인터넷전문은행의 지속 사용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구: 업무-기술 적합성 이론을 활용하여 (A Study Factors Affecting Continuance Intention of Internet Only Bank: Using Task-Technology Fit Theory)

  • 오늘날 금융 서비스 산업의 패러다임은 모바일 뱅킹으로 이동하고 있으며 각 금융 기업은 다양한 모바일 뱅킹 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 모바일 뱅킹 서비스 혁신으로 인터넷전문은행이 출범하였지만, 출범 후 증가한 가입자 수에 비해 실제 이용자 수는 이에 미치지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 인터넷전문은행 이용자의 지속 사용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 업무-기술 적합(Task-Technology Fit; TTF) 이론을 적용하여 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구 수행을 위해 인터넷전문은행 서비스 사용 경험이 있는 사람들을 대상으로 설문을 실시한 후 측정 모형 분석과 구조방정식 모형 테스트를 수행하였다. 연구 결과 기술 특성과 업무-기술 적합성, 업무-기술 적합성과 지속 사용 의도는 유의미한 상관관계를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 인터넷전문은행 운영자에게 이용자 확보 및 유지 방안의 시사점 제공을 기대한다.

Internet Banking Login with Multi-Factor Authentication

  • Internet banking is one of many services provided by financial institutions that have become very popular with an increasing trend. Due to the increased amount of usage of the service, Internet banking has become a target from adversaries. One of the points that are at risk of an attack is the login process. Therefore, it is necessary to have a security mechanism that can reduce this risk. This research designs and develops a multi-factor authentication protocol, starting from a registration system, which generates authentication factors, to an actual authentication mechanism. These factors can be categorised into two groups: short term and long term. For the authentication protocol, only three messages need to be exchanged between a client and a financial institution's server. Many cryptographic processes are incorporated into the protocol, such as symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, a symmetric key generation process, a method for generating and verifying digital signatures. All of the authentication messages have been proved and analysed by the logic of GNY and the criteria of OWASP-AT-009. Even though there are additional factors of authentication, users do not really feel any extra load on their part, as shown by the satisfactory survey.

  • 현재 전세계에서는 다양한 인증기법을 통해 인터넷 뱅킹을 하고 있다. 특히 강한 사용자 인증 기법으로 OTP(One Time Password)기반의 멀티팩터 인증기법을 사용하고 있으나 정교한 공격에 여전히 취약하다 본 논문은 인터넷 뱅킹 트랜잭션에 부인방지 및 MITB(Man In the Browser Attack)에 대응할 수 있는 서명 기반 프로토콜을 제안하고 있다. 본 프로토콜은 PKI 기반 인증서 및 OTP의 장점을 결합함으로서 정교한 공격에 대응할 수 있는 주요 기능을 제시하고 있으며, 이는 다양한 형태로 현실에 응용될 수 있을 것이다.

Smartphone Banking: The Factors Influencing the Intention to Use

  • In this paper, we investigated the factors affecting the intention to use smartphone banking with a research model based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) extended to include security risk, trust, and self-efficacy. With analysis after controlling factors such as age, gender, and previous experience of smartphone banking that may have effects, we conclude that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, security risk, and trust have direct effect on the intention to use smartphone banking, and self-efficacy has indirect effect on the intention to use through mediation of perceived ease of use. We performed a study to check the validity of TAM in the context of smartphone banking, and confirmed that perceived ease of use has both direct and indirect effect on the intention to use.

  • 유비쿼터스 시대가 도래하고 있는 요즘 디지털 컨버전스의 한 형태인 모바일 뱅킹이 확산되고 있다. 본 연구는 최근, 금융기관의 전략적 경쟁도구로서 자리 잡고 있는 모바일뱅킹의 확산을 지원하기 위하여, 모바일 뱅킹의 수용에 영향을 주는 요인을 찾아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌고찰과 실증분석을 병행하여 모바일뱅킹 서비스의 특징 및 현황을 파악하고 모바일뱅킹의 사용에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 도출하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 지각된 유용성, 서비스 품질 그리고 즉시 접속성이 모바일뱅킹 사용에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났고, 지각된 이용 편이성과 사회적 영향 요인은 그다지 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 통신업체와 금융업체, 그리고 모바일 기술업체 등의 모바일 뱅킹 마케팅/기술 전략에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대되며 앞으로 좀 더 심도 깊은 추가적 연구와 토의가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

  • Mobile technologies and services have become one of the inevitable parts of people's lives and mobile businesses have also been widespread. Popular mobile internet services through cell phones have made people in the financial industry consider that 'mobile' is promising. Nevertheless, there have been little studies of mobile services in the financial industry and most of the studies have been concentrated on internet services. The main purpose of this study is to investigate on the determinants of intention to use mobile banking. To achieve the goal, based on the theoretical backgrounds of the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). Survey questionnaires were distributed via post & email to 500 users who have been experiences with cell phone and have an account. Out of 291 responded questionnaires, 275 data sets were available for statistical analysis with SPSS 10.1. Research hypotheses are analyzed by LISREL 8.30. Factor analysis identified seven external factors : (1) convenience, (2) cost, (3) unusefulness, (4) riskiness, (5) personal innovativeness (6) users' self-efficacy (7) experience of mobile services. Results of this study show that convenience, unusefulness, riskiness, personal innovativeness and experience of mobile services have significant effects on intention to use mobile banking . Much of the previous researches have dealt with service provider only and have focused on mobile internet. In this regard, when it comes to a viewpoint that regards the mobile banking sector as a new sector of mobile businesses. This study may provide a guideline to activate of mobile banking acceptance.

고객 맞춤 웹 컨텐츠 : 국민은행 인터넷뱅킹의 eCRM 사례 (A Customization of Web Contents : The Case of Kookmin Interned Banking eCRM)

  • In trying to bring about online CRM(customer relationship management), companies have paid much attention to eCRM. The key of eCRM is a recommendation system, which is being used by E-commerce sites to find products to purchase. To maintain a constant flow of marketing information and feedback it is important to staying in touch with customers. In this respect, eCRM becomes a serious business tool for sales activities. In this article we present tee case of Kookmin Internet banking eCRM welch is one of the first examples of implementing eCRM in commercial web site in Korea. We examine how Kookmin Internet banking develops eCRM and how it provides customized services to customers. We also explore the role of eCRM in Internet banking and the level of personalization technology used in Kookmin eCRM case.

Intension to Use Mobile Banking: An Integration of Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)

  • The paper is an attempt to study the individual's intention to use mobile banking. In light of the results obtained from the study, the proposed model offers a better fit with the data and explains the intention of individuals to use mobile banking services. Government support, trust, and compatibility significantly contribute to the Perceived behavioral control of a bank customer to use mobile banking while Perceived ease of use, Perceived usefulness, Security and privacy, and risk have a significant positive impact on the attitude of the individuals to utilize mobile banking service. The study uses primary data and the final instrument was administered to 950 respondents, across the country of which 904 data were used for the analysis after editing to accommodate the missing values. The study has adopted structural equation modeling approach to analyze the relationships between the variables in the study. The proposed framework in this study can be utilized to identify the factors that promote the adoption of mobile banking practices and the study also has the potential to provide updated and comprehensive literature on mobile banking, which can accelerate future research in this field.

Lifestyle Segmentation: The Comparison of Islamic and Conventional Banking Customers in Indonesia

  • Understanding customer' lifestyles important for banks because it will guide in determining marketing policies, such as services, pricing, service delivery and promotion decisions. From the customer' lifestyle, banks will know what kind of customers' attitudes, interests and opinions, so they also will understand what the costumer' needs and what services needed by them. For Islamic banks, customers understanding are important because, nowadays, the competition of the banks is not only with other Islamic banks but also with the well-established conventional banks offering Islamic products or services The aims of this research paper are to describe what factors underline the customer's lifestyle of both Islamic and conventional bank, to segment the bank customers based on their lifestyles and investigate the profile of each segments, to compare the characteristics of the segments, and to identify marketing policies based on the characteristics. The population of the study is banking customers in Indonesia, in which the researchers have used judgment sampling as sample selection. There were 186 customers of Islamic banks and 244 customers of conventional bank as respondents in this study. Statistical methods employed were exploratory factor analysis and cluster analysis. The finding of the study shows that there are twelve factor underlining the customers' lifestyle, namely: factor of fashion conscious, internet usage, sports spectator, financial and technology optimism, price sensitivity, independent, compulsive housekeeper, new brand tryer community activities, opinion leader, credit usage, and homebody. In addition, for Islamic banking, there are two market segments, namely fashionable-independent and innovative-social segment. Based on the lifestyle characteristics, the first segment has higher level in factor of fashion conscious, homebody, independent, optimism and price conscious, which is therefore called fashionable-independent segment. On the other hand, the second cluster has higher level in factor of new brand tryer, community minded, sport spectator, credit user, internet usage, opinion leader, and compulsive housekeeper, which is therefore called the innovative-social segment. Furthermore, for conventional banking, there are also two segments, namely persuasive-optimistic and sensitive-independent segment. The first segment has higher level on some factors, namely: opinion leader, optimism, internet usage rate, credit usage level, sport spectator, and new brand tryer. On the other hand, the second cluster is characterized by higher level in factor of price conscious, confidence, community minded, homebody, fashion conscious, and compulsive housekeeper. Managerial implications for the management of Islamic banks could be identified in this study as follows. Firstly, the twelve lifestyle factors of this study could be an alternative view in observe Islamic banking customers. The domination of both the fashionable conscious and the internet usage factor show that the aspects are quite instrumental in perceiving the customer' lifestyles, in which reflects the importance of these two aspects to customers. Secondly, in serving their customers, Islamic banks need to understand the customer lifestyle, in which the lifestyle segments found in this study provide a guide of how their needs were reflected. Finally, by understanding the segments and the characteristics each segment of the conventional banks, Islamic banks could adjust their marketing strategies differently from the conventional banks.

고객의 셀프서비스 테크놀로지로의 전환요인에 대한 실증연구 (A Study on the Determinants of Consumers' Intention to Switch to New Self-service Technologies in Banking Industry)

  • 본 연구는 은행 산업에서 소비자가 기존의 대면 서비스에서 셀프서비스 테크놀로지로 전환하는데 영향을 주는 요인을 도출 하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 선행연구를 바탕으로 고객의 전환의도에 영향을 미치는 선행요인으로, 기존의 서비스에 대한 태도, 은행에 대한 태도, 그리고 전환에 따라 예상되는 결과를 제시하였고, 이들의 관계를 구조방정식모델을 통해 실증하였다. 분석결과 은행직원, 인터넷뱅킹, 그리고 현금입출금기기에 대한 소비자의 태도가 은행에 대한 태도에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 특정 셀프서비스 기기에 대한 태도와 예상 결과 관계에서는, 인터넷 뱅킹과 자동 현금입출금기기에 대한 태도는 유용성과 즐거움의 대한 기대에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 인터넷뱅킹과 은행직원은 사회적 수용에 대한 기대에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 은행에 대한 태도도 역시 즐거움이 직접적 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특정 셀프서비스 기기에 대한 태도와 전환의도와의 관계에서, 인터넷 뱅킹에 대한 태도는 전환의도에 정의 영향을 미치는 반면, 자동 현금입출금기기에 대한 태도는 전환의도에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 예상되는 결과에 대한 기대에서 즐거움과 사회적 수용성은 전환의도에 정의 영향을 미치는 반면, 유용성은 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
