절간장, 엽수 및 개회수 등의 형질에 대하여 상호관계 및 조합능력을 분석하였다. 초장은 초폭, 절간장 및 개회수 등의 형질들과, 엽수는 초폭, 줄기수 및 개회수의 형질들과 유의성이 인정되었으며, 특히 초폭과 절간장과의 사이에 고도로 유의한 정의 상관관계를 보였다. 일반조합능력(GCA)은 초장, 초폭, 줄기길이, 절간장, 줄기수, 엽수 및 개화수 등 모든 조사 형질에서 유의성이 인정되었고, 특수조합능력(SCA) 초폭, 줄기수, 엽수 및 개화수 등의 형질에서 유의성이 있었고, 일반조합능력효과가 특수조합능력효과보다 크게 작용하였다. 모본의 일반조합능력검정에서 D계통은 초 장, 초폭, 줄기길이, 줄기수, 엽수 및 개회수의 증가를 위해서, I계통은 초폭, 줄기길이 절간장에 대하여 일반 조합능력이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 특수조합능력 검정에서 초폭 증가에 뚜렷한 유의성을 보인 조합은 $D{\times}I$, $F{\times}I$와 $G{\times}I$조합이었고, 초폭, 절간장 및 개회수를 동시에 증가시키는데 유의성을 보인 조합은 $G{\times}I$조합이었다. 광의의 유전력은 7가지 형질 모두 크게 나타났고, 초폭과 줄기길이 및 절간장은 협의의 유전력도 높게 나타났다.

단간 조숙품종인 그루밀을 재료로 하여 '80년 4월 15일부터 5월 30일까지 5일 간격으로 10회에 걸쳐 유수, 절간, 엽초 등의 길이를 조사한 자료를 가지고 이들 각각의 신장과 상호 관련성을 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 동기간(4월 15일- 5월 30일) 중에 유수는 0.6cm에서 8.3cm로 신장하였으며, 출수전 20일(4월 25일)부터 급신장하기 시작하여 술수전 5일(5월 10일)에 그 신장을 거의 완료하였는데 이 기간 중 일당 4.4mm의 신장을 보였고 가장 신장량이 컸던 시기는 술수전 15일부터 10일 사이로 이 때는 일당 6.5mm씩 신장하였다. 2. 절간장중 제 3절간의 신장도 유수의 신장시기와 거의 일치하였으며 출수전 20일부터 급신장하여 출수전 5일에 그 신장을 완료하였다. 3. 엽초장 중 제 1 엽초의 신장시기와 그 양상이 유수의 신장과 또한 일치하였다. 4 유수는 제3절간장과 $r=.974^{***}$, 제1 엽초장과는 $r=.954^{***}$의 상관을 보였고, 제3절간장은 제1엽초장과 $r=.995^{***}$로 이들은 서로 고도의 유의적인(0.1%) 정의 상관을 보였다.

There were no differences in the yield components such as length of stem and ear diameter of stem number of branch, internode and ear, and yield of fresh and dry stem between the seeding methods with drilling and broadcasting, but yield components such as length of stem and ear, diameter of stem, number of branch, internode and ear, and yield of fresh and dry stem increased with seeding rates of from 2.5$\ell$ /10a to 3.5$\ell$/10a. Therefore potimum rates and methods of sowing were from 2.5$\ell$/10a to 3.5$\ell$/10a with seeding at the drilling and broadcasting.

This study was carried out to research the effect of nutrient composition and GA4＋7 on growth, flower quality and bulb development in special hydroponics of cut tulip. Flowering of 'Cassini' was markedly accelerated by standard+GA4＋7, K200＋GA4＋7, N250＋GA4＋7 treatment, last internode was increased by N250 as compared with other treatment. For 'Christmas Marvel', flowering was promoted by K250＋GA4＋7, last infernode and total length were also increased with K250＋GA4＋7 as compared to other treatment. For 'Golden Apeldoorn', flowering was accelerated by K200＋GA4＋7, last internode was increased with N300＋GA4＋7 treatment and total length was increased in N250＋GA4＋7 treatment as compared with the standard plants. Bulb weight and number of 'Cassini', 'Christmas Marvel'and 'Golden Apeldoorn' were decreased by GA4＋7 as compared to non-treatment, and bulb diameter was not affected by GA4＋7.
