From 57 primary studies found 26 observed variables for aggregation of effect size in the using "Fixed Effect Model" on this mata-analysis. The article also links the theories that are used in the literature, not considered in the most of primary studies, to the empirical results and recommends global management strategy which is needed for business practical affairs. According to the result, the meta-analysis suggests that the number of employees of a MNC, the geological and cultural differneces between the host country and home country, the country-specific international experience of the MNC and export intensity, the international product diversification, the market growth and the market size of the foreign operations, and resource intensity of the foreign operations, the legal restrictions in the host country and the country risk of the home country do exert a significant effect on the decision between cooperative arrangement and a wholly-owned subsidiary. Conversely, for a large number of variables, no significant relationship seems to exist based on the combined results. This is the case, for example, for factor specificity, the r&d-intensity, the subsidiary size, the assets of the MNC and the sales volume of the MNC.

  • This paper discusses global expansion and global strategies of shipping firms. Acknowledging the lack of research on global expansion by freight transport companies, this paper employs the resource-focused model, and explores "why shipping companies emerge" and "why the strategic behaviour of shipping companies is different in the global market". Despite there being a plethora of theoretical and empirical studies on the international operations of business organisations, it is acknowledged that researchers have largely neglected the issues regarding the international expansion within the freight transport industry. Identifying the general lack of contemporary studies concerning the international behaviour of shipping firms, this study addresses the important gap in our knowledge in the theoretical manner. The theoretical analysis suggests that the shipping company's internal resources can be a real reason for the international market participation.

  • In a duopoly situation, one firm can gain competitive advantage by attracting the price-sensitive customers from its competitor leading to higher profits through higher sale revenue for the competing company. A simulation study in which there are two electric car manufacturers with agent based modelling was conducted in order to verify this contention. The first step consisted of defining the baseline. Simulations of 1000 times and agent-based modelling were conducted with the assumption that company 1 reduced its price to the maximum of 20% thereby contributing to the switch-over of a maximum of 40% of the price sensitive customers of company 2. The results of 1000 simulations and agent-based modelling highlighted that price reduction by company 1 resulted in a significant increase in the number of customers, presumably due to switch-over from company 2 and there was a corresponding increase in revenues from both of the sales avenues. Thus, Company 1 achieved competitive advantage by marketing its cars to the customers of Company 2 using price reduction strategy to attract them. This study has ramifications for companies that aim to sway the price sensitive customers from a competitor.

  • Marketing stress testing is a new method of identifying the company's strengths and weaknesses in a turbulent environment. Technically, this is a complex procedure, so it involves artificial intelligence and machine learning. The main problem is currently the development of methodological approaches to the development of the company's digital model, which will provide a framework for machine learning. The aim of the study was to identify and develop an author's approach to the parameterization of the company's business processes for machine learning-based marketing stress testing. This aim provided the company's activities to be considered as a set of elements (business processes, products) and factors that affect them (marketing environment). The article proposes an author's approach to the parameterization of the company's business processes for machine learning-based marketing stress testing. The proposed approach includes four main elements that are subject to parameterization: elements of the company's internal environment, factors of the marketing environment, the company' core competency and factors impacting the company. Matrices for evaluating the results of the work of expert groups to determine the degree of influence of the marketing environment factors were developed. It is proposed to distinguish between mega-level, macro-level, meso-level and micro-level factors depending on the degree of impact on the company. The methodological limitation of the study is that it involves the modelling method as the only one possible at this stage of the study. The implementation limitation is that the proposed approach can only be used if the company plans to use machine learning for marketing stress testing.
