Research on Application of Service Design Methodology in IOT Environment

  • The purpose of this study is to provide empirical and quantitative analysis on user's perceived privacy, security, and user satisfaction when providing visualization information about objects and service provider behaviors that users can not perceive in internet service process. Through previous research, we have examined the importance of privacy and security factors as a key factor to be considered for the characteristics of the Internet of things and the Internet of things. In addition, service blueprint, which is one of the service design methodologies to examine the flow of service usage in providing Internet service of things, was examined. In the flow of things internet service utilization, it is found that the things that are out of the user's cognitive area and the behavior of the service provider take up a large part. Therefore, the hypothesis that the trust of the Internet service security and the satisfaction of the user experience can be improved by providing the security visualization information about the behavior of the object and the invisible service provider in the non-contact aspect of the user and the object. In order to verify the hypothesis, we conducted experiments and questionnaires on the use of virtual objects' internet environment and conducted statistical analysis based on them. As a result, it was analyzed that visual information feedback on non - contact and invisible objects and service provider's behaviors had a positive effect on user's perceived privacy, security, and satisfaction. In addition, we conclude that it can be used as a service design evaluation tool to eliminate psychological anxiety about security and to improve satisfaction in internet service design. We hope that this research will be a great help for the research on application method of service design method in Internet environment of objects.

초등 고학년 학생의 인터넷 중독 실태 및 원인 분석 (Analysis on the Current Status and Causes of 5th and 6th Graders' Internet Addiction)

  • 인터넷 이용 인구가 증가하면서 인터넷 중독이 사회적 이슈로 등장하게 되었고, 인터넷 이용 층의 연령이 점차 낮아지면서 인터넷 중독에 대한 우려는 초등학생에게까지 미치게 되었다. 이러한 추세와 비교할 때, 청소년을 대상으로 한 인터넷 중독 관련 연구들은 상당수 이루어졌으나 초등학생을 대상으로 한 연구는 아직 부족한 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구는 충정북도와 대전지역의 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생들을 대상으로 인터넷 중독의 실태를 파악하고, 인터넷 중독의 원인이 되는 요소들을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 조사 대상의 22.9%가 '초기중독자'로 구분되었다. 인터넷 중독과 관계가 있는 요인으로는 성, 학년, 인터넷 하루이용 시간, 인터넷 이용 목적, 부모와의 관계 만족도, 가족간의 대화 시간, 친구 관계, 학교 생활 만족도등이 유의미한 것으로 분석되었다. 한편 인터넷 중독에 영향을 주는 변수들의 상대적 중요성을 알아본 결과, 인터넷 이용 시간, 부모 관계 만족도, 가족 대화 시간 등이 중독에 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

초등학교 고학년 학생의 인터넷 중독정도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Internet Addiction Proneness in Higher Grade Students at an Elementary School)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors influencing internet addiction proneness and condition of internet use in higher grade students at an elementary school. Method: The subjects consisted of 234 sixth grade students at an elementary school in Gyeonggido. SPSS/Win18.0 was used for analysis of data. Results: Among the subjects, 51.3% had used the internet for more than three years, 89.3% used the internet in their home, and 38.5% used the internet for games. In internet addition proneness, 3.1% were potential risk users and 1.3% were high risk users. Internet addiction proneness differed significantly according to gender, period of internet use, internet access location, and purpose of internet use. Internet addiction proneness showed negative correlation with protective factors and positive correlation with risk factors. The factors affecting the internet addiction proneness were degree of internet use, peer protective factor(support from peer), personal protective factor(self-control), internet access location, and family risk factor(negative communication). These factors accounted for 32.9% of internet addiction proneness. Conclusion: Strategies are needed for improvement of the relationship with the peer group and family communication and to encourage self-control for prevention of internet addiction in elementary school students in community mental health service.

청소년의 인터넷 중독, 충동성, 자기효능감 (Impulsivity and Self-efficacy according to Internet Addiction)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine impulsivity and self-efficacy according to Internet addiction in adolescents. Method: Subjects were middle and high school students in Daegu (N=486). Data were collected by a self-rating questionnaire including demographic data, a Korean version of Internet addiction, impulsivity and self-efficacy. Result: Impulsivity and self-efficacy according to Internet addition were significantly different (F=22.909. p<.001). There were significant correlations between Internet addiction and impulsivity (r=.280. p<01), between Internet addiction and self-efficacy(r=-.288. p<.01) and between impulsivity and self-efficacy (r=-.665. p<.01). Conclusion: These results indicate that the more addictive to the Internet the more impulsive and the less self-efficacious. Therefore, further studies are needed to generalize these results and examine the effects of Internet addiction more broadly.

  • This paper examines internet addiction from the perspective of consumer studies. Internet addiction could be an interesting issue for consumer studies because it is a sort of consumer behavior that has drawn a lot of social concerns in rapidly informatized era. First, the paper explores the status quo of internet addiction in Korea through the analysis of a questionnaire survey. Secondly, it explains causes of internet addiction focusing on alienation in addition to personality and demographic factors. Thirdly, it describes the characteristics of the behavior of internet-addictive users clustered by internet addiction degree. Based on these descriptions and analyses, the study provides suggestions for establishing more effective consumer policies and educational programs to help limit the growth of internet addiction.

청소년의 인터넷 중독, 스트레스와 사회적 지지 (Stress and Social Support According to Internet Addiction)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine stress and social support according to Internet addiction in juveniles. Method: Subjects were middle and high school students in Daegu (N=492). Data were collected using a self-rating questionnaire including demographic data, which was the Korean versions of an Internet addiction scale, a stress scale and a social support scale. Results: Stress and social support were significantly different according to Internet addition. Significant correlations were observed between Internet addiction and stress and between Internet addiction and social support. Conclusion: These results indicate that the more addictive to the Internet a student is, the more stress and the less social support he/she has. Therefore, further studies are needed to generalize these results and examine widely the effects of Internet addiction.

주부의 인터넷 쇼핑에 대한 유용성 인지정도와 활용정도 (The Usefulness Perception and The Use Degree about Internet Shopping of Housewives)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the perception of usefulness and the use degree of search and purchase about internet shopping of housewives. Specifically, this study analyzes the trend of the perception of usefulness and the use degree of internet shopping, and closely examines the influential factors. The major findings are follows: (1) Those who are college-educated, employed, positive about household informationalization, internet-educated, highly capable of the internet, and comfortable with an issue of an effluence of personal data showed high perception of usefulness of internet shopping. (2) Those who are young, college-educated, and employed showed the high use degree of search. Those who are age 20 to 30, college-educated, employed, and at the early stage of family life cycle showed the high use degree of purchase. In addition, those who are positive about household informationalization high in the tendency of innovation and the awareness of time constaints, exposed to the internet education, high in the internet capability, and low in a burden of the internet bills and the effluence of personal data showed the high use degree of search and purchase.

  • This study examined pathways from maternal parenting behavior to adolescents' internet addiction through both self-control and depression/anxiety. Participants were 449 $8^{th}$ and $9^{th}$ graders in Seoul. They completed questionnaires on maternal parenting behavior, adolescents' self-control, depression/anxiety, and internet addiction. Data were analyzed by structural equation modeling. Maternal parenting behavior indirectly influenced adolescents' internet addiction through self-control and depression/anxiety. Self-control and depression/anxiety individually mediated between maternal parenting behavior and internet addition. However, maternal parenting behavior didn't directly affect adolescents' internet addiction. Self-control was influenced by maternal parenting behavior and also played a crucial role in preventing adolescents' internet addiction.

혁신기술수용모델(TAM)을 응용한 인터넷쇼핑행동 고찰 (An Investigation on Consumer's Internet Shopping Behavior Explained By the Technology Acceptance Model)

  • This study investigates internet shopping behavior of consumers. The rapid growth of the internet shopping markets is solely dependent on the voluntary adoption of internet shopping medium by the personal users. But the studies on this topic are very limited. Based on these facts, this study, recognizing the internet shopping medium as an innovation, studies how consumers understand and use innovative internet shopping medium by applying and extending the technology acceptance model proposed by Davis et. al.(1989). The results of the survey on 947 consumer panel reveal that compatibility, system quality have positive impact on the formation of perceived ease of use. And it is also shown that the perceived ease of use, system quality, and compatibility have positive influence on perceived usefulness, but computer-efficacy has no effect on perceived usefulness. Meanwhile, it is confirmed that perceived usefulness and compatibility have positive effect on attitude toward internet shopping behavior, but perceived ease of use has no effect. In addition, perceived security and social norm, as opposed to the hypotheses, are shown to have no effect on internet shopping behavior. Lastly, applications and related limitations are discussed.

Beginning of a New Standard: Internet of Media Things

  • Recently, Internet of Things (IoT) drives a large variety of research, development, and new type of markets. All type of devices and sensors will be part of the Internet of Things and will be able to communicate not only plain data, but also audio-visual, olfactory, and haptic media data. In addition, as the devices and sensors getting smarter, it is highly probable that they can process acquired media and metadata to extract higher level of information (e.g., semantics). To support such enhanced functionalities, ISO/IEC SC29 WG11 (MPEG) starts a new standard project, ISO/IEC 23093, called Internet of Media Things (IoMT) to provide standard data formats and APIs for media things. This paper presents the standardization activities of IoMT focusing on explaining terms, standard scopes, and major media things with their use cases. One of the use cases, an IoT system for a blind pedestrian navigation assistance, is evaluated to prove its effectiveness.
