Data mining technique was used to track student's performance during years studding in college and determine the impact of GPA_SEC on the GPA student rates according to the current academic advising method used on student's status. The study utilized a sample of 5436 individuals were drawn from two colleges in Majmaah University, KSA during 2013-2018 period. The results showed that the student's completion status in terms of graduation, dropout, Stumbling or dismissed was classified according to the average grades of admission from secondary school GPA_SEC. The results show the effect of the current academic advising that most of students gain less grades comparing with GPA_SEC in addition that the higher GPA_SEC was the higher graduation, dropout and dismissed decreased when GPA_SEC was high.. Therefore, the study recommends tracking students academically to evaluate their results of each semester to find out the causes of the deficiencies and addressing them within the departments.

In higher education, integration of technologies - particularly generative artificial intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT - has become increasingly widespread, serving numerous purposes to its stakeholders. While users acknowledge the utility of technology, concerns have emerged regarding its misuses. The present study is designed to investigate authentic perspectives and opinions of college freshman students to critically address the relevant concerns, and suggest meaningful solutions. To this end, seven college freshman student participants were recruited in a four-days-long online questionnaire. Their responses indicated that the college student participants appear to find ChatGPT positive in terms of its practicality and usefulness. However, they also showed concerns about a few potential issues (i.e., possible plagiarism and copyright problems). With recommendations the student participants suggested to reduce the aforementioned problems, the article discusses implications of the findings, providing valuable insights into the balance between implementation of AI technologies and dealing with the associated challenges in higher education in general.

The main purpose of this study was to examine the effect of demographic variables (gender, SES, period of residence in Korea, place of residence, type of program, Korean ability), self-esteem, and acculturative stress on the college adaptation of international college students in Korea. 346 (196 male, 150 female) students from three universities in Jeollanam province completed the Self-Esteem, Acculturative Stress Scale for International Students and The Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ). While gender had no influence on the college adaptation of international college students, SES, period of residence in Korea, place of residence, type of program and Korean ability had significant influences. Also it was found that acculturative stress, type of program, self-esteem and place of residence had significant influence on academic adaptation whereas self-esteem, acculturative stress, type of program, and Korean ability had significant influences on social adaptation. Related to emotional adaptation, acculturative stress, place of residence, and self-esteem were significant variables. Finally, acculturative stress, type of program, self-esteem and place of residence were significant variables of institutional attachment.

In this paper, we apply data mining techniques and machine learning algorithms using R software, which is used to predict, here we applied a regression model to test some factor on the dataset for which we assumed that it effects student performance. Model was built on an existing dataset which contains many factors and the final grades. The factors tested are the attention to higher education, absences, study time, parent's education level, parent's jobs, and the number of failures in the past. The result shows that only study time and absences can affect the students' performance. Prediction of student academic performance helps instructors develop a good understanding of how well or how poorly the students in their classes will perform, so instructors can take proactive measures to improve student learning. This paper also focuses on how the prediction algorithm can be used to identify the most important attributes in a student's data.

Traditionally, students from the Southern world tend to cross their national borders to study abroad. However, in recent times, we have observed a trend in which more and more students, both full-time and short-term, select Southern countries as destinations for overseas education. This paper contributes to the sparse literature on the above phenomenon, examining the case of Vietnam. We surveyed 50 universities and colleges about their international student profiles (including statistics and nationalities) and their strategies for attracting international students. The findings of this study provide implications for Vietnam's policymakers and university/college leaders and other Southern countries when implementing the internationalization of tertiary education.

In this study, for students who gave up their studies midway through college, we investigate the reasons for dropping out of college, analyze the factors that caused students to drop out, and suggest improvement measures to effectively increase the recruitment rate of enrolled students. This study explores measures to increase student enrollment in community colleges. For this purpose, it conducted a survey of students who dropped out of G College between 2018 and 2020 from June 28 to July 9, 2021. Its analysis is based on the results of 53 students who participated in the survey. First, our results suggest that programs to develop interpersonal relationships between students, faculty, and staff are necessary. Such programs will cultivate a culture of solidarity and collective identity among students, which in turn will reinforce positive experiences in college. Moreover, by developing systems to form relationships between faculty and students, colleges can have a feedback mechanism, such as an open-study program, through which they learn what the students want and need. Through this effort, colleges can help their students adjust to campuses and enhance student satisfaction in college. Second, it is necessary to develop various extracurricular programs not only for freshmen but existing students and to run hobby and leisure activity programs. To have continuous, standing extracurricular programs instead of one-time events, colleges should set up specific goals, delivery methods and strategies. Third, colleges should renovate old and outdated buildings and facilities on campus to enhance the quality of campus life. Moreover, more comprehensive improvement of facilities and a campus environment by having various convenient and leisure facilities that meet the needs and demands of students. Fourth, it is suggested to develop programs or systems that help students to more fully engage in campus lives and activities, which in turn increases confidence and self-efficacy among students. Through such programs, students can better adjust to their majors and, therefore, will be less likely to drop out of college.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the positive and negative effects of college student part-time experience on college life. The subjects were 335 college students in Chungcheongnam - do. The data were collected by the self - study questionnaire on general characteristics, part - time experience, university life. There is more positive viewpoints in the Area of Public Health than in other majors and in the third grade and it shows that the higher the grade it is, the more positive viewpoints there is. The longer the period of doing part-time work it is, the more negative viewpoints about the life in the university there is, and it needs to be paid attention to. The factors which affects to the positive viewpoints about the life in the university which needs to be paid attention to was the grade and marks, and the negative viewpoints about the life in the university which needs to be paid attention to was marks, economic status, and the period of doing the part-time work. The factors which affects to the positive viewpoints and the negative viewpoints, there needs to be the clear and detailed education, counselling, and welfare, and based on the conclusion of this research, there needs to be a practical solution to improve the life of the university of the students who are experiencing part-time work.

As the attracting foreign student has become a very important strategy, detailed researches on their college selection and their satisfaction with college life are needed. Especially it is necessary to distinguish ordinary international students and those who take classes in Local Education Centers (LEC) before coming to Korea. The central purpose of this study is to identify how the two types of students differ in their perception of college selection factors and what factors affect their satisfaction with college life. A total of 186 international students participated in the study. It was found that the most important college selection factor of the pre-educated LEC students was 'obtaining academic ability through online classes and transfer of credit hours'. Second, these students reported that the two influential factors for their satisfaction with college life were 'quality of education' and 'cultural experience program'. Third, it was found that the major college selection factors influencing ordinary international students' college life satisfaction were 'expertise of faculty', 'transfer of credit through curriculum links', and 'recommendation from teachers at home country'. Fourth, the major factors affecting the pre-educated LEC students' satisfaction with college life were 'KSL classes at LE's', 'expertise of faculty', and 'financial aid system'.

Present paper aims to examine the effect relation among component factors of WOM effects in on-line. Specially, to examine the comparative study on market maven and early adopter. For that purpose, we categorize WOM effect into two subcategories; knowledge improvement, Image improvement, purchase intention. And as the of study, chose student a college. Through these methods, we were able to obtain participation of 96 people from student a college. Using 68 responses(19 responses removed). we derived statistics by means of Win SPSS Version 12.0 statistics program package. The result can be summarized as follow; First, market maven has stronger WOM Effects in On-line on consumer's knowledge improvement, and Image improvement, purchase intention than early adopter. Second, the market maven has stronger effect on early adopter. Finally, we discuss the results of analysis and suggest research limitation and future and future study.
