  • The 2DBPP(Two-Dimensional Bin Packing Problem) is a problem of packing each item into a bin so that no two items overlap and the number of required bins is minimized under the set of rectangular items which may not be rotated and an unlimited number of identical .rectangular bins. The 2DBPP is strongly NP-hard and finds many practical applications in industry. In this paper we discuss a tabu search approach which includes tabu list, intensifying and diversification Strategies. The HNFDH(Hybrid Next Fit Decreasing Height) algorithm is used as an internal algorithm. We find that use of the proper parameter and function such as maximum number of tabu list and space utilization function yields a good solution in a reduced time. We present a tabu search algorithm and its performance through extensive computational experiments.

  • Intrapulmonary shunt was measured by $^{99m}Tc$-MAA perfusion tung scan. The study was included 76 patients. Significant amount of intrapulmonary shunt was observed in the pulmonary disease patients and liver disease patients. The shunt amount was correlated well with $PaO_2$ and $AaDO_2$ level. Further study is needed to search the various factors affecting the amount of intrapulmonary shunt.

  • This paper investigates how internal knowledge dependency and its interaction with external knowledge adoption affect innovation performance in Korean companies. We categorize innovation performance into exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation. Especially, we examine business group effects as group headquarters and sister subsidiaries holistically form the boundary of the firm. Our empirical results first suggest that the degree of internal knowledge dependency is positively associated with exploitative innovation, but negatively with exploratory innovation. Second, internal knowledge dependency is more negatively related to exploratory innovation in independent firms than in business group affiliates. Third, independent firms' adoption of external knowledge tends to strengthen the positive relationship between internal knowledge dependency and exploitative innovation. Finally, exploitative external knowledge search appears to strengthen the negative relationship between internal knowledge dependency and exploratory innovation in both types of firms.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to establish the foundations for the application of appropriate programs for pain reduction in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: The literature on patients with rheumatoid arthritis were found on an electronic search site for South Korean academic papers. The search terms "rheumatism" and "rheumatoid arthritis" were used independently. The combined terms "rheumatism and pain" and "rheumatoid arthritis and pain" were also used. For the meta-analysis, the R version 3.5.1 program was utilized. Results: The meta-analysis of eight papers showed a large effect size of -4.11. The programs were most effective in the order of aquatic exercise, aromatherapy, self-help education, muscle strength exercises, and tai chi. Conclusion: This study could provide the basis for presenting appropriate programs for pain management in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of laser therapy for diabetic ulcer by using methods of systematic review. Methods : In this review, PubMed, Cochrane library, Web of Science, CNKI, CiNii, J-STAGE, NDSL and OASIS were used as the search engines. The search period is from the start date of the search engine to October 3, 2016. Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) using laser therapy for diabetic ulcer were searched and extracted by two independent researchers. Risk of bias(RoB) of Cochrane was used to assess methodological quality of studies. Results : Finally, five RCTs were selected. The follow-up period ranged from 15 days to 20 weeks. InGaAlP laser, GaAlAs laser and light emitting diode(LED) were used to treat diabetic ulcer. The clinical trials used sham laser irradiation or standard treatment as control in comparison to laser therapy. The endpoints included ulcer size, rate of healing and time to healing with follow-up period. The RCTs demonstrated therapeutic outcomes with no adverse effect. Most items of RoB were unclear and methodological quality was low. Conclusions : Our analysis suggests that laser therapy has therapeutic effects for diabetic ulcer. However, more systematic and stringent clinical trials will be required.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of electroacupuncture on acute pancreatitis (AP). Method: The search engines that were used included PubMed, CNKI, OASIS, NDSL, the Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal, and J-STAGE. The search period was from the creation of the search engine to May 6, 2019; there were no language limitations. Extractions and selections from the literation were made by two authors. The study included randomized controlled trials with electroacupuncture for patients with acute pancreatitis. Cochrane's risk of bias (RoB) was used as the methodological quality assessment scale. Results: Nine studies were finally selected. It was observed that using electroacupuncture with general Western medicine treatment for AP was more effective than using only general Western medicine treatment. Although most of the studies showed a high risk of bias, there were significant differences among the indicators. Conclusion: The electroacupuncture treatment with Western medicine may be more effective in reducing symptoms of AP than Western medicine alone. However, due to the limitations of the research design, it was not enough to obtain reliable information. As a result, high quality research will be additionally required.

  • Through a story, the audience moves between fiction and reality. A story is an emotional experience that appeals to human feeling. The rational function of a story is to convey knowledge and information, and its emotional function is to touch the audience. Moreover, these aspects of a story are linked to its language, text, and imagery. This paper focuses on the emotional function of a story. In a experiential story, the audience's emotional response is a result of maximum dramatic communication between them and the characters. Through psychological and mental communion with the characters, the audience becomes immersed in the story when they emotionally identify with the characters, and dramatic communication is achieved. However, dramatic communication is mostly achieved instantaneously. The elements of a film need to be realized to sustain dramatic communication such that the audience continues to be immersed in the story. The audience can identify with the characters who are placed in real-life situations by considering the characters' external and internal aspects. External search pertains to the tangible aspects of the character such as its background, life, and conversation. Through the audience's external search, the characters communicate with the audience. Internal search deals with aspects of the characters' personality such as their self-concept, desires, and internal conflicts. Through internal search, the audience understands the inner side of the characters. In this process, a film director should ensure that the acting depicts the inner side of the characters. In other words, the director should perfectly depict the internal and external elements of a human on screen. Appropriate visualization can lead to dramatic communication with the characters and thereby create the audience's emotional response. Considering these techniques, this paper focuses on the scenes of the film "Poetry" in which dramatic communication with the characters creates the audience's emotional response. Accordingly, the audience plays a role in sustaining dramatic communication for the physical screen time of a film.
